Installation Instructions for Item#2535-695
The Item#2535-695 is a new fixture that comes with everything you need to install it. It is important to follow the instructions carefully to ensure safe and proper installation. The fixture is designed to be hung from a chain loop and comes with a support cable to help hold the weight while wiring. It requires five medium base bulbs up to 60 watts each or CFL or LED equivalent (not included). The maximum wattage rating should not be exceeded. The fixture has black or smooth, white or ribbed, and bare copper (ground) wires that need to be connected to the house wires.
Product Usage Instructions
- Shut off power at the fuse box or circuit breaker box and remove the old fixture including the mounting hardware.
- Carefully unpack your new fixture and lay out all the parts in a clean area. Take care not to misplace any small parts necessary for installation.
- Secure rod (J) onto all thread (I) on the fixture body.
- Determine the desired hanging height and thread rods (F1, F2 and F3) to the all thread on rod (J). Screw loop (H1) to rod (F1). Pass the wires carefully through each rod as you assemble.
- Attach quick link (G) to loop (H1) and loop (H2) on canopy (D). Carefully feed the wire through loop (H1), quick link (G), and loop (H2).
- Attach mounting plate (A) to the junction box (not included) with mounting screws (B) (Size: #8-32N*L0.5). The side of the mounting plate with GND marked on it and two convex points must face out.
- The support cable is provided to support the weight of the fixture while wiring. Align the fixture to mounting plate (A) and attach hook (P) on the end of support cable (C) and a slot located on mounting plate (A). Carefully allow the support cable (C) to support the weight of the fixture while wiring.
- Connect the electrical wires as shown in Fig. 2, making sure that all wire connectors are secured. If your junction box has a ground wire (green or bare copper), connect the fixture’s ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the fixture’s ground wire directly to the mounting plate (A) using the green screw provided.
- Tuck the wire connectors neatly into the junction box.
- Slide canopy (D) over mounting plate (A) and secure with screws (E).
- Install (5) five medium base bulbs (K) up to 60 watts each or CFL or LED equivalent (not included) in accordance with the fixture specification–DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE RATING! (NE PAS DEPASSER LA PUISSANCE NOMINALE MAXIMALE!).
- Thread all thread (M) to coupling (T) and tighten with hex nut (L). Adjust hex nut position if necessary.
- Place plastic washer (O), metal washer (N), glass shield (R), over all thread (M) and secure with finial (Q).
- Your installation is now complete. Return power to the junction box and test the fixture.
WARNING! SHUT THE POWER OFF AT THE FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER.
