USER MANUAL

Thank you for choosing our kettle. Before using the appliance, and to ensure the best use, carefully read these instructions.
The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of death, injury and electrical shock when correctly adhered to. Keep the manual in a safe place for future reference, along with the completed warranty card, purchase receipt and  package. If applicable, pass these instructions on to the next owner of the appliance.
Always follow basic safety precautions and accident-prevention measures when using an electrical appliance.
We assume no liability for customer failing to comply with these requirements.

SECURITY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the following instruction carefully before using the appliance for the first time.

  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • The appliance may only be connected to a power supply whose voltage and frequency comply with the specifications on the rating plate!
  • Never use or pick up the appliance if the cord is damaged or the housing is damaged.
  • The appliance must only be connected to an earthed socket.
  • If necessary an extension cord suitable for 10A can be used.
  • If the appliance or the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an electrician or similarly qualified person for safety.
  • Always place the appliance on a flat, level surface.
  • The appliance must be switched off and unplugged from the mains before cleaning and maintenance.
  • The appliance and accessories become hot during operation. Use only designated handles and knobs. Allow to cool down before cleaning or storage.
  • The electrical cord must not come into contact with any hot parts of the appliance.
  • Do not submerge the appliance in water or any other liquids. Attention: If the kettle is overfilled there is a risk that the boiling water may spray out, which could scald or burn! Never fill the kettle above the maximum marking. • Never operate appliance with open lid.
  • Do not use or place the appliance on a hot surface or near source of heat.
  • Only use the kettle for heating water!
  • The kettle can only be used with the stand provided.
  • Appliance is for indoor use only.
  • This appliance is intended for domestic use only. The manufacturer cannot accept any liability for possible damage caused by improper or incorrect use.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instructions on how to use the appliance safely and understand the risks involved.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are older than eight years old and supervised.
  • Keep the appliance and the cord out of reach of children younger than eight years old.

GETTING STARTED

  1. Before first use, rinse the inside and wipe the outside of the kettle with a damp cloth.
  2. Press the button to open the lid, and fill the kettle with water. It is also possible to fill the kettle through the spout, without opening the lid. Make sure the water level is visible in the water level indicator, but not exceeding the MAX.  mark.
  3. Place the base unit on a firm and flat surface. Plug the mains plug into a wall socket. Excess cord can be wound into the bottom of the base unit.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Fill to at least 0.3L to ensure that the temperature shown on the display is reliable.
RECOMMENDED TEMPERATURE

  • 50 °C for baby mixtures.
  • 70 °C for delicate teas (green/white).
  • 80 °C for instant coffee.
  • 100 °C for perfect black tea.

BUTTON INSTRUCTIONS
ON/OFF button.
Keep warm button.
Temperature setting button.
Close the lid and make sure that it clicks shut correctly. Otherwise, the auto switch off function will not work reliably.
Place the kettle on the base correctly. The buzzer will buzz and the will be set to white.
Press the The screen will indicate all the temperature range in white. The kettle switches off automatically when not in use.
To start: Press to start. The buzzer will buzz and the readout will flash 100 °C. When the water is boiling at 100 °C the buzzer will buzz twice and the kettle will switch off.

CLEANING

  1. Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance. Never rinse or immerse the kettle or base unit in water. Just wipe with a damp cloth, using no abrasive detergents. Occasionally rinse out the kettle with clean water.
  2. Cleaning the heating element – superficial spots of rust may appear on the base unit. Remove with a stainless steel cleaning agent.
  3. We recommend removing limescale regularly, depending on water hardness. Fill the kettle with water and a limescale remover, according to the product instructions. Do not boil the solution as it may foam over. Afterwards, rinse  kettle thoroughly with fresh water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION

The appliance switches off before
boiling.| Too much limescale on the heating
element of the kettle.| Remove the limescale.
The appliance doesn’t switch off.| | Close lid until it locks. Insert
the mesh filter correctly.
The appliance cannot be switched on.| After operating with little or no
water, the appliance has not cooled
down sufficiently.| Allow to cool a short time
and try again.

DISPOSAL

PACKAGING MATERIALS
The packaging materials are environmentally friendly and can be recycled. The plastic components are identified by markings, e.g.>PE<, >PS<, etc.
Please dispose of the packaging materials in the appropriate container at your local waste disposal facility.

In compliance with Directives: 2012/19/EU and 2015/863/EU on the restriction of the use of dangerous substances in electric and electronic equipment as well as their waste disposal. The symbol with the crossed dustbin shown on the package indicates that the product at the end of its service life shall be collected as separate waste. Therefore, any products that have reached the end of their useful life must be given to waste disposal centres specialising in separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment, or given back to the retailer at the time of purchasing new similar equipment, on a one for one basis. The adequate separate collection for the subsequent start-up of the equipment sent to be recycled, treated and disposed of in an environmentally compatible way contributes to preventing possible negative effects on the environment and health and optimises the recycling and reuse of components making up the apparatus. Abusive disposal of the product by the user involves application of the administrative sanctions according to the laws.
