Battery Installation

Warning – Replace batteries only in non hazardous areas.

Charging:

  • Remove protective rubber plug and insert charging cable into the charging socket on the flashlight ‘3’
  • Connect the mains plug to a 100-240V AC.
  • A red light will illuminate while charging. A green light will illuminate once fully recharged.
  • When fully charged, disconnect the AC power and charging cable from the flashlight.
  • Replace rubber plug into socket to avoid dust entering.

Operation:

  • Press front ‘2’ spotlight switch once for high output, press again for low output, press a third for power off. Hold switch down for more than 3 seconds for flashing output.
  • Press ‘1’ rear floodlight switch once to turn on and again to turn off.
  • When power is off, hold switch for three seconds, the times of flashing indicates the capacity of battery. Flashing five times means full.

Replacing battery: ONLY REPLACE BATTERY IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT.

  • Unscrew the tail cover and remove battery pack.
  • Separate the two parts of the green cover to release battery.
  • Take out battery and replace new battery.
  • Insure PCB is in retaining slot correctly.
  • Replace green outer case over battery.
  • Align main key way inside the torch case and insert battery back into torch.
  • Screw tail cover back on torch.

General Warning:

  • Do not expose the battery to excessive heat, to do so may cause an explosion.
  • Do not use metal objects to short circuit the positive and negative end of the battery.
  • Do not dispose of the battery in the domestic waste, please use the correct method of disposal.
  • Do not solder directly on to the battery.
  • Do not let the battery become wet or immerse the battery in water.
  • Keep the battery away from children.
  • Do not shine the flashlight directly into people’s eyes, as it may damage their eyesight.
  • Carry out a full discharge and recharge cycle per half a year if it is stored for a long time.
  • Do not try to repair the unit. In case of any problems or questions please contact NightSearcher Limited or an authorised distributor.

Safety instruction

  • The ambient temperature is -20°C to +55°C.
  • The flashlight shall be charged in a non-hazardous area. The Ex ic charger or the charger specified in the user manual and provided by the manufacturer shall be used.
  • Warning – DO NOT OPEN WHEN AN EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERE IS PRESENT.

  • 3.5. EN 62321 Electrotechnical products – Determination of levels of six regulated substances (lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, polybrominated diphenyl ethers)
  • 3.6. EN 60529 Degrees of protection provided by enclosure (IP code).

Safe disposal of waste electrical products, batteries and bulbs
If at any time, you need to dispose of this product or parts of this product: please note that waste electrical products, bulbs and batteries should not be disposed of with ordinary household waste.
Recycle where facilities exist. Check with your local authority for recycling advice.
Alternatively, Night Searcher is happy to take receipt of this product at end- of-life and will recycle it on your behalf.

All Night Searcher products have a 3-year standard warranty on all manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.

Extended Warranty

Customers have the option to extend the warranty of the product to 5 years for manufacturing defects. Registration of the product must be made within one month of purchase by sending us an email sales@nightsearcher.co.uk.
