BEGA 50847.2 Ceiling Luminaire Downlight

Product Information

Product Description| This luminaire is a high-quality LED light fixture designed for
various lighting applications. It has a lamp module with a
connected wattage of 8.5W and a luminaire connected wattage of 10W.
The luminaire operates at a rated temperature and can be used in
ambient temperatures ranging from 25 to 50 degrees Celsius.

Safety| The installation and operation of this luminaire must comply
with national safety regulations. Only a qualified electrician
should carry out the installation and commissioning. The
manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by improper use or
installation. Any modifications made to the luminaire should be
done by the person responsible for these modifications.
Overvoltage Protection| The electronic components in the luminaire are protected
against overvoltage according to DIN EN 61547. For additional
protection against transients, it is recommended to use separate
overvoltage protection components, which can be found on the
manufacturer’s website at www.bega.com.

Product Usage Instructions

Installation

• Ensure that the luminaire is installed and operated in accordance with national safety regulations.
• Only a qualified electrician should perform the installation and commissioning.
• Avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
• Clean the luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers to remove dirt.

Replacing the LED module

• Locate the designation of the LED module on the label inside the luminaire.
• Ensure that the replacement LED module has the same light color and light output as the original module.
• Disconnect the electrical installation before proceeding.
• Open the luminaire following the provided instructions.
• Follow the installation instructions for the LED module and replace it using standard tools.
• Close the luminaire after replacing the LED module.

Safety

• The installation and operation of this luminaire are subject to national safety regulations. Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
• The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. If subsequent modifications are made tothe luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Installation

• LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
• Remove mounting plate from the luminaire housing.
• Unplug the earth conductor connection (plug contact).
• Lead the power connecting cable through the mounting plate.
• Fix the mounting plate with enclosed or suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
• Make earth conductor connection.
• Push silicone sleeves over the lines and make an electrical connection.
• The two connecting terminals marked DA, DA are provided for digital control purposes.
• The luminaire will work with full light output if these terminals are not assigned. Establish the earth conductor connection to the luminaire housing (plug contact).
• Press the luminaire housing firmly against the mounting plate and turn it clockwise firmly against the stop.
• Screw enclosed trim ring with attached reflector into the luminaire housing by turning it clockwise.
• To adjust the beam direction of the LED, the luminaire is now infinitely rotatable 360° around the vertical luminaire axis.

Cleaning · Maintenance

• Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt.

Replacing the LED module

• The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
• The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted. The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
• Disconnect the electrical installation.
• Open the luminaire.
• Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
• Close the luminaire.
