Intended use
This garage door is designed and intended for private use only. Continuous
operation is not permitted.
General safety instructions
- Only specialists in accordance with EN 12635 may fit, service, repair and disassemble the product. Adhere to the national regulations.
- In the event of a door failure, sluggish operation or other malfunctions, immediately commission a specialist for the inspection or repair work.
- Check that the door is in perfect mechanical working order before initial start-up. The door must be easy to operate manually (EN 12604).
- EN 13241 specifies the application of the sectional door BR 40.
- Pay attention to possible dangers in accordance with EN 12604 and EN 12453 when fitting the door.
- Safety in accordance with DIN / TS 18194 based on DIN EN 1627:2011-09

Requirements on the building structure

- A timber post with a cross-section ≥120 mm × 120 mm is suitable for connection with resistance classes RC, e.g. in the area of the door opening.
- During inspection, consider other wall fitting methods or fitting types, e.g. fitting in double-shell brickwork. For inspection, install the specimen in original wall sections or fitting situations.
- The fitting certificate confirms expert fitting in accordance with the fitting instructions of the manufacturer.

WARNING
The danger of injury due to structural modifications
Changing or removing functional parts may impair the function of important
safety components and lead to uncontrolled door travel, resulting in the door
trapping persons or objects.
- Do not attach any additional components.
- Door with operator: Observe the instructions of the operator manufacturer.
The door opening and building floor must be completed before the door is fitted.
Observe the following during the fitting:
- Make sure that the connection to the building structure is sound.
- Check that the supplied fixing materials are suitable for the situation on-site.
- Always obtain the permission of the structural engineer before fastening the door system to support structural elements.
- To prevent corrosion, make sure that there is sufficient water run-off to the outside in the area of the bottom seal and the frame parts (see fitting data).
- To prevent corrosion, ensure sufficient drying or ventilation of the building.
- Protect the door during painting and plastering work. Splashes of mortar, cement, plaster, paint, etc. may damage the surface.
- Protect the door from caustic, aggressive substances, e.g. nitrous reactions from stones or mortar, acids, alkali solutions, de-icing salt, aggressive paints or sealants.
Please carefully follow the work steps listed in the illustrated section.
Dismantling
Dismantle the door in accordance with these fitting instructions in the
logically correct reverse order.
