Product Information

The item being installed is a fixture with the model number Item#342. The product was manufactured on 02/20/2012. The installation instructions are provided in this manual and should be read and saved for future reference.

Warnings
Before starting the installation, it is important to shut off the power at the fuse box or circuit breaker. This precaution ensures safety during the installation process.

Mounting the Fixture

1. Remove the fixture from the carton and check that all parts are included.
2. Shut off the power at the fuse box or circuit breaker.
3. If necessary, remove the old fixture including the mounting hardware.
4. Attach the circular strap (A) over the outlet box using the mounting screws (B). Ensure that the side of the circular strap marked GND faces out.
5. Thread the two studs (C) partway into the circular strap (A).

Connecting the Wires
Follow the steps below to connect the electrical wires:

1. Connect the fixture’s ground wire to the outlet box’s ground wire using wire connectors. If there is no ground wire in the outlet box, connect the fixture’s ground wire directly to the crossbar using the provided green screw.

2. Tuck all connected wires carefully into the ceiling junction box.
   Completing the Installation

3. Place the backplate (E) over the two studs (C) and secure it against the wall using the two cap nuts (D).

4. Install the light bulb(s) according to the fixture’s specifications. Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.

5. Slide the glass (F) onto the backplate (E) and set it into place.

Once the installation is complete, return power to the junction box and test the fixture.

Note: The illustration in Fig. 1 is for installation purposes only and may not be identical to the purchased fixture.

Wire Color Codes:

• Fixture Wires: Black or Smooth
• Fixture Wires: White or Ribbed
• Fixture Wires: Bare Copper (Ground)
• House Wires: Black (Hot)
• House Wires: White (Neutral)
• House Wires: Green (Ground)

The minimum supply conductors required for this fixture are 90.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

MOUNTING THE FIXTURE (Fig. 1)

1. Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and check that all parts are included as shown in the illustration.

2. Shut off the power at the fuse box or circuit breaker. If necessary, remove the old fixture including the mounting hardware.

3. Attach the circular strap (A) over the outlet box using the mounting screws (B) (Size: #8-32N*L0.5”), the side of the circular strap (A) marked “GND” must face out.

4. Thread the two studs (C) partway into the circular strap (A).
   CONNECTING THE WIRES (Fig. 2)

5. At this point, connect the electrical wires as shown in Figure 2, making sure that all wire connectors are secured. If your outlet box has a ground wire (green or bare copper), connect the fixture’s ground wire to it and secure with the wire connectors, otherwise, connect the fixture’s ground wire directly to the crossbar using the green screw provided. After the wires are connected, tuck them carefully into the ceiling junction box.
   COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION (Fig. 1)

6. Place the backplate (E) over the two studs (C) through the holes, then secure the backplate (E) against the wall with the two cap nuts (D).

7. Install the light bulb(s) (not included) in accordance with the fixture’s specifications. (DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE RATING!!) (NE PAS DEPASSER LA PUISSANCE NOMINALE MAXIMALE!).

8. Slide the glass (F) onto the backplate (E) and set it into place.

Your installation is now complete. Return power to the junction box and test the fixture.
