FORTIN 2015 Nissan Sentra Remote Starters
Product Information:

Product Usage Instructions:
- If the vehicle is not equipped with a functional hood pin, you need to add the firmware version and options using the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool, which are sold separately.
- Mandatory Installation: The hood pin switch must be installed for proper functionality. If the vehicle can be remote started with the hood open, set function A11 to OFF.
- Parts Required (Not Included): 1X Fuse, 1X Multimeter, 1X Diode
- The installation of safety elements is mandatory. The hood pin is an essential security element and must be installed.
- This module must be installed by a qualified technician. Incorrect connections can cause permanent damage to the vehicle.
- Wiring Connections:
- BCM (+) Parking Lights: Connect to the immobilizer connector
- (-) Door Pin
- (-) Unlock
- (-) Lock
- OBDII: Connect to the automatic transmission brake switch
- Push-to-Start button: Located at the back of the button
- Datalink Installation:
- T-Harness – THAR-NIS1: Connect as per the wiring diagram provided on page 4
- 12-pin white female and male connectors are not required
- For automatic transmission vehicles, connect to the top connector (2018 models)
- Wiring Connection with Data-Link:
- Connect the necessary wires according to the wiring diagram provided on page 4
- Use the appropriate connection method based on whether you have a data-link or D2D connection
- Refer to the color codes mentioned in the instructions for proper wire connections
- Make sure to use a diode and a 15 AMP fuse as specified
ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION VEHICLES.
NOTES
The vehicles OEM remote and SmartKey are still operable during remote start.
MANDATORY INSTALL
HOOD STATUS : THE HOOD PIN SWITCH MUST BE INSTALLED IF THE VEHICLE CAN BE REMOTE STARTED WITH THE HOOD OPEN, SET FUNCTION A11 TO OFF.
Notice: the installation of safety elements are mandatory. The hood pin is an essential security element and must be installed.
THIS MODULE MUST BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN. A WRONG CONNECTION CAN CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.

WIRING CONNECTION

KEY BYPASS PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE
Remove the valet key from the back of the OEM remote. Remove the battery from
the OEM remote.
Keep the other OEM remotes at least 3 meters (10 feet) away from the vehicle
to proceed.

Press and hold the programming button:
Insert the 4-Pin (Data-Link) connector.
The Blue, Red, Yellow and Blue & Red LEDs will alternatively illuminate. -
Release the programming button when the LED is YELLOW.
If the LED is not solid YELLOW disconnect the 4-Pin connector (Data-Link) and go back to step Insert the required remaining connectors. -
Insert the required remaining connectors.

Press and release the programming button three (3x) times.
The YELLOW LED will flash 3 times each second.
WAIT for the YELLOW LED to turn ON solide. -
Place the OEM remote (no battery) close to the front of Start/StOP BUTTON Exactly as shown.
Transponder is located behind the logo.
If the RED LED flash rapidly, wait until the LED turns OFF -
Press and release the foot-brake pedal.
The RED LED will turns ON.
The YELLOW LED turns OFF.
Wait until the message “press brake” disappears.
(This may take up to 12 seconds).
REMOTE STARTER FUNCTIONALITY
If the vehicle is not unlocked with one of these conditions, the remote- starter will shut down as soon as any door is opened.
