Product Usage Instructions

1. The installation and operation of this luminaire should be done in accordance with national safety regulations.
2. Installation and commissioning should only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
3. The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by improper use or installation.
4. If any modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications will be considered the manufacturer.
5. The electronic components in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage according to DIN EN 61547. For additional protection, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage protection components, which can be found on the manufacturer’s website.
6. To install the luminaire, follow these steps:
7. Undo the hexagon socket head screws (wrench size 2.5 mm) and lift the luminaire housing.
8. Avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping.
9. Loosen the earth connection (plug connection) and LED connection (plug – plug socket) between the luminaire housing and mounting plate.
10. Pass the power connecting cable through the cable entry in the mounting plate.
11. Fasten the mounting plate to the installation surface using the supplied or suitable fastening material. Make sure to use the supplied gaskets.
12. Establish the earth conductor connection and make the electrical connection to the terminals.
13. Install the luminaire housing onto the mounting plate and tighten the hexagon socket head screws evenly.
14. Insert the supplied shield into the luminaire housing, ensuring that it engages with its magnetic underside flush to the profile groove of the luminaire housing.
15. Refer to the LED module’s installation instructions for any specific guidelines. Replace a defective LED cover, if necessary.
16. To reassemble the luminaire, follow the reverse order of disassembly.

If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Overvoltage protection
The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against overvoltage in accordance with DIN EN 61547. To achieve an additional protection against e. g. transients, etc. we recommend separate overvoltage protection components. You can find them on our website at www.bega.com.

Installation

(wrench size 2.5 mm) and lift luminaire housing. LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping. Loosen earth connection (plug connection) and LED-connection (plug – plug socket) between luminaire housing and mounting plate. Pass the power connecting cable through the cable entry in the mounting plate. Fasten the mounting plate with the supplied fastening material or other suitable fastening material to the installation surface. Make sure to use the gaskets supplied. Establish earth conductor connection and make the electrical connection to the terminals. Restore the earth conductor connection (plug contact) and LED connection (plug– jack) between the luminaire housing and the mounting plate. Install luminaire housing onto the mounting plate and tighten hexagon socket head screws evenly.

Carefully insert the supplied shield into the luminaire housing. Make sure that in its final position, the shield engages with its magnetic underside flush to the profile groove of the luminaire housing.

Cleaning · Maintenance
Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt.

Dimension

Replacing the LED module

• The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
• The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted. The module can be replaced by qualified personnel using standard tools.
• Disconnect the system from the mains.
• Undo the hexagon socket head screws (wrench size 2.5 mm) and lift luminaire housing.
• Loosen earth connection (plug connection) and LED-connection (plug – plug socket) between luminaire housing and mounting plate.
• In order to loosen the screw connection of the LED module, first loosen the hexagon nuts on the inside and remove the metal plate from the luminaire housing. Remove the loose luminaire cover.
• Press the synthetic LED cover together lengthwise and remove it from the housing profile.
• Remove the LED module. Install the replacement LED module.
• Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
• A defective LED cover must be replaced.
• Install the luminaire again in the reverse order.
