BEFORE FIRST USE
Before you start using the kettle, make sure your supply voltage is the same as that indicated below the kettle. Place the power base on a stable, level surface. Uncoil the power cord from under the base.
The kettle should be filled with water to the maximum mark and boiled 2 or 3 times. The boiled water should be discarded and the inside of the kettle rinsed with cold water (if the water is very hard, a deposit of dust may form or the water tends to appear cloudy. This is a normal calcium buildup and is in no way harmful).
HOW TO BOIL WATER
CAUTION: If you have just boiled water, the appliance will be full of steam. Open the lid with caution, as it could cause burns due to the steam contained inside.
- Remove the kettle from the electric base.
- Lift the lid carefully to allow any excess steam to escape.
- Fill the kettle with at least 2 cups of water. Do not fill above the “max” line.
- If overfilled, boiling water may overflow from the kettle and may cause burns.
- Replace the lid making sure to achieve a proper seal.
SWITCHED ON
- Plug the power base into a wall outlet.
- Place the kettle on a flat, stable surface.
- Place the kettle on the electric base. Be careful not to spill water.
- Turn on the switch. The indicator light will come on and the kettle will begin to heat up.

- Once the water has boiled, the kettle and indicator light will turn off. Remove the kettle from the base and carefully pour out the water.
CAUTION: Stay away as steam will come out of the spout when boiling.

- Once the water has boiled, the device will turn off by itself.
- To switch it off manually, lift the switch or remove the kettle from the base.

- Do not use with insufficient water.

DECALCIFY
- Descale regularly, even in soft water areas
- Use a descaler suitable for plastic products (most kettles have some plastic parts).
- Follow the instructions provided with the descaler.
- If you don’t have a descaler, you can also use white vinegar. Fill the kettle with half a liter of vinegar and let stand 1 hour without heating.
