Product Usage Instructions

Firmware Version and Options

  • To add the firmware version and options, use the Flash Link Updater or Flash Link Mobile tool, sold separately.

Program Bypass Option

  • If the vehicle is not equipped with a functional hood pin
  • Set Unit Option C1 as OFF.
  • If the vehicle can be remote started with the hood open
  • Set Unit Option A11 as OFF.

Notice: The installation of safety elements, such as the hood pin switch, is mandatory for proper functioning and security.

Wiring Connection

  • Connect the following wires according to the provided wiring guide (not included in the text)
  • – (+)12V – (+)Parking Light – (+)Ignition – (+)Brake – (-)Start/Stop – CAN High – CAN Low – RX – TX

Remote Starter Diagnostics
LED Indicator on the module

  • 3x flash: No tach signal detected
  • 4x flash: Ignition detected
  • 5x flash: Hood open detected

Safety Precautions

  • Cut and stick the provided warning card on a visible place or use the RSPB package (sold separately).
  • The vehicle can be started by either pressing the lock button on the OEM remote 3 times consecutively or by using a smartphone.
  • Before working on the vehicle, turn on the safety switch located under the dashboard.

Note: This module must be installed by a qualified technician to avoid any wrong connections that can cause permanent damage to the vehicle. Please refer to the complete user  manual for detailed installation instructions and additional information.

* HOOD PIN
HOOD STATUS : THE HOOD PIN SWITCH MUST BE INSTALLED IF THE VEHICLE CAN BE REMOTE STARTED WITH THE HOOD OPEN, SET FUNCTION A11 TO OFF.

Notice: the installation of safety elements are mandatory. The hood pin is an essential security element and must be installed.
THIS MODULE MUST BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN. A WRONG CONNECTION CAN CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.

STAND ALONE CONFIGURATION

REMOTE STARTER FUNCTIONALITY

REMOTE STARTER WARNING CARD
CUT THIS WARNING CARD AND STICK IT ON A VISIBLE PLACE: or use the package RSPB, Sold separately.

REMOTE STARTER

THE VEHICLE CAN BE STARTED BY EITHER: PRESSING THE LOCK BUTTON ON THE OEM REMOTE 3 TIMES CONSECUTIVELY OR BY A SMARTPHONE. TURN ON THE SAFETY SWITCH LOCATED UNDER THE DASHBOARD BEFORE WORKING ON THE VEHICLE.

DESCRIPTION

WIRING CONNECTION

KEY PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE 1/2

Remove the battery from the OEM remote.
Keep the other OEM remotes at least 3 meters (10 feet) away from the vehicle to proceed

  1. Press and hold the programming button: Connect the 4-PIN Data-link harness (Black connector

  2. The Blue, Red, Yellow and Blue & Red LEDs will alternatively illuminate.

  3. Release the programming button when the LED is YELLOW.

  4. If the LED is not solid YELLOW disconnect the 4-Pin connector (Data-Link) and go back to step 1

  5. Insert the required remaining connectors.

  6. Press and release the programming button three times (3x).

  7. The YELLOW LED will alternate between 3x flashes and a pause.

  8. Wait until the YELLOW LED turns ON.

  9. Insert the OEM remote (no battery) in the keyport. (Keyport located in center console or in Steering Column).

  10. Press and release the footbrakepedal.

  11. The RED LED will turns ON.

  12. The YELLOW LED turns OFF.
    If the LED is not solid RED, press and release the footbrake, wait 5 seconds, repeate this step until the RED LED turn ON.

  13. Press and release the footbrake pedal

  14. The RED LED is ON.

  15. The BLUE LED turns ON.
    If the LED is not solid BLUE, press and release the footbrake, wait 5 seconds, repeate this step until the BLUE LED turn ON.

  16. Press the START/STOP button twice to turn ON the ignition.

  17.  The BLUE LED will Flash rapidly.

  18. The RED LED will turns OFF.

  19. Press the START/STOP button once to turn OFF the ignition.

  20. Wait until the BLUE LED flash slowly.

  21. Reinsert the battery in the OEM remote. the Data-Link (4-pins) connector.

  • All doors must be closed.
  • Remote start the vehicle.
  • Unlock the doors with either:
    • The OEM remote
    • The remote-starter remote
    • Or the proximity remote
  • Enter the vehicle with the Intelligent Key.
  • The vehicle can now be put in to gear and driven.

If the vehicle is not unlocked with one of these conditions the remote-starter will shut down as soon as any door is opened
