  • This product will not increase the load capacity of your vehicle.
  • Do not exceed the manufacturer’s recommended weight limit.
  • The installation process may require drilling, professional installation is recommended to ensure personal safety.
  • All modifications must be installed by qualified personnel and in compliance with your local modification regulations.

ASSEMBLING THE AIR SPRING

NOTE:
The U-bolt is often used on non-fifth-wheel hitch or non-gooseneck models.

REMOVING THE JOUNCE BUMPER AND SOME BRACKETS

STEP 1. Raise the vehicle and support it using safety stands so that the axle can be safely dropped away from the frame, and the air spring assemblies can be put into position between the axle and frame.
STEP2. Remove the jounce bumper from the frame.

STEP3. Remove the bolts that securing the emergency brake line to the the frame on the driver’s side.

STEP 4. Loosen the original bolt that holding the emergency brake line bracket under the leaf spring on both sides.

PLACING THE ASSEMBLY ON THE AXLE

STEP 1. Place the assembly on the axle.

INSTALLING THE UPPER BRACKET

STEP 1. Install the U-bolts ( 9 of the Air spring bag kit list)with Upper mounting bracket ( 1 of the Air spring bag kit list), then tighten the bolts with washers and nuts. Please pay attention not to insert the wire harness between the U-bolts and the frame.

NOTE:
If your car has a fifth-wheel hitch or a gooseneck, you may need to drill two 3/8″ holes on the frame that line up with the center hole of the Upper mounting bracket.

STEP2. Install the emergency brake line to the upper mounting bracket with the Wire clamp ( 5 of the Air spring bag kit list).

INSTALLING THE LOWER BRACKET

STEP 1. Adjust the assembly so that the air spring is perpendicular to the bottom and top mounting brackets without twisting.

STEP2. Install the Fastening block ( 3 of the Air spring bag kit list) to the axle and fit together with Lower mounting bracket ( 2 of the Air spring bag kit list).

STEP3. Attach the brake line bracket to the Lower mounting bracket with Hex bolt ( 11 of the Air spring bag kit list).

INSTALLING THE HEAT SHIELD (PASSENGER’S SIDE ONLY)

STEP 1. Install the heat shield where it is closest to the passenger’s (right) side air spring.

NOTE:
Must slide the air line protective sleeve over the air line near the exhaust port.

INSTALLING THE AIR LINES

STEP 1. Cut the air line appropriately and push the hose into the fitting, then pull back and make sure it’s locked in place.

STEP2. Install the inflatable valve in a selected location, usually on the license plate at the rear of the vehicle.

CHECK AIR TIGHTNESS
  • Put some air into the air spring bag, then spray a soapy solution on all connections and valves while checking for exiting air bubbles.
INSTALLATION COMPLETED
