Product Usage Instructions
Safety
Ensure the circuit is safety isolated before installation.
All wiring should be carried out by a licensed/ registered electrician or
similarly qualified person wiring and installed according to the AS/NZS 3000
wiring rules.
The 88DP product must be fitted to a wall plate and installed in a suitable
enclosure (mounting block or flush box). The input terminals should not be
accessible when the product is being used.
The integrated ON/OFF press switch does not isolate the power supply. The
power must be switched off at the circuit breaker (MCB) before servicing the
Dimmer or Load.
Fitment
Securely press the mech into the switch plate and connect wiring as per the wiring diagram provided.
Compatible Loads
Compatible loads for TE mode include Integral Dimmable LED lamps, Dimmable LED lighting with compatible Electronic Transformers, Incandescent lighting, MV Halogen lamps, and LV Halogen Lighting with Electronic Transformers.
Compatible loads for LE mode (Auto change to LE mode) include Lighting with Iron-core Transformers (Max.50W) and Small motor loads, ceiling sweep fans (Max.50W).
Installation Procedure
- Ensure the circuit is safely isolated.
- Securely press the mech into the switch plate.
- Connect wiring as per the wiring diagram.
- Secure the switch plate to a suitable flush or mounting block with the screw fasteners.
- Turn on the power and test for correct operation.
Operation
The dimmer operates as an On/Off switch by short press of the Push Button. Press and hold the Push Button to dim up or release and hold to dim down until minimum level.
Warranty
This product is covered by the standard 2 Year Vynco Warranty. Proof of purchase is required. Contact Vynco for details of returns procedure.
Function Default Instructions
Adjust the minimum dimming level to a minimum of 20% brightness. To adjust, with the lights ON, set the minimum brightness level to the required level (minimum 20%), then press the dimmer knob 5 times in quick succession. The push button backlight will flash 3 times to confirm the new setting.

COMPATIBLE LOADS
NOTE: When connect with IRON-CORE transformers or MOTOR-LOADS, Only Leading
Edge mode (LE) could be applied, the TEauto mode can not be used in this case.
Multiple compatible loads can be used as long as the total lamp wattage does
not exceed the maximum load rating of the dimmer. Some lamps may exhibit
unexpected performance characteristics when cold. Dimming performance should
improve after the lamp warms up. Or in case of lamp appears unstable status,
it could be changed to LE mode.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
- Isolate the power before installation.
- Switch power ON only after complete installation and testing of the circuit.
STEP 1. Ensure the circuit is safety isolated.
STEP 2. Securely press the 88DP mech into the Switch plate.
STEP 3. Connect wiring as per the wiring diagram:
STEP 4. Secure switch plate to a suitable flush or mounting block with
the screw fasteners.
STEP 5. Turn on power and test for correct operation.
NOTE: The Dimmer must always be connected to the LINE side of the Load.
Do not connect more than one Master Dimmer (88DP) on a circuit. Always use
Slave Switches (88SPM) in multi-way installations.
A maximum of 10 Slave Switches can be used on any one circuit.

One Way Operation
OPERATION
The dimmer operates as an On/Off switch by short press of the Push Button.
Press and hold the Push Button to dim up or release and hold to dim down until
minimum level.
The default settings can be adjusted to suit the installation via the settings
below.
Only change the settings at the Master Push Button.

Note: A new minimum dimming level is required after clearing, otherwise it will reset to the factory default setting.

FAQ
Q: Can I connect more than one Master Dimmer on a circuit?
A: No, only one Master Dimmer should be connected on a circuit. Use Slave Switches in multi-way installations.
Q: What happens if I connect incompatible loads?
A: Connecting incompatible loads may result in unexpected performance characteristics or instability. Ensure to use only compatible loads as specified in the manual.
