CORNAT SA144 Consumption Indicator Faucet And Shower Hose

Product Information

The SMARTLY Consumption Indicator is a device that is installed between the faucet and the shower hose. It is designed to measure and display the water consumption during usage. The indicator comes with multiple language options for ease of use.
The device features an LED display that changes color to provide a quick orientation of the current total consumption. The colors indicate the following:

  • Green light: up to approximately 40 liters
  • Orange light: approximately 40 to 60 liters
  • Red light: over approximately 60 liters

The total consumption is added up until the reset button, located at the bottom of the device, is pressed. This allows users to track their consumption for various purposes, such as monitoring a complete shower process or calculating daily consumption for the entire family. When the total consumption reaches 999 liters, the counter automatically resets to zero. The device is not intended for replacement or repair of its built-in LEDs. It is important not to use abrasive or corrosive agents or hard brushes for cleaning.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. To determine the amount consumed, turn on the water and press the reset button to set the consumption counter to zero. This can only be done when the water is running.
  2. From now on, the consumption counter will add up the water quantities flowing through, even if you turn off the water in between, until you press the reset button again.
  3. For a complete shower process, ensure that the water flow remains uninterrupted until you finish showering.
  4. To track daily consumption for the whole family, allow the device to continuously add up the water quantities throughout the day.
  5. Remember that after a total consumption of 999 liters, the counter will automatically reset to zero.

Disposal:
When disposing of the device, it is important to follow proper waste management guidelines. Electrical appliances contain hazardous substances that can harm the environment and health if not disposed of correctly. Contact your community or municipal administration to obtain information about collection points that accept old appliances free of charge.

LED INDICATOR

The water consumption indicator shows

  • the current water temperature in °C
  • the current water flow rate in l/min
  • the total consumption in l

The total consumption is added until you press the reset button on the bottom of the appliance. This resets the counter to zero. This way you get the consumption for e.g. a complete shower process, even if you turn off the water in between to soap up. Or you can have the total consumption for a day added up for the whole family. For your information: After a total consumption of 999 litres, the counter automatically resets to zero.
The LED display gives you a quick orientation about the current total consumption by changing colour:

  • green light: up to approx. 40 litres
  • orange light: approx. 40 to 60 litres
  • red light: over approx. 60 litres

Safety instructions

  • Never expose the appliance to hot water above 60 °C or to a pressure higher than 5 bar.
  • Do not disassemble the unit or attempt to repair it yourself. The built-in LEDs cannot and must not be replaced.
  • Do not use any abrasive or corrosive agents or hard brushes etc. for cleaning.

Mounting

Prerequisite: This item is suitable for all pressure-resistant hot water systems such as central heating, instantaneous water heaters, pressure boilers, etc. It is not suitable for pressureless hot water systems. It is not suitable for pressureless water heaters such as hot water tanks, pressureless water tanks, etc. Contact a specialist company (plumber, technical advice) if you are not sure whether the item is suitable for your water connection.

  • Install the water consumption indicator between the shower fitting and the shower hose as shown. Insert one of the enclosed seals on each side.
  • To loosen the nuts, use a suitable jaw wrench or water pump pliers that can be adjusted to the respective diameter. We recommend placing a cloth between them to avoid scratching the surfaces.
  • As soon as the water is turned on, the display lights up and shows the temperature, flow rate and consumption, coloured according to the amount used. An external power supply is not required. The electricity required is generated by the running water.
Note: If only very little water is flowing, it is not sufficient for a measurement/display. A water pressure >1.5 bar is required for this.

Determining the amount consumed

  • Turn on the water and then press the reset button to set the consumption counter to zero. This can only be done when the water is running. From now on, the consumption counter adds up the water quantities flowing through – even if you turn off the water in between – until you press the reset button again. When the total consumption reaches 999 litres, the counter automatically resets to zero.
