Product Information

The product is a luminaire that emits light. It has differentLED modules with varying color temperatures, color rendering index, module luminous flux, luminaire luminous flux, and luminaireluminous efficiency. The luminaire is designed to be installed and operated in accordance with national safety regulations. It isrecommended to have the installation and commissioning carried out by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer does not accept liability for any damage caused by improper use or installation. Overvoltage protection is included in the luminaire, but additional protection components are recommended for extra protection against transients.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Ensure that the luminaire is installed and operated in compliance with national safety regulations.
2. Have the installation and commissioning performed by a qualified electrician.
3. If modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications will be considered the manufacturer.
4. For additional protection against transients, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components.
5. Refer to the manufacturer’s website at www.bega.com for available overvoltage protection components.
6. To replace the LED module, follow these steps:
7. Disconnect the system and open the luminaire.
8. Locate the label in the luminaire that indicates the designation of the LED module.
9. Obtain a replacement module with matching light color and light output.
10. Use standard tools to replace the module. Qualified persons can perform this task.
11. Follow the installation instructions provided for the LED module.
12. If the glass is defective, replace it before closing the luminaire.
13. Close the luminaire after completing the replacement.

• The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations. Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
• The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Overvoltage protection

• The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547.
• To achieve an additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components.

Installation

• Undo hexagon socket head screws (wrench size 3 mm) through the opening in the luminaire housing up to the stop and lift luminaire top.
• Loosen earth connection (plug connection) and LED connection between luminaire top and luminaire base.
• LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
• Lead the main supply cable through the cable entry of the luminaire base.
• Ensure correct directionality towards the area to be illuminated.
• Fix the luminaire base with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
• Make the earth conductor connection and the electrical connection.
• For digital control please use the connecting terminal DA, DA.
• In case this terminal is not used the luminaire will be operated at full light output.
• Make earth connection (plug connection) and LED connection between luminaire top and luminaire base again.
• Install the luminaire top, press on and tighten screws evenly.

Cleaning · Maintenance

• Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt.

Replacement of the LED module

• The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
• The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted.
• The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
• Disconnect the system and open the luminaire. Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
• Defective glass must be replaced.
• Close the luminaire.
