LOCATION AND INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
MECHANICAL PROBLEMS
- In accordance with safety regulations, the lowest point of the fan blades must be at least 2.3 meters from the ground.
- Make sure that the chosen location does not allow the rotating blades to come into contact with any objects.
- Check that the ceiling joists are secure and large and strong enough to support the weight of the fan.
- To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury, make sure the fan mounting bracket is attached directly to the building structure. Do not mount to a distribution box.
- The mounting bracket must be securely bolted to a supporting structure, such as a concrete ceiling, steel structure, or wood frame. If a wooden frame is added, it must be nailed or screwed securely between two joists.
- To reduce the risk of personal injury and property damage, do not bend or damage the vertical rod or fan blades when handling or installing the fan. If you detect any damage to the product, contact our after-sales service before installing the fan.
- Make sure the fan is securely attached to the ceiling. All set screws should be checked and retightened as necessary before the fan is started.
- To reduce the risk of injury, do not touch the blades when the fan is running.
ELECTRIC PROBLEMS
-
Turn off the power before doing any work on the ceiling fan and turn off the power breaker.
To avoid possible electrical shock, make sure power is off at the fuse box or circuit breaker panel before wiring. -
The fan, mounting bracket, and lighting equipment must be grounded. Check that all splices are well insulated.
-
Check and confirm that all connections are correct and secure. Once all electrical connections have been made, store all cables well.
-
Do not attempt to control this fan from a wall switch or remote control that is not approved by the manufacturer for use with the fan. DO NOT use a solid state controller. Use of a non-approved wall switch or remote control will void the warranty.
-
Do not connect the ceiling fan to a dimmer switch.
INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Mark the correct position of the holes and fix the ceiling bracket using the
screws with metal anchors or screws and washers appropriate to the type of
ceiling chosen. Check the correct installation of the bracket before hanging
the fan. This plate must support the entire weight of the fan.
INSTALLATION PREPARATION
- To avoid personal injury and injury, make sure that the place where you are going to hang the fan allows the blades to be 2.3 m or more from the ground and 76 cm from the nearest wall or obstacle.
- Make sure the junction box is adequately fastened to the building structure and can sup- port the full weight of the fan.
INSTALLING THE MOUNTING BRACKET
Before installing the mounting bracket you should check the ceiling where the
fan is to be installed and check if it is suitable for it.
Concrete ceiling Drill 2 holes with an 8mm drill bit, accord- ing to the length of the expansion bolts. Next, fix the mounting bracket to the ceiling with the screws.
Wood roof Attach the mounting bracket to the wood ceiling with 4 minimum 7mm thick screws.
Do not fix the mounting bracket directly on ceilings less than 10mm to avoid the risk of the screw loosening and coming out.
CHOICE OF FAN HEIGHT
- Choose the suspension bar that best suits your situation.
- Remove the bolt from the bar by removing the pin and thread the canopy (roof trim) and motor canopy through the hanger bar. Next, route the fan motor wires through the inside of the hanger bar. Fit the hanger bar to the engine and insert the bolt and cotter pin.
INSTALLATION OF THE LIGHT PLATE
- Loosen the four screws on the bottom of the fan body and remove one side of the computer for later use.
- Attach the light kit to the fan body by rotating the light kit until it seats on the three loosened screws on the fan body, then tighten the screws, also screw in the extractor screw and tighten.
SUSPENSION SYSTEM INSTALLATION
- Take out the pin from the bottom of the fan body by removing the cliq R.
- Thread the cable through the bar, canopy, and trim, then seat the bar into the fan body and rotate until the holes in the bar align with the holes in the fan body.
- Finally insert the pin through the holes and fix it with the cliq R on the other side.
- Place the down tube with hanger ball on the mounting bracket, rotate the motor assembly until the mounting bracket check tab has dropped into the hanger ball registration slot and is seated firmly.
- Lift the canopy up to the ceiling to cover the mounting bracket (make sure the canopy sits on the two screws on the bracket), rotate the canopy to make sure the head of the screw is at the end of the holes, and finally tighten the screws. screws until secure.
DECORATIVE SCREEN FIXING
Make sure the slot on the decorative light shade is in the same line as the slot on the fan body, then rotate the shade slightly clockwise until it is tight and secure.
CHECK THE INSTALLATION
- Check the correct operation of the ceiling fan, checking that there is no strange movement or misalignment in any part of the fan.
- In the event that some type of buzzing/vibration can be seen, you can proceed to adjust the blades with the balancing kit.
- In this kit you have self-adhesive weights and clips in the form of “u”.
BLADE BALANCING KIT
Your ceiling fan may have blade balance problems when operating due to
irregularities in the blades or brackets. In addition, incorrect mounting of
the system or twisted bearings could cause additional problems.
To solve these problems you must perform a dynamic balance using the provided
balance kit.
Follow the procedure below:
- Turn on the fan and set the speed at which the most sway is created (usually occurs at the highest speed).
- Turn off the fan. Select a blade and place the balance clip, halfway between the bracket and the tip, on the back edge of the blade.
- Turn on the fan. Wait to see if the rocking has improved or worsened. Turn off the fan again and place the clip on another blade to recheck. Repeat this process with all the blades and see which one has improved the most.
- Place the clip on the blade that has improved the most. Move it in or out of the blade and start the fan to find the best position where the clip offers the most swing improvement.
- Then remove the clip and install a balance weight on top of the blade on the center line near the point where the clip was placed. Use a knife or blade if necessary to separate the weights.
Watch out: Stand at a safe distance from the blades. If the clip has not been properly secured, for any reason, you could be injured.
Disposal
In compliance with Directives: 2012/19/EU and 2015/863/EU on the restriction of the use of dangerous substances in elec- tric and electronic equipment as well as their waste disposal. The symbol with the crossed dustbin shown on the package indicates that the product at the end of its service life shall be collected as separate waste. Therefore, any products that have reached the end of their useful life must be given to waste disposal centres specialising in separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment, or given back to the retailer at the time of purchasing new similar equipment, on a one for one basis. The adequate separate collection for the subsequent start up of the equipment sent to be recycled, treated and disposed of in an environmentally compatible way contributes to preventing possible negative effects on the environment and health and optimises the recycling and reuse of components making up the apparatus. Abusive disposal of the product by the user involves application of the administrative sanctions according to the laws.
