Fig. A shows the frame once Step 1 and Step 2 have been completed.
NOTE: At least 4 people are required to ensure correct and safe assembly.

STEP 2: ASSEMBLING THE FRAME
Place the product on a suitable flat surface.

  1. Assembling the end walls.
    a. Assemble 7 x component pieces as per Fig.
    B (1 x upper strut (1), 2 x side struts (2), 2 x corner supports (3), and 2 x corner foot pieces (6)) for one end wall.
    b. Repeat for the other end wall.

  2. Assembling the 5 arch struts.
    a. Assemble 7 x component pieces as per Fig.
    C (1 x upper strut (1), 2 x side struts (2), 2 x upper supports (4), and 2 x lower supports (5) for one arch strut.
    b. Repeat for the other 4 arch struts.
    c. Place the end of the lower arch support into a footplate (12). Align the holes in the support with the holes in the base plate and insert the pin (14) through the holes. Lock the pin with the cotter (15) and split the cotter legs to secure it in place. Gently tap on the pieces with a rubber mallet to ensure they are correctly assembled.

  3. Assembling the stay.
    a. Fit 4 x stays (7) to one of the end walls using the connectors (11) and nut (16), washer (17), and screw (18). (Fig. D)
    b. Insert the male connector on one stay (8) into the other stay (7) (Fig. E).
    c. Connect the two parts of the diagonal stay (9, 10) with a nut (21) and screw (20).
    d. Secure the other end of the diagonal stay to the corner support (3) using a nut (16), washer (17), and screw (19). Fasten the other end of the diagonal stay to the side strut (2), the stay (7), and the stay with male connection (8) using a connector (11), nut (16), washer (17) and screw (18).
    e. Repeat to assemble all arches and the other end wall (Fig. F). NOTE: The other diagonal stay is assembled the opposite way to the first.

  4. Fitting the roof stay.
    a. Affix the stay (7) to the underside of the end wall’s upper strut using a nut (16), washer (17) and screw (18) (Fig. G).
    b. Insert the stay (8) into the other stay (7) and affix to next arch using a nut (16), washer (17) and screw (18). Fix the stay (8) above the upper strut (Fig. G).
NOTE: The end of the final strut (8) should be affixed to the end wall.

  5. Straightening up and anchoring the frame.
    a. Check that the distance between the walls is 366 cm at both wall ends and in the middle.
    b. Measure the frame’s diagonals (Fig. H). When both the diagonals are equal, the frames corners are at right angles. Adjust the frame until the difference between the diagonals is no higher than 2.5 cm.
    c. Check once more that the width is 366 cm at both ends and in the middle.
    d. Anchor the 4 corner foot pieces (6) with the screw anchor (25), wire (26) and wire lock (27) by screwing down the screw anchors (25) into the ground inside the tent. Secure them with the wire (26) and wire lock (27) Fig. I).

STEP 3: FITTING THE CANVAS

  1. Fitting the canvas to the front and rear end walls.
Place the canvas with the zipped door on the desired end wall. The zip should be closed for fitting. The canvas for the rear end wall has no door. The canvases are both fitted in the same way.
    e. Locate the strap along the edge of the canvas for the front end wall. The strap is visible at the height of the stay and corner foot pieces. The ends of the strap stick out by the corner foot pieces. Securely knot the strap ends in the corner supports.
    f. Loosen the 5 stay ends from the end wall.
    g. Fold the edge of the canvas around the end wall (Fig. J).
    h. Insert the stay through the hole in the canvas edge and place the strap outside the stay end. Affix the stay to the end wall again (Fig. K1, K2, K3).
    i. Loosen the strap from the one corner foot piece and thread it through the tensioner (13) (Fig. K4). Ratchet the tensioner lever forwards and backwards a few times to catch hold of the strap (Fig. K5). Hook in the tensioner’s S-hook in the corner foot piece and ratchet the tensioner lever forwards and backwards to tighten the strap (Fig. K6).
    j. Repeat for the strap on the other side.
    k. One person should stand on a stool or similar at the highest point of the roof, whilst another person should tension the strap at the corner foot pieces.
    l. The person at the highest point checks that the canvas and strap are correctly placed over the stay and around the edge of the end wall.
    m. Check when the strap is tightened that the door is correctly angled and reaches all the way to the ground.

  2. Fitting the roof canvas.
    a. Lay out the canvas on the ground next to the frame, with the inside (the side with the eyelets) downwards and the edges with the straps towards the front and rear walls
    b. Fix lines through the eyelets in each end of the canvas. If enough people work to assemble the tent, it is easier to also have a line in the middle of the canvas (Fig. L).
    c. Pull the canvas over the frame using the lines (Fig. M) so that the canvas is centred. The canvas should be sticking out an equal distance at all 4 corners.
    d. Insert the strap ends into the corners of the tensioner (13).
    e. Hook in the tensioner’s S-hook into the hole in the corner foot piece and ratchet the tensioner lever forwards and backwards to tighten the strap and canvas. Do not pull too hard.
    f. Thread a line through the hole in the canvas around the lower stay to secure the canvas (Fig. N).
Check that the canvas is flat and evenly placed in all directions. Tighten the line securing the canvas.
    g. Tighten the strap again if needed.
NOTE: Do not pull too hard; this can damage the strap and/or fixing points. The product is now ready for use.
NOTE: Check regularly that the canvas and straps are correctly tightened and that all the frame components fit correctly. Tighten the straps if needed. Check 2 or 3 times in the first week and then once per week in the first month. Thereafter, check once a month.
