Introduction
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to use an authoring tool
to produce discrete interactive sequences for websites. It involves planning
the use of the authoring tool, preparing authoring software for authoring and
producing interactive sequences according to project requirements.
The unit applies to those working collaboratively with technical assistance
and under direction, who develop small components such as web pages or a
sequence of screens, which are integrated into a larger project.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at
the time of publication.

- applicable file formats for web delivery
- requirements for the optimisation of media assets when authoring interactive sequences
- importance of applying accessibility standards in the web environment
- basic visual design principles as they apply to website page layout
- safe work practices in relation to working on computers for periods of time
- procedures for checking copyright clearance.
Benchmark
You must get all questions 100% correct and all documentation requested in
this assessment is submitted to gain a satisfactory in this task.

Assessment Task 2: Develop Two interactive sequences – Practical Projects
Student Instructions:
You are to develop two interactive sequences using an authoring software
program.
Ask your Assessor to clarify items you are unsure about prior to commencing.
Complete all tasks as stated and submit all work for assessment by the due
date.
You will be required to have a good understanding of the following areas:

Plan use of authoring tool

Prepare to author sequence

Produce interactive sequences
a. assemble text content, interactive media components and media assets
b. use applicable software to meet design and project specifications within deadlines
c. apply visual design principles, templates, style sheets and mark-up language to interactive sequences
d. adopt safe ergonomic practices when using screens and keyboards
e. check interactive sequence functionality on at least two operating systems, browsers and devices
f. produce interactive media sequences according to at least two different project requirements.
g. save and store files according to organisational policies and procedures. -

Benchmark
You must complete all activities in full and test the functionality of both
sequences.
All criteria listed in the Assessor’s Checklist must be met to the industry
standards specified in this unit.
