Intended use

The product described is a garden box for private use.
The product is intended for storage of, for example, cushions, coatings, padding and objects for leisure purposes.

Fitting

Safety instructions for fitting

CAUTION
Danger of injury in the event of non­observance of these fitting instructions .
This section contains important information on the safe fitting of the product.

  • Before starting fitting work, carefully read through this section.

  • Follow all safety instructions.

  • Perform the fitting as described.

  • Ensure that the following conditions are met when performing fitting work:
    – The working area is cordoned off.
    – Large and bulky parts are only moved by two people.
    – All parts are undamaged and in flawless condition.
    To prevent injuries due to sharp-edged objects and falling parts:

  • Wear protective gloves while carrying out fitting work.

  • Do not fit the product in windy conditions. Fitting under wind exposure may be dangerous.

Preparing for fitting

  • Familiarise yourself with the fitting situation and the related documents.
  • Gather the required tools.

Requirements for the fitting site

The product may only be fitted if the requirements for the fitting site are fulfilled.

  • Ensure that the subsurface is level and clean.
  • Make sure there is sufficient water run-off in the area of the base.

ATTENTION
Danger of material damage due to scratches .
The surfaces of the individual elements may be damaged if carelessly placed on rough ground.

  • After unpacking and during fitting, store the individual elements on a smooth surface.

Use

  • Before using, carefully read through this section.

  • Follow all safety instructions.

  • Do not sit or stand on the product cover. The cover is not designed for loads of this type.

  • Do not sit or stand in the product. The base of the product is not designed for loads of this type.

  • Make sure that children do not climb inside the product and close the cover.

  • Do not place objects on the cover. This can scratch the surface.

  • Protect the product from aggressive and caustic substances, such as:
    – Acids
    – Alkaline solutions
    – Road salt
    – Fertilisers
    – Other chemical substances

  • Do not store heat-sensitive materials in the product.
    The inside can reach very high temperatures in summer.

  • Keep the product free from ice and snow in winter.

Maintenance

Locking cylinders

ATTENTION
Danger of damage due to improper maintenance .
Unsuitable lubricants may cause damage and impair function.

  • Only use specialised lubricants for locking cylinders.
  • Do not use oil or graphite.
  • Lubricate the locking cylinder at least once a year with a suitable lubricant.
Hinges

Oil the hinges on the cover at least once a year with a commercially available lubrication oil.

Cleaning and Care

Surfaces

  • Clean the surfaces with clear water and a soft sponge or with conventional paint cleaners.
  • Remove leaves and other dirt from the product at regular intervals.

Dismantling and Disposal

  • Dismantle the product in accordance with these fitting instructions in the logically correct reverse order.
  • Be sure to dispose of the product correctly in accordance with the requirements in your country.
