CORNAT SP-EHM Kitchen Sink Tap

Intended use

  • The product is a water-saving tap intended exclusively for connection to the cold water pipe and a power line to regulate the heating of the water and for installation on a sink/ washbasin. Ensure that the specifications for power connection and water pressure (see “technical data”) are followed.
  • The product is not suitable for, and must not be connected to, central heating systems, instantaneous water heaters, pressure boilers, low-pressure water heaters or other water heating systems. If in doubt, consult a plumber or specialist advisor.
  • Any use other than described above or modification of the product is not permitted and may result in damage. In addition, life-threatening hazards and injuries may result from improper use. The product is intended for private use only. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use.

Instruction-manual

Please note the following points before installation:

  • The installation should only be carried out by qualified persons in accordance with DIN1988.
  • Before starting the installation, please tum off the water supply (ideally the main water tap at the water meter).
  • water damage is possible)
  • If the mains cable of this unit is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its customer service or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
  • Only connect the unit to a cold water supply! Forquestions or uncertainties, contact a sanitary specialist. The fitting is suitable for use in private households and exclusively in rooms with a temperature above 0 ° C only. If there is a risk of frost, the water supply must be interrupted and the fitting must be emptied of any remaining water.
-Always drain a large amount of water before using the tap for the first time and if it has not been used for a long period of time!

Important assembly note

  • CAUTION! Do not twist the connection hose and do not put it under tension.
  • Remove the protective cap from the fastening thread, then unscrew the fastening nut and the two cable guide rings from the fitting thread.
  • The fitting can be installed so that the power cable is laid below (Fig. 1 a-3a) or (Fig. 1 b- 3b) above the work surface (worktop/ sink).
  • When laying below the worktop, please ensure that the hole in the worktop is large enough for the mains plug to fit through.
  • The flexible connection hose may only be screwed into the fitting hand-tight.
  • Do not use tools such as pliers or spanners.

Commissioning

  • After commissioning, check all connections carefully for leaks.
  • Check the operation of the fitting. To do this, turn the lever forwards.
  • Only if there are no leaks, insert the mains plug into the socket.
  • Caution : as the water flow (flow rate) increases, the temperature in the hot water area drops!

Set water temperature

When the lever is at an angle of approx. 45 ° to the main unit, the water flow is switched off. Turning the lever downwards increases the flow for cold water. Turning the lever upwards increases the flow for hot water. As the flow rate increases in the hot water section, the water temperature decreases. When the unit is operated in the hot water section, the display shows the water temperature. Electricity is only consumed during hot water production.
It is therefore not necessary to disconnect the mains plug to save electricity. Always disconnect the unit from the mains before cleaning/ maintenance and when not in use for a longer period of time.

Carefully check all connections for leaks and ensure that all cables from electrical appliances near the sink are correctly and safely installed. The connection plug of the fitting must fit into the socket. The plug must not be modified in any way. Do not use adapter plugs. Unmodified plugs and matching sockets reduce the risk of electric shock. Avoid contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, heaters, cookers and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed. Never immerse the connecting cable or the fitting in water or other liquids and ensure that they do not fall into the water. Never touch the power cable with wet hands when it is connected to the mains. Do not misuse the cable to pull the mains plug out of the socket or similar. Keep the cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts of the appliance. Damaged or tangled cables increase the risk of electric shock. If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician.

Use the product only at an ambient temperature above o 0c. Do not use the product
  • if there is a risk that the water in the tap is frozen. If there is a risk of frost, interrupt the water supply and empty the fitting. Do not use the product if it is damaged or if its operation is impaired. Leaks and water leakage can cause considerable damage to buildings and household contents. Therefore, check all connections carefully for leaks. Before installation, familiarise yourself with all the conditions on site, e.g. the existing water connections and the shut-off devices. Do not make any changes to the unit!
  • Do not change the connection lines yourself. Do not carry out repairs yourself, but commission a specialist or contact customer service in order to avoid hazards. Only have defective parts replaced with original spare parts.

  • The water does not get warm:
The mains plug is not inserted correctly into the socket.

    • Correct the fit of the mains plug The socket is defective.
    • Try a different socket There is no mains voltage.
    • Check the fuse of the electrical distributor (fuse box)
  • The water is lukewarm:
The greater the flow rate of the hot water, the cooler the water. + reduce the water flow by means of the lever

  • The fuse in the fuse box has been tripped:
Too many appliances connected in one circuit. + Reduce the number of connected devices
The circuit is not designed for the power of the unit.
