- A50 X supports HDMI connectivity with 2 game consoles, doing so requires 3 HDMI cables, you may have received 1 HDMI cable from each console at time of purchase 2 USB-A to USB-C cables are also needed
- For optimal video performance and passthrough of HDMI 2 1 features such as Variable Refresh Rate, make sure all HDMI cables used are certified for HDMI 2 1 Ultra High Speed and/or rated for 48Gbps

GETTING STARTED

3.1 SETUP RECOMMENDATIONS
CONSOLES: For the best experience, the recommended setup method uses both HDMI and USB connectivity. The A50 X sits between your console and the TV/Display; one HDMI and one USB cable are needed to connect the A50 X Base Station to a Game Console Then another HDMI cable is needed to connect the Base Station to your TV
- When using HDMI and USB cables, Audio and Voice Chat mix is adjustable using the Game/Voice Balancer controls on
the headset, for both XBOX and PlayStation consoles Make sure both HDMI and USB cables are plugged into the same group of ports for each platform See section 3.7 for more details about A50 X HDMI capabilities
For PC – The A50 X connects with a Windows machine using USB-Audio with multiple USB-Audio endpoints This allows you to route media audio to a primary endpoint and voice chat apps to another endpoint, allowing you to balance the Game/ Voice audio mix on the-fly with headset controls
The A50 X also features a StreamPort, this allows you to send (stream) a mix of audio signals that you hear on your headset to another application (for recording or broadcasting) By using Logitech G software G HUB, you can also include/exclude/ adjust each audio signal independently
About Bluetooth Audio – The A50 X features a Bluetooth receiver integrated in the Base Station This allows you to connect a secondary device such as a smartphone or tablet for music and calls The A50 X headset needs to be within range of the Base Station for all audio playback, including Bluetooth The Bluetooth feature will not be available if the headset is out of range of the Base Station Bluetooth volume can be adjusted directly from the Bluetooth source device For more info, please see section 4 5 for details on connecting Bluetooth
3.2 CONNECTING TO TV AND POWER

Insert an HDMI Cable (not included) from the Base Station HDMI Out to your TV’s HDMI input
• To use features or experience performance available with HDMI 2 1, the TV, HDMI Cable, and source system must all be rated for HDMI 2 1 While using a lower spec HDMI cable will not block video and audio signals, it will downgrade your experience Please use connections that match your equipment capabilities
• For optimal experience and compatibility, it is NOT recommended to connect the A50 X to an HDMI switch, signal repeater, Audio/Video Receivers, or Sound Bars Please connect A50 X directly to a console and the TV
• If you are using a soundbar or external speakers with your TV’s HDMI ARC/eARC port, it is recommended to connect the A50 X Base Station to another HDMI 2 1 input -
With the included USB Combo (Y) Cable, plug the Red USB-C into the Base Station’s USB-C port labeled 5V DC and outlined in red Plug the Black USB-C into the supplied Power Adapter and into an outlet/power source
• The A50 X requires dedicated external power Please use the included Power Adapter and Y-Cable for the best experience
• If a third party adapter must be used, make sure it is USB Power Delivery certified If the Base Station indicator lights flashes red-white, please check the power adapter is USB PD and the Y-Cable is used
3.3 CONNECTING TO XBOX
- Insert an HDMI cable (not included) and a USB cable from the XBOX console into the pair of ports labeled “XBOX” on the rear of the A50 X Base Station
- Make sure the supplied USB Combo (Y) Cable and
Power Adapter is plugged into the Base Station’s USB-C port labeled 5V DC and outlined in red The product will not function without dedicated external power
- Make sure both cables are plugged into the same pair of ports as indicated or Game/ Voice balancing will not work
- Though not required, it is recommended the HDMI cable used is rated for 2 1 Ultra High Speed Please see section 3 8 About HDMI for more information
3.4 CONNECTING TO PLAYSTATION
- Insert an HDMI (not included) and a USB cable from the PlayStation console into the pair of ports labeled “PS” on the rear of the A50 X Base Station
- Make sure the supplied USB Combo (Y) Cable and Power Adapter is plugged into the Base Station’s USB-C port labeled 5V DC and outlined in red The product will not function without dedicated external power
- Make sure both cables are plugged into the same pair of ports as indicated or Game/ Voice balancing will not work
- Though not required, it is recommended the HDMI cable used is rated for 2 1 Ultra High Speed Please see section 3 8 About HDMI for more information
3.5 CONNECTING TO PC
- Make sure the supplied USB Combo (Y) Cable and Power Adapter is plugged into the Base Station’s USB-C port labeled 5V DC and outlined in red The product will not function without dedicated external power
- Insert USB-A plug on the Y-Cable (labeled PC) into one of the USB-A ports on the PC
- Though not strictly necessary, it is recommend A50 X is connected to a USB-A port rated for USB 3 0 SuperSpeed or higher These are commonly colored Blue though not always the case Please consult your device’s user manual
- To avoid instability, spotty connection, or USB resource warning message, please make sure A50 X is connected directly to the PC’s USB ports It is not recommended for A50 X to be connected through a USB HUB, KVM Switch, or another intermediary peripheral/accessory
3.6 CONNECTING BLUETOOTH
- Make sure the supplied USB Combo (Y) Cable and Power Adapter is plugged into the Base Station’s USB-C port labeled 5V DC and outlined in red The product will not function without dedicated external power
- The headset can be either docked or undocked from the Base Station; power on the Headset by toggling the headset Power Switch
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds
- Find the Bluetooth indicator on the Base Station front panel, it should begin to flash
- From your Bluetooth device, connect to “A50 X” in the pairing list
- The A50 X headset needs to be connected to the Base Station for all audio playback, including Bluetooth The Bluetooth feature will not be available if the headset is out of range of the Base Station
3.7 ABOUT ALTERNATE/ADVANCED SETUPS
3 7 1 – It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to follow the setup method recommended in 3 1 However, if desired, A50 X is also capable of two alternate setup methods for advanced use: USB Mode – In this setup, a game console connects to the A50 X using one USB cable (with Game and Voice Chat signals are both sent) The console’s HDMI is directly connected to the TV for video only Please note:
- For XBOX: the Game/Voice balancer feature will continue to function if properly connected to the USB-C port designated for XBOX It will not work if connected to any other ports
- For PlayStation: the Game/Voice balancer feature will not function with USB only Note that the maximum audio quality and sampling fidelity may become limited
3.7.1 – USB ONLY STEPS:

Make sure the supplied USB Combo (Y) Cable and Power Adapter is connected to the Base Station’s USB-C port labeled 5V DC and outlined in red The product will not function without dedicated external power

Connect a USB-C cable from the XBOX to the Base Station USB port designated as XBOX
• In this setup, the XBOX console will mix both Game audio and Voice chat as a single USB-Audio signal The A50 X headset’s Game/Voice balancing controls will continue to function The audio signal will be limited to the XBOX maximum capability of 16bit/48kHz -
Connect a USB-C cable from the PlayStation to the Base Station USB port designated as PS
• In this setup, the PlayStation console will mix both Game audio and Voice chat as a single USB-Audio signal The A50 X headset’s Game/Voice balancing controls will not function The audio signal will be limited to the PlayStation’s maximum capability of 16bit/48kHz
3.8 ABOUT A50 X HDMI
- All HDMI ports on A50 X are HDMI 2 1 rated for 40Gbps throughput HDMI video signals are passed through with features such Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto-Low-Latency-Mode (ALLM) retained to the TV/Display Doing so requires the use of HDMI cables capable of matching your equipment capabilities HDMI 2 1 content fidelity and features will not function when older cables are used, please double check your cable and equipment’s rating
- HDMI-CEC – The A50 X is designed to passthrough all HDMI-CEC commands from source to destination CEC implementation varies considerably between manufacturers and/or device type, there could be differences in Behavior, interoperability issue, or features not functioning as expected In case of issues, we recommend experimenting with individual CEC features (if available) or disable CEC all together Performance, interoperability, and compatibility cannot be guaranteed
HOW TO USE
4.1 HEADSET CONTROLS
- Flip-to-Mute Microphone: The A50 X headset features an adjustable boom microphone When flipped to the fully upright position, your mic signal is muted at the headset level When flipping you will feel a mechanical engagement point
- Game/Voice Balancing: When connected appropriately or used with supported sources, the A50 X is capable of dual audio signal playback and balancing between both This feature is known collectively as Game/ Voice balancing It lets you quickly adjust how much of the game or friend’s voice-chatter you want to hear, depending on your needs and preferences This can be done using the Game/Voice balancer controls on the right ear of the headset An audible notification tone will be played at Game Max, Mid, Voice Max points
- Headset Volume and Adjustment: The A50 X features an internal volume management and control scheme; the headset’s volume is independent and does not sync with the source system Volume is adjusted intuitively using the control wheel An audible notification tone will be played at volume max and volume zero points
4.1.1 CHANGING INPUTS
If multiple systems are plugged in, A50 X allows you to switch between each system using the PLAYSYNC button, located on the headset, under the Power Switch
- When the headset is undocked, the power must be on for the PLAYSYNC button to function Single press the to cycle between systems The Base Station’s Input LED Indicator will respond
- Both Audio and Video will switch, your TV/Display may go dark momentarily when switching
- When all three systems are active, pressing the PLAYSYNC button will switch inputs sequentially from XBOX to PC to PlayStation
- You can use the PLAYSYNC button when the headset is docked to the Base Station, no matter what state the Power Switch is toggled to
• In some instances, switching inputs may wake systems that are in sleep mode If this is undesired, please try toggling/disabling Sleep or HDMI-CEC features if available
4.2 XBOX HOW TO
The A50 X works best with the XBOX Series X and S consoles when both HDMI and USB connections are used Your A50 X also features Dolby Atmos with the included lifetime license

Place A50 X headset in the Base Station dock and powered on

In XBOX Settings > Volume and audio output > Speaker audio:
• If you have a TV/Stereo speakers, choose “Stereo uncompressed”
• If your equipment is capable, selecting “Dolby Atmos for home theater (HDMI only)” is recommended -
For Headset audio, select Stereo uncompressed or Dolby Atmos for Headphones

Under Additional options, leave everything else unchecked
Use
- When the Headset is docked/powered off, Audio from the XBOX will pass through the A50 X Base Station to the TV/Speaker If Dolby Atmos is used, XBOX will automatically set it to Home theater mode
- When the headset is undocked/powered on, Audio from the XBOX will be auto-routed to the headset If Dolby Atmos is used, XBOX will automatically set it to Headphones mode XBOX will notify on screen when the headset is successfully assigned and appropriate modes are set
• If the A50 X headset is undocked, you can power it off at any time to resume audio playback to your TV/Speakers
• Note: the included Dolby Atmos license is hardware bound to your A50 X Activating and using this feature on XBOX requires both HDMI and USB connections to made to the console
4.3 PLAYSTATION HOW TO
The A50 X works best with the Playstation console when both HDMI and USB connections are used
Configure

Place A50 X headset in the Base Station dock and powered on 2 In Setting > Sound > Audio Output:
• For Output Device, choose HDMI Device (TV) and make sure Switch Output Device Automatically is disabled
• For HDMI Device Type, choose TV if you have a TV, Stereo speakers, or Stereo soundbar Choose AV Amplifier if you have
a multi-speaker sound system, choose the number of channels that appropriately matches your setup
• Navigate to the bottom and under Audio Form (Priority), select Linear PCM -
Optionally: if desired, 3D Audio for TV Speakers can be enabled, but be sure to toggle off/disallow Apply Measurement Results to 3D Audio

Under Microphone, be sure A50 X is selected
Use
- When the Headset is docked/powered off, Audio from the PlayStation will pass through the A50 X Base Station to the TV/Speaker
- When the headset is undocked/powered on, Audio from the PlayStation will be auto-routed to the headset
• If the A50 X headset is undocked, you can power off at any time to resume audio playback to your TV/Speakers
4.4 PC HOW TO
The A50 X works best with Windows 10/11 PCs when used with the included USB Combo (Y) Cable and Power Adapter The A50 X provides several USB Audio endpoints that can be used for different functions or needs Your A50 X also features Dolby Atmos with the included lifetime license

Place A50 X headset in the Base Station dock and powered on

Under Setting > Sound > Output:
• Make sure Output is set to A50 X Game Your system will now use this Audio Endpoint as the main output
• Optional: you can also set the Spatial Audio format by clicking on A50 X Game to navigate to its Properties, then under Spatial Audio drop down, select either Microsoft Windows Sonic for Headphones or Dolby Atmos for Headphones if desired -
Under Setting > Sound > Input:
• Make sure Input is set to A50 X Mic Out Your system will now use the A50 X as the main microphone -
Optional: You’ll notice a secondary USB Audio Output Endpoint labeled A50 X Voice If desired, you can point your chat application or your game’s chat output to this Audio Endpoint Doing so will enable the Game-Voice balancing feature that’s assigned to the on headset controls

Optional: You notice a secondary USB Audio Input Endpoint labeled A50 X Stream Out This is used for the Stream Output feature of A50 X For details, please see the Stream Output section
Use
- Whenever the Base Station is USB connected to your PC and connected to power, the A50 X will always output audio if set as the primary audio device Docking and Undocking the headset will not affect your system’s audio output and does not cause the audio to redirect
• Note: the included Dolby Atmos license is hardware bound to your A50 X Activating and using this feature on XBOX requires both HDMI and USB connections to made to the console
4.5 BLUETOOTH HOW TO
The A50 X headset needs to be connected to the Base Station for all audio playback, including Bluetooth The Bluetooth feature will not be available if the headset is out of range of the Base Station
Configure
- When the headset in range of the Base Station and powered on.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds.
- On your Bluetooth device find A50 X in the pairing list and connect to it.
- NOTE: If A50 X is powered off it will not automatically reconnect to the last Bluetooth device used. Remember to reconnect
to A50 X from your Bluetooth device.
Use

When A50 X is connected to your bluetooth device, the following audio and playback controls are available:
• Play/Pause: Single Tap.
• Track Forward: Double Tap.
• Track Back or Previous Track: Triple Tap. -
When receiving a voice call, the following controls are available:
• Call Answer/Call End: Single Tap.
• Call Reject: Hold. -
To adjust the volume of the Bluetooth audio (music or calls), simply do so using the Bluetooth device’s volume buttons or controls.
4.6 DOCKING AND CHARGING HOW TO
The A50 X requires a dedicated external power source Please use the included AC adapter and USB Combo (Y) Cable For details, please see section 3.2 Connecting to TV and Power After each session of use, it is recommended to keep the A50 X headset docked to the Base Station, this will allow the battery to stay topped off and ready for use After each session, we recommend docking the headset to the Base Station Alternatively, the headset includes a USB-C port (located on the right ear) to allow for wired charging during use or quick top offs
Use
- Before docking, make sure the headset is in the correct orientation; the boom mic should be on the left-hand side and the button controls should be facing you
- Make sure to flip the boom mic to the up (muted) position and the ear cups are not rotated or flipped inwards towards you
- Gently place the headset on the Base Station be sure to check both Left and Right tubes are extended to the same lengths and positions, this will help the headset align properly The Base Station has
- LEDs indicating the headset’s battery state of charge, in 25% increments
- The headset has one LED integrated into the power switch:
- Power On/Battery Full: White
- Sleep Mode: Breathing White
- Battery Charging: Orange
- Battery Low: Steady Red
- Battery Critical (less than 15 minutes playtime remaining): Breathing Red
