Product Information

The W-TEC Spiriter Alcohol Tester (23792-1) is a portable device designed to measure blood alcohol concentration (BAC) using breath samples. It provides quick and accurate readings, with a range from 0.02 BAC (0.2 g / l) to 0.05% BAC (0.5 g / l) for caution and up to 0.5% BAC (0.5 g / l) for danger. The device is powered by 2 AAA alkaline batteries and has an operating time of 5 seconds and a warm-up time of 10 seconds.

Product Usage

1. Remove the battery cover and insert 2x AAA alkaline batteries.
2. Close the battery cover and press the power button.
3. The device will warm up and display a countdown from 10 to 0. If the tester has not been used for a long time, it may need to be switched on and off several times to clean the sensor.
4. When the device is ready, “Blow” and a countdown from 10 to 00 are displayed.
5. Take a deep breath and breathe continuously into the device for 3-5 seconds.
6. The result will be displayed, with “Caution” appearing on the display for readings from 0.02 BAC (0.2 g / l) to 0.05% BAC (0.5 g / l), and “Danger” being displayed for higher readings.
7. After displaying the result, the device will automatically shut off after 10 seconds.

If the warm-up of the device fails, it will automatically shut off and need to be restarted. If the device is not used within 10 seconds of being ready for use, the display will show 0 for 10 seconds.

Setting the Time

1. Press and hold the Settings button until the minutes start flashing on the display.
2. Press the Set button to select the minutes, and press the Mode button to move to the hours.
3. Using the Settings button, adjust the hours and minutes as necessary.
4. Press Set to confirm the changes, and press Adj to start the countdown, or press Adj repeatedly to turn off the countdown.
5. If the countdown reaches 00:00, a beep will sound and the countdown will start again.

BATTERY PLACEMENT

Remove the battery cover.

Insert 2x AAA alkaline batteries.

Close the battery cover.

USE

• Press the power button. The display lights up and an audible signal sounds.
• Warm-up” and a countdown from 10 to 0 are displayed. If the tester has not been operated for a long time, the sensor may be dirty, switch off the device several times if necessary.
• When the device is ready, “Blow” and a countdown from 10 to 00 are displayed.
• Take a deep breath and breathe continuously into the device for 3-5 seconds.
• The result is displayed: from 0.02 BAC (0.2 g / l) to 0.05% BAC (0.5 g / l) “Caution” appears on the display.
• From 0.05% BAC (0.5 g / l) “Danger” is displayed.
• After measuring the value and displaying the result, the tester automatically shuts off after 10 seconds.
• If the “warm up” of the device cannot be load, the tester switches off automatically and must be started again. If the device is not used within 10 seconds of being ready for use, the display will show 0 for 10 seconds.

SET TIME

• While the time is displayed, press the “Adj” button to select 12 or 24 hour format.
• Hold down “Set” for 2 seconds to enter the time setting. The time on the LCD display will flash. Press “Adj” to enter the time adjustment.
• Press “Set” to enter the minute setting, the minutes will start flashing. Press “Adj” to adjust the value.
• Press “Set” to confirm the changes.

SET ALARM

• While displaying the time, press “MODE” to enter the alarm.
• Press “Adj” to turn the alarm on or off.
• Hold down the “Set” button for 2 seconds to enter the setting. The hour value will flash, press “Adj” to adjust the value.
• Press “Set” to enter the minute setting and “Adj” to adjust the value.
• After setting the minutes, press “Set” to confirm the changes.

TEMPERATURE

• Press “Mode” twice to enter the temperature format setting.
• Press the “Adj” button to select ° C or ° F.

COUNTDOWN

• While displaying the time, press “Mode” 3 times.
• Hold down “Set” for 2 seconds, the hour value will flash, use “Adj” to adjust the value.
• Press “Set” to enter the minute setting, press “Adj” to adjust the value.
• After setting the minutes, press “Set” to confirm the changes.
• Press “Adj” to start the countdown, press “Adj” repeatedly to turn off the countdown.
• If the value reaches 00:00, a beep sounds and the countdown starts again.
