SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- The product is only intended to be used indoors in a dry, well ventilated area.
- Never attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Never attempt to charge batteries not intended to be used with this charger.
- If the product’s power cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised service centre to prevent the risk of electric shock.
- The product can be used by children from 8 years and upwards and by persons with physical, sensorial or mental disabilities, or persons who lack experience or knowledge, if they are supervised or receive instructions concerning the safe use of the product and understand the risks involved with its use. Do not allow children to play with the product. Do not allow children to clean or maintain the product without superv1s1on.
- Keep small children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the product. Keep the charger and the power cord away from children under eight years of age.
- Unplug the power cord from the power point before inserting or removing the battery.
- Never leave the product unattended – risk of fire and electric shock.
- Protect the product from moisture. Damp or dirty conditions can have an adverse effect on the product.
- Never immerse the product in water or any other liquid, or use it where there is a risk of it being splashed, or dropping into water.
- WARNING : Explosive gas. Avoid sparks and naked flames. Make sure there is adequate ventilation when using the product.
- Connect the product to an easily accessible power point near the battery charger.
- The product is only intended for household use, not for commercial use.
- Connect the product via a residual current device (max 30 mA) if possible. Never modify the power cord or plug.
- Never pull out the plug with the power cord, or touch the power cord with wet hands. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces/objects, oil, sharp edges and moving objects.
- Check the product for damage.
- Be careful when handling and using the product.
- Avoid dropping the product and do not subject it to knocks and blows – risk of material damage and personal injury.
- Never use a damaged battery charger or battery.
- Do not insert objects or your fingers in the openings on the product.
- Do not expose the product to rain or moisture risk of corrosion.
- Do not expose the product to dust and debris risk of blockage and overheating.

UNPACKING
Carefully remove the product and any accessories from the packaging and check that the product is not damaged. Do not use the product if it is damaged. If possible save the packaging until the warranty has expired.
WARNING! Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children and pets – risk of suffocation.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
NOTE: The battery is supplied uncharged and must be charged before using for the first time.
- The battery (A) must be removed from the tool before it can be charged. Press the battery catch button (B) and carefully pull out the battery.
- Connect the battery charger (3) to a 230 V power point.
- The red status light (1) goes on to show that the charger is supplied with voltage.
- Put the battery in the charger.
- After a few seconds the green status light (2) also goes on to indicate that the charging has started. The light stays on while the charging in progress.
- When the battery is fully charged the red status lights go off but the green light stays on.
- Remove the battery from the battery charger by holding the battery charger in one hand and removing the battery from the charger with the other.
IMPORTANT:
- Check the condition of the charger and the battery before use. Do not attempt to charge if the battery or charger are damaged.
- Do not pull the power cord to pull out the plug, grip the plug to avoid damaging the cord.
- The charger gets warm when charging. Allow it to cool for 15 minutes before charging again.
TIPS FOR MAXIMUM BATTERY LIFE
- Avoid overdischarging – charge the batteries before they are fully discharged.
- When the power tool begins to fail, stop working and charge the battery. If you continue working until the battery is fully discharged this can damage the battery.
- Avoid charging at high temperatures. A rechargeable battery will be hot for a while after use. If such a battery is charged immediately after use the active substances inside the battery can be corrupted and reduce the battery life. Allow the battery to cool before charging.
- Do not charge the battery at temperatures below 5° C or above 30°C, this can damage the battery.
- Allow the battery to reach room temperature before charging.
NOTE: Charging a cold or hot battery can cause serious personal injury or serious damage to the battery or charger.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE: Always pull out the plug before cleaning.
Clean and maintain the product at regular intervals so that it retains its
correct functionality. Clean with a dry cloth.
TROUBLESHOOTING
WARNING!
- If any of the following occur, pull out the plug and remove the battery or batteries from the charger.
- Do not pull the power cord to pull out the plug. Grip the plug to avoid damaging the cord.
NO STATUS LIGHTS GO ON
- Pull out the plug from the power point. Remove the battery from the battery charger. Hold the battery charger in one hand and remove the battery from the charger with the other hand.
- If the battery is hot when attempting to charge, for example as a result of use or exposure to direct sunlight, no charging will take place. In which case, allow the battery to cool before charging.
THE STATUS LIGHT FLASHES
If the red status light flashes rapidly, check the battery compartment in the
charger and remove any foreign objects. If there are no foreign objects in the
battery compartment there is probably a fault on the battery or charger. Allow
the battery and/or charger to cool and then try to charge again. Contact the
retailer if the fault persists.
