Thank you for purchasing the Nedis HTIF10FYW.
This document is the user manual and contains all the information for correct, efficient and safe use of the product.
This user manual is addressed to the end user. Read this information carefully before installing or using the product.
Always store this information with the product for use in the future.
Product description
The Nedis HTIF10FYW is an industrial fan heater that allows the user to control the surrounding temperature.
The fan motor is not controlled by the thermostat and keeps working when the thermostat cuts off the heating element.
The self-resetting thermal cut-out will switch off the heater to ensure the safety when overheating.
The fan heater can be used in a domestic environment, such as a garage or a small workshop.
Intended use
The product is exclusively intended as a fan heater.
This product is only suitable for well insulated spaces or occasional use.
The product is not intended for professional use.
Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

Safety instructions
WARNING
- Only use the product as described in this manual.
- Do not use a damaged product.
- Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
- Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the product provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the product or perform user maintenance.
- This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
- Do not splash water onto the product.
- Do not let water enter the product.
- Do not use the product in wet or damp environments.
- Do not cover the product.
- Keep the product far away from loose products (e.g. curtains, plastic bags, paper) that can cover the air inlet easily.
- Keep the product at a distance from flammable objects such as furniture, curtains and similar.
- Do not use the product in rooms where flammable liquids or gases are used or stored.
- Do not place the product on moving vehicles or somewhere easy to be tipped over.
- Unplug the power cord when the product is not in use for a long time.
- Do not unplug the product by pulling on the cable. Always grasp the plug and pull.
- When using an extension cord, use one which is as short as possible and fully extended.
- Do not connect other products to the same power outlet as the product.
- Do not use the product using an on/off timer or other equipment which can automatically switch the device on.
- Do not locate the product immediately below a power outlet.
- Do not leave the heater unattended for a considerable amount of time when in use.
- This product may only be serviced by a qualified technician for maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.
Installation
- Check the contents of the package
- Check the product for any visible damage. If the product is missing or damaged, contact the Nedis B.V. service desk via the website: www.nedis.com.
Connecting the heater to the mains
1. Place the fan heater on a leveled and firm surface.
2. Plug the power plug 2 into a power outlet.
Use
Turning on the heater
- When using the fan heater for the first time, a slight emission of smoke may occur. This is normal and stops after a short time.
1. Turn the thermostat 4 to the MAX position.
2. Turn the power selector 3 to the desired power setting.
Turning off the heater
1. Turn the thermostat 4 to the MIN position.
2. Turn the power selector 3 to the fan position.
3. After 2 minutes, turn the power selector to the 0 position.
4. Unplug the power plug 2 out of the power outlet.
Maintenance
- Before cleaning the fan heater, disconnect the plug from the power outlet and let it cool down.
- Clean the product regularly with a soft sponge. When the fan heater is dirty, wipe with a sponge dipped in <50 °C water and mild detergent.
- Do not splash water onto the product.
- Do not let water enter the product.
- Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, acid or acetone when cleaning the product.
- Before storing the fan heater, disconnect the plug from the power outlet and let it cool down.
- When the fan heater is not in use, cover it with a plastic bag and store it in a packing box in a dry, ventilated place.

Pull the power cable and check the connection of the plug and the power outlet. Plug the power cable firmly back into the power outlet.
The power outlet has no power.

The input voltage is too high or too low.

Use the correct power supply according to the rating on the label.
The air inlet grill is blocked.

Keep the product far away from loose products (e.g. curtains, plastic bags, paper) that can cover the air inlet easily.
Fan heater does not heat up, only fan works.

The power selector is not in a heat setting.
|
Turn the power selector to a heat setting.
The thermostat has worked.
|
Turn the thermostat and listen if there is an open/close sound. If there is no click and the thermostat is not damaged, the heater will automatically turn on when the heater is cooled down.
The self-resetting thermal cut-out has worked.

Turn off the heater and check if a blockage occured at the air inlet or air outlet. Unplug the power plug and wait at least 10 minutes for the self- resetting thermal cut-out system to reset before attempting to restart the heater.
Fan heater makes abnormal noises.

The fan heater is not placed on a leveled surface.

Place the fan heater on a leveled and firm surface.
