Product Usage Instructions

Before Installation

  1. Remove all contents from the box and verify all parts are present according to the parts list.
  2. Read the instructions carefully before proceeding with the installation.
  3. Due to the weight of the bumper, it is recommended to have assistance during installation to avoid injury or damage to the vehicle.

The product includes the following parts:

  • * Bull Nose Hoop
    • Driver/left LED L Bracket
    • Winch Tray Assembly

Installation Steps

  1. 1.  **Step 1:** Start installation from under the front of the vehicle and remove the splash guard.
  2. Step 2: Determine if the vehicle has a plastic
    bumper cover or a steel option bumper panel and remove the necessary covers accordingly.

  3. Step 3: Unplug the wiring harness leading to the front bumper.

  4. Step 4: Remove the factory hex bolts attaching the bumper assembly to the end of the frame.

BEFORE INSTALLATION

  • REMOVE CONTENTS FROM THE BOX.
  • VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT DEPENDING ON THE PARTS LIST.
  • READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. THE BUMPER IS HEAVY, ASSISTANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO AVOID POSSIBLE INJURY OR DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.

Installation Instructions

STEP 1

  • Start installation from under the front of the vehicle and remove the splash guard, (Fig 1).

STEP 2

Determine if the vehicle is equipped with plastic bumper cover or steel option bumper panel

  1. Models with plastic bumper cover:
    Remove the plastic covers from the front of the bumper, (Figs 1 & 2).

  2. Models with optional steel bumper:
    Remove the covers surrounding the tow hooks, (Fig 3).

STEP 3

  • Unplug the wiring harness leading to the front bumper.

NOTE: Harness plug is located behind the driver/left side of the bumper below the headlight, (Fig 3).

STEP 4

  • From the front, remove the factory hex bolts attaching the bumper assembly to the end of the frame, (Figs 2—4). NOTE: Use assistance to hold the bumper in place while removing the mounting bolts.

STEP 5

  • On models with plastic bumper only, remove the seals around the lower tow hooks.

STEP 6

Temporarily unplug and remove the shutter assembly, (Fig 4—6)
Models with ACC (adaptive cruise control) sensor:

  • Remove the sensor from the front of the shutter assembly, (Fig 6).
  • Release the wiring harness from the clips on the back of the shutter assembly, (Fig 7).
  • Reroute the ACC plug end of the harness down through the hole in the top of the shutter assembly and out through the front, (Fig 8 & 12).

STEP 7

  • Remove the plastic nuts attaching the factory triple nut plate to the back of the driver/left bumper mounting flange on the end of the frame, (Fig 9). Remove the triple nut plate.

STEP 8

  • USelect the driver/left inner and outer Support Brackets, (Fig 10). Attach the Support Brackets to the sides of the frame with the included (1) 10mm x 110mm Hex Bolt, (2) 10mm x 30mm Large Flat Washers, (1) 10mm Lock Washer and (1) 10mm Hex Nut, (Figs 10 & 11). Push Support Brackets up against the back of the flange on the frame, (Fig 11).

STEP 9

  • Repeat Steps 7 & 8 to attach the passenger/right Inner and Outer Support Brackets.

STEP 10

  • Reattach the shutter assembly to the vehicle, (Fig 12). Plug the shutter harness back into the main harness, (Fig 5).

STEP 11

  • Carefully unwrap the Bumper and Winch Tray.

STEP 12.1
Determine if the vehicle is equipped with an ACC sensor (Adaptive Cruise Control), and parking sensors.

Models with ACC sensor

  • Gently pull the end of the harness out from the shutter assembly, (Fig 12). Do not pull out the harness, only extend the plug end of the harness.
  • Select the rectangular Sensor Mounting Bracket, (Fig 13). Attach the ACC sensor to the front of the Bracket with the included (3) 6mm x 20mm Button Head Bolts, (6) 6mm Flat Washers, (3) 6mm Lock Washers and (3) 6mm Hex Nuts, (Figs 14 & 15).
  • Hold the ACC sensor and Bracket up to the back of the Bumper Mount. Attach the Plastic Cover to the front and ACC sensor and Bracket to the back with the included (4) 6mm x 20mm Button Head Bolts, (4) 6mm Flat Washers, (4) 6mm Lock Washers and (4) 6mm Hex Nuts, (Figs 14 & 15).

Models without ACC sensor

  • Attach the Plastic Cover only to the front of the Bumper with the included (4) 6mm x 20mm Button Head Bolts, (4) 6mm Flat Washers, (4) 6mm Lock Washers and (4) 6mm Hex Nuts, (Fig 15). NOTE: ACC Bracket is not required.

STEP 12.2

Models without parking sensors:

  • From the front of the bumper, push the (4) Plastic Plugs into the Sensor Mounts, (Fig 16).

Models with parking sensors.

  • Remove sensors and wiring harnesses from the factory bumper. Note the location of each sensor for proper reinstallation.
  • Remove the silicone seal from the end of the sensor. Slide the included larger Foam Seal over front of the sensor, (Fig 17).
  • Insert the sensor with Seal into the outer sensor mount on the back of the Bumper.
  • Place the Foam Spacer over the end of the sensor. Push the Sensor Cap onto the sensor mount and lock into mounting holes, (Fig 18).
  • Repeat the previous Steps to install the remaining sensor.
  • Attach the factory wiring harness to the Bumper and plug it into the sensors. Secure harness to back of Bumper with included Wire Ties.

STEP 13

  • Select the Winch Tray. Slide the Tray down to the top of the Bumper.

STEP 14
Select (1) Double Bolt Plate. From the front, insert the Bolt Plate up into the bottom of the leg on the Winch Tray and through the front of the Bumper, (Fig 19). From the back of the Bumper, thread (2) 12mm Plastic Retainers onto the threaded ends of the Bolt Plate, (Figs 20 & 24). Repeat this Step to insert the remaining Double Bolt Plate through the passenger/right side of the Winch Tray and Bumper.

STEP 15
Attach the driver/left side of the Winch Tray to the inside of the Bumper with the included (2) 12mm x 35mm Hex Bolts, (2) 12mm Lock Washers and (2) 12mm Flat Washers, (Fig 21). Leave hardware loose. Repeat this Step to attach the passenger/right side of the Tray to the Bumper.

STEP 16

Insert (1) 12mm Single Bolt Plate through the outer mounting hole in the driver/left mounting plate on the back of the Bumper, (Fig 22). Thread (1) 12mm Plastic Retainer onto the Bolt Plate to help hold it in place, (Figs 23 & 24). Repeat this Step to attach (1) 12mm Single Bolt Plate to the outer mounting hole on the passenger/right side of the Bumper. NOTE: Plastic Retainers are supplied to help with Bumper installation, use is not mandatory for installation.

STEP 17
Attach the Top Hoop to the top of the Bumper with the included (6) 8mm x 20mm Hex Bolts, (6) 8mm Lock Washers and (6) 8mm Flat Washers, (Fig 25). NOTE: Installation is optional.

STEP 18
With assistance, hold the Bumper assembly up to the end of the frame and Support Brackets. Guide the Bolt Plates through the frame and Support Brackets. Attach the driver/left side of the Bumper to the frame and Brackets with the included (3) 12mm Flat Washers, (3) 12mm Lock Washers and (3) 12mm Hex Nuts, (Figs 26—28). Repeat this Step to attach the passenger/right side of the Bumper.

STEP 19
Centre the Bumper to the vehicle and fully tighten all hardware. Models with ACC sensor, plug wiring harness into a sensor.

STEP 20
Attach the winch to the top of the Winch Tray. Attach the cable guide Bracket (fairlead), to the top of the Winch Tray with the included (2) 10mm x 30mm Button Head Bolts, (4) 10mm x 20mm Small Flat Washers and (2) 10mm Nylon Lock Nuts, (Fig 29). Next, attach the cable guide to the Bracket, (winch and cable guide not included).

NOTE: Depending on the size of a winch, it may be necessary to temporarily remove the Top Hoop from the Bumper. Reinstall the Top Hoop after installing the winch. Winch and cable guide not included.

STEP 21
Determine if bar-style LED light will be installed on Hoop, (light not included).

NOTE: Check for clearance between the light and winch.
LED Light Installation with Hoop, (LED Light Bar not included):

  • Select the driver/left “L” Bracket. Attach the Bracket to the slot on top or bottom of the Hoop with the included (1) 8mm x 25mm Hex Bolt, (2) 8mm Flat Washers, (1) 8mm Lock Washer and (1) 8mm Hex Nut, (Fig 30). Repeat this Step to install the passenger/right “L” Bracket.
  • Attach the LED Light Bar to the Brackets with the included (2) 8mm x 16mm Hex Bolts, (2) 8mm Lock Washers and (2) 8mm Flat Washers, (Fig 30). Adjust light and fully tighten hardware.

STEP 22
Determine if Mesh Fill Panels or cube style accessory lights will be installed in the Bumper. NOTE: Lights not included.
Models Fill Panels installation

  • Select (1) Mesh Fill Panel, (Fig 32).
  • Attach the Mesh Fill Panel to the threaded inserts in the front of the Bumper with the included (3) 6mm Button Head Combo Bolts, (Fig 32).

Light installation (do not install lights with Mesh Fill Panels):

  • Remove outer Mesh Fill Panels from the Bumper, (Fig 31).
  • Attach lights to tabs at the bottom or top of square openings in the Bumper.
  • Repeat the previous Steps to install the remaining Mesh Fill Panel

STEP 23
Reinstall the lower splash guard.

STEP 24

Models with front license plates.

  • Attach the License Plate Bracket to the front of the Bumper with (2) 6mm x 20mm Button Head Combo Bolts, (Fig 33). Snap the included (2) Plastic Plugs into the square holes in the Bracket for the license plate.

STEP 25

  • Do periodic inspections of the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight.

Attention

  • To protect your investment, do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could damage the finish.
  • Mild soap may be used also to clean the Bumper.
