COOPER Lighting Solutions LVL20UG LED Vapor Tight
Product Information
The Lumark product is a lighting fixture that comes with various packaging
contents. It includes wire connectors, a glass lens, and the Lumark LVL20UG
fixture.
Items Required
- A power source (120 – 277V universal power source
- UL-approved wire connectors
- Mounting screws (sold separately)
- Silicone caulk
- M2 Allen wrench
- Glass cleaner or soap and water
- Dry cloth
- Tempered safety glass (if lens replacement is needed)
Important Safety Instructions
- Disconnect power at the fuse or circuit breaker before installing or servicing the fixture.
- Ensure the fixture is connected to a 120 – 277V universal power source.
- Use UL-approved wire connectors and make sure no loose strands of wire are sticking out from under the connectors.
- Follow FCC regulations and avoid unauthorized changes or modifications to the equipment.
- Save and follow all provided instructions and warnings.
Product Usage Instructions
Installation
- This fixture can be installed directly on a flat surface or as a pendant with a 1/2-inch conduit fitting.
- If splicing connections inside the fixture housing, remove the fixture back plate by unscrewing the 4 #6-32 screws on the back plate.
- Wire the fixture by connecting the white supply wire to the white fixture wire using the included wire nut. Connect the black supply wire to the black fixture wire using the included wire nut.
- Connect the supply ground wire to the fixture ground wire using the included wire nut.
- If using the fixture housing for splice connections, replace the fixture back plate using the 4 #6-32 stainless steel screws.
- Mount the housing to either a 1/2-inch hanging conduit or a surface using the two tabs and mounting screws (sold separately).
- Apply silicone caulk around the base of the housing or around the conduit to create a watertight seal against rain and moisture.
- If changing the conduit location, use thread sealing tape on the plug to ensure a watertight seal. Ensure any unused conduit opening has a conduit plug.
Care and Maintenance
- Before servicing, turn off the power at the main fuse or circuit breaker.
- Loosen the wire guard set screw using an M2 Allen wrench.
- Rotate the wire guard counterclockwise to remove it.
- Rotate the lens counterclockwise to remove the glass lens.
- Clean the lens from dirt or debris using glass cleaner or soap and water.
- Remove water or residue from the lens with a dry cloth.
- Replace the glass lens and wire guard.
- Tighten the wire guard set screw.
- Note: If replacing the lens, use only tempered safety glass of equal thickness as per UL requirements.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Cause / Solution |

CAUTION
- Connect the fixture to a 120 – 277V, 60 Hz power source. Any other connection voids the warranty
- Fixture should be installed by persons with experience in household wiring or by a qualified electrician.
- The electrical system, and the method of electrically connecting the fixture it must be in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local building codes
- For wall or ceiling mount application
- FOR SUPPLY CONNECTIONS, USE WIRE RATED FOR AT LEAST 75°C

NOTE: Make certain that the fixture is connected to a 120 – 277V
universal power source. UL-approved wire connectors should be used. Be sure no
loose strands of wire are sticking out from under your wire connectors
INSTALLATION
- This fixture can be installed directly on a flat surface or as a pendant with a 1/2-inch conduit fitting. Splice connections can be made inside the fixture housing. To gain access to the fixture housing remove fixture back plate by removing the 4 #6 – 32 screws on the back plate (Fig. 1).
- To wire the fixture connect the white supply wire to the white fixture wire using the included wire nut. Connect the black supply wire to the black fixture wire using the included wire nut.
- Connect the supply ground wire to the fixture ground wire using the included wire nut.
- If using the fixture housing for splice connections replace the fixture back plate using the Qty 4 #6 – 32 stainless steel screws (Fig. 3).
- Mount housing to either 1/2 in. hanging conduit or to a surface using the two tabs and mounting screws (sold separately).
- Apply silicone caulk around the base of the housing or around the conduit to provide a watertight seal against rain and moisture.
NOTE : If you remove one of the 4 conduit plugs and use an alternate conduit location add thread sealing tape to the plug to ensure water tight seal in the new plug location. Ensure any unused conduit opening has a conduit plug.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
- Turn off power at the main fuse or circuit breaker before installing or servicing.
- Loosen wire guard set screw using an M2 Allen wrench.
- Rotate the wire guard counter-clockwise to remove wire guard (B) (Fig. 2).
- Rotate the lens counterclockwise to remove the glass lens (C).
- Remove any dirt/debris from the lens and clean the lens with a glass cleaner or soap and water.
- Remove any water/residue from the lens with a dry cloth.
- Replace the glass lens.
- Replace the wire guard.
- Tighten the wire guard set screw.
NOTE: If the lens is replaced, use only tempered safety glass of equal thickness per UL requirements.

WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Cooper
Lighting Solutions (“CLS”) warrants to customers that, for a period of five
years from the date of purchase, CLS products will be free from defects in
materials and workmanship. The obligation of CLS under this warranty is
expressly limited to the provision of replacement products. This warranty is
extended only to the original purchaser of the product. A
purchaser’s receipt or other proof of the date of original purchase is
acceptable to CLS. This is required before warranty performance shall be
rendered. This warranty does not apply to CLS products that have been altered
or repaired and that have been subjected to neglect, abuse, misuse, or
accident (including shipping damages). This warranty does not apply to
products not manufactured by CLS that have been supplied, installed, and/or
used in conjunction with CLS products. Damage to the product caused by
replacement bulbs or corrosion or discoloration of brass components is not
covered by this warranty.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
IN NO EVENT SHALL CLS BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR IN TORT INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), NOR FOR LOST PROFITS; NOR SHALL THE LIABILITY OF CLS FOR ANY CLAIMS OR DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THESE TERMS OR THE MANUFACTURE, SALE, DELIVERY, USE, MAINTENANCE, REPAIR OR MODIFICATION OF CLS PRODUCTS, OR SUPPLY OF ANY REPLACEMENT PARTS THEREFORE, EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF CLS PRODUCTS GIVING RISE TO A CLAIM. NO LABOR CHARGES WILL BE ACCEPTED TO REMOVE OR INSTALL FIXTURES.

All returned products must be accompanied by a Return Goods Authorization Number issued by the Company and must be returned freight prepaid. Any product received without a Return Goods Authorization Number from the Company will be refused. CLS is not responsible for merchandise damaged in transit. Repaired or replaced products shall be subject to the terms of this warranty and are inspected when packed. Evident or concealed damage that is made in transit should be reported at once to the carrier making the delivery and a claim filed with them.
