Product Information

The VMC34D / VMC34DBK is a 34-way deep combined meter board designed for installation in accordance with Australian and New Zealand wiring rules. It complies with AS/NZS 61439.3 safety standards and has an IP40 rating. The product has a ratedoperational voltage of 415V AC maximum at 50Hz, a maximum current of 100A, and a rated insulation voltage of 1000V. It can withstand short circuits up to 10kA.
The dimensions of the cover assembly are 800 x 402 x 77mm, and the base box dimensions are 754 x 355 x 150mm. The product is covered by a 1-year warranty from Vynco Industries (NZ)Limited.
The VMC34D / VMC34DBK meter board is designed to be installed inside a wall cavity with a minimum stud size of 90mm and a minimum plaster board or wall covering of 10mm. For surface mounting, it should be used in conjunction with the VMCC surface mount enclosure. The metal wall enclosure must be properly earthed.
The door of the meter board can be easily reversed to swing either left or right. It is designed to be used with New Zealand and Australia’s MEN system. It is important not to install a link between the neutral bars and earth bar on circuits dedicated to RCDs (Residual Current Devices). During installation, ensure that circuits and protective devices are adequately identified.
Note: This product does not contain any user-serviceable parts.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Ensure that you have a suitable wall cavity with a minimum stud size of 90mm and a minimum plaster board or wall covering of 10mm.
2. If surface mounting, use the VMCC surface mount enclosure along with the VMC34D / VMC34DBK meter board.
3. Properly earth the metal wall enclosure by folding out the tags on the side walls of the enclosure to set the correct height onto the studs.
4. If needed, reverse the door of the meter board to swing either left or right.
5. Install the meter board inside the wall cavity, ensuring that it is securely mounted and properly earthed.
6. Do not install a link between the neutral bars and earth bar on circuits dedicated to RCDs.
7. Ensure that circuits and protective devices are adequately identified during installation.

Please refer to the fitting diagram on Vynco’s website (VYNCO.CO.NZ) for visual guidance on fitting the meter board into a wall cavity and setting the height of the enclosure onto studs.

SAFETY

This product complies in full with AS/NZS 61439.3.
This product should be installed by a suitably qualified person in accordance with Australian and New Zealand wiring rules.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

• This product is designed to be installed inside a wall cavity with a minimum stud size of 90mm and a minimum plaster board/wall covering of 10mm.
• For surface mounting use VMCC surface mount enclosure in conjunction with this board.
• The metal wall enclosure must be earthed. Fold out tags (x6) on the side walls of the enclosure can be folded out to set the correct height onto the studs.
• Door hinge pins are easily removable and the door can be reversed so that it swings either left or right. This product is designed to be used with New Zealand and Australia’s MEN system.
• DO NOT install a link between the neutral bars and earth bar on circuits dedicated to RCDs. Please ensure circuits and protective devices  are adequately identified during installation.

REMOVING DOOR

• STEP 1
  Rotate top pin 90°.

• STEP 2
  Slide pin down to release door. There is no need to remove pin completely .

• STEP 3
  Lift and remove door.

FITTING DIAGRAM
