The declared values for vibration and noise, which have been measured according to a standardized test method, can be used to compare different tools with each other and for a preliminary assessment of exposure. The measurement values have been determined in accordance with EN ISO 3744:1995.
WARNING!
The actual vibration and noise level when using tools may differ from the specified maximum value, depending on how the tool is used and the material. It is therefore necessary to determine which safety precautions are required to protect the user, based on an estimate of exposure in actual operating conditions (taking into account all stages of the work cycle, e.g. the time when the tool is switched off and when it is idling, in addition to the start- up time).

INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING
Fasten a suitable line to the handle before using for the first time. The line is used to lower the product down into the water and to carry it.
NOTE:
If the product is used hanging from the line, the line must be checked at regular intervals for wear and damage.
Connection of outlet tube
Temporary use
For temporary use you can use a water hose with a diameter of 1 inch (25 mm) to 11/2 (38 mm) inches.
Permanent installation
For permanent installation a tube and non-return valve are recommended to prevent return flow when the product is switched oft
- Screw the outlet tube on the outlet connection.
- When using a hose, screw the hose adapter on the outlet connection.
- Press the hose firmly on the hose adapter and secure with a hose clip.
- The hose adapter can be cut as shown in the figure. In which case the hose is connected with a 11/4 inch (32 mm) cap nut.
IMPORTANT:
Risk of material damage. Tighten the hose adapter by hand during assembly.
The threads can be damaged if overtightened.
INSTALLATION
In order to work properly the product needs a free space of at least 50 x 50 cm for the float switch to move freely. The product can be used submerged, down to the depth specified in the technical data.
- Install the product so that the intake openings cannot be blocked. Put it on a level, stable surface, if necessary.
- Check that the product is stable.
IMPORTANT
Risk of material damage. Do not lift the product by the cord or the outlet tube, they are not designed to support the weight of the product.
- Lower the product at an angle into the water so that no air remains underneath — otherwise this prevents suction. Once the product is submerged, it can be straightened up.
- Place the product on the bottom of the tank. Lower it down with a line fastened to the handle.
- Fasten the end of the line securely to lower the product.
- The product can also be used suspended from the line.
NOTE:
When used hanging on the line: Do not run the product without the outlet tube connected. Make sure the product does not turn around its longitudinal axis.
USE
When the product is connected to the power supply it starts and stops
automatically with the float switch.
FIG. 2
-
The product starts when the level of the water rises and the float switch lifts (1).
The product switches off when the float switch has sunk to the bottom (2). -
The level switch cord can move in the clip (3). The different levels between starting and stopping can be adjusted as follows.
-
Short cord: Start and stop levels close to each other.
-
Long cord: Start and stop levels well away from each other.
IMPORTANT:
Risk of material damage. The float switch must be able to move so that the product cannot run dry.
MAINTANANCE
BEFORE USE
- Check the casing and cords for damage.
- Check the float switch for damage. Lift and shake the float switch to check that the metal balls move.
AFTER EACH USE
Clean the product.
External cleaning
Rinse with clean water. Remove stubborn stains with a brush and detergent. Lower the product into a container with clean water and run for a short time to flush the inside of the product.
Cleaning the intake
Clear the inlet. Open the pressure tube connection and remove any fibres that have wound around the rotor shaft. Remove stubborn stains with a brush and detergent.
NOTE:
Before using the product again, allow it to stand in the water for a while to prevent any deposits and residue from clogging it.
STORAGE
If there is a risk of frost, dismantle and clean the product and its accessories and store in a frost-free place.
IMPORTANT:
Risk of material damage. The product and its accessories contain water, which means that they can burst if the water freezes.
