Maxxima MEW-S1504W-4 4 Way On Off Light Switch
WARNINGS
- Risk of electric shock or fire – Disconnect power at the source before installation.
- If you are unsure about the installation or the maintenance of the fixture, please consult an electrician.
- Do not make or alter any holes in the wiring enclosure or modify any electrical componentry.
- To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to the edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.
CAUTIONS
- Use this device only with Copper or Copper-clad wire.
- The switch must be wired in accordance with the National Electric Code (N.E.C) standards and any applicable local codes or ordinances
- This switch is designed for use with 120VAC, 50/60Hz only.
SPECIFICATION
4-Way decorative switch, push-in & terminal screws; 15A, 60Hz, 120V.
INSTALLATION
- Ensure the power has been turned off by switching the circuit breaker to the OFF position or by removing the fuse from the fuse panel. See Warning.
- Using Side Terminal Screws:
- Terminal screws accept up to 12AWG copper or copper-clad wire can be used.
- Remove jacketing from wires, approximately 3/4″ (1.9 cm).
- The HOT terminals are the black screws. Loop each wire around their respective terminal screws as per the diagram below and fasten the screws securely.
- Loop the ground wire around the GREEN terminal screw, and fasten the screw securely.
- Use Push-In Wire Holes:
- Push-in holes accept only 14AWG solid copper wire must be used.
- Remove jacketing from wires, approximately 1/2″ (1.3 cm).
- HOT push-in holes are closest to black screws.
- Insert wires into push-in holes on the back of the switch.
- Mount the switch using the long mounting screws provided. Attach the wall plate.
- Restore power at the circuit breaker or fuse. See Warning. The switch is now operational.
