LED DIAGNOSTIC
WHEN THE REMOTE’S BLUE LED FLASHES 6 TIMES AND THE RED LED IS ON FOR ONE SECOND
The vehicle is out of range.

REMOTE STARTING
When leaving the vehicle it is recommended that the driver pre-set the climate controls in preparation for a later remote start. To remote start the vehicle :

**STEP 1

1 SEC:3 SEC
To remote-start the vehicle press the ! HOLD button 1 second release and press the ! HOLD button again for 3 seconds. The remote Green Led flash and a ascending melodie will sound to confirm

Approximately 5 seconds later the engine will crank and run for the selected runtime (15 minutes by default).

If the vehicle fails to start on the first attempt, the Remote-Starter will wait 3 seconds before it will attempt to start the vehicle again. The Remote- Starter will attempt to start the vehicle 2 times (default) before giving up. (See Failed Remote Start, on the complete user guide). RUNTIME : On gas engines the Remote-Starter can run the vehicle for either 15 (default), 3 or 7 minutes. On diesel engines either 30 (default), 6, or 15 minutes

REMOTE STARTING FROM FACTORY KEY FOB
IF OPTION AVAILABLE. To remote start the vehicle with the factory key fob :

PRESS LOCK 3 TIMES (By default) or PRESS LOCK UNLOCK LOCK.
Remote-start the vehicle.

WHEN SERVICING THE VEHICULE
Valet Mode
disables the remote starter and alarm. Whenever the vehicle is being serviced, repaired or the vehicle is parked indoors; it is mandatory that Valet Mode be enabled to prevent an accidental remote start

FROM THE ANTENNA

**STEP 1

Turn the vehicle ig- nition to (ON/RUN) position. The vehi- cle does not need to be started
STEP 2

** Within 10 seconds press and release the button on the antenna 3 times.

**FROM THE REMOTE

**

Press and release the ! HOLD button, and than press simultaneously LOCK and UNLOCK button

VALET MODE ENABLED: The LED is ON
VALET MODE DISABLED: The LED is OFF

KEY TAKEOVER AFTER REMOTE STARTING

STEP 1 All doors must be closed
STEP 2 PRESS RELEASE PRESS 1 SEC. 3 SEC To remote-start the vehicle press

the ! HOLD button 1 second release and press the ! HOLD button again for approximately 3 seconds.
STEP 3| | Unlock the doors with either:

  • The OEM remote
  • The remote-starter remote
  • Or the proximity remote

If the vehicle is not unlocked with one of these conditions the remote-starter will shut down as soon as any door is opened.

STEP 4| | Enter the vehicle with the Intelligent Key
STEP 5| | The vehicle can now be put in to gear and driven.

LOW BATTERIES WARNING

If after the confirmation sound from lock, unlock or the start command two or more descending tones are heard, you will no longer be able to start the vehicle with this remote control.
To replace the batteries* (2x CR2016), life the cover with the logo.
Replacement batteries sold separately.

FUNCTIONNALITY

AFTER APPROXIMATIVELY 2 MINUTES OF INACTIVITY
(for example, no door is open) the vehicle will no longer be allowed to start with the RM9MA remote.

To allow the vehicle to start, press the UNLOCK button on the remote control.

*The parking light diagnostics can not be used on some vehicles equipped with automatic lights.

  • ensure that the gearshift lever is in the NEUTRAL position and the parking brake is engaged on manual transmission in order to avoid accidents upon remote starting.
  • when leaving the vehicle, ensure that the gearshift lever is in the “PARK” position for an automatic transmission in order to avoid accidents upon remote starting. Make sure that the vehicle cannot start in “Drive” position.
