SAFETY INFORMATION

Before using this electrical speaker, read the instructions below and keep these instructions for future reference:

  1. Before connecting the speaker to a wall socket, ensure that the local electrical current matches the one specified on the speaker’s nameplate. This speaker should only be connected to a grounded socket.
  2. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  3. Use or store the product in moderate climates only.
  4. Where the mains plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
  5. This speaker is for indoor use only. Any other use (professional) is excluded.
  6. This speaker can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the speaker in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the speaker. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  7. This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed of with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmentally safe recycling.
  8. Disconnect the power cable from the mains as soon as you are done using the speaker and before performing any cleaning or maintenance. Do not touch the speaker with wet hands.
  9. The speaker shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the product. Use in a dry location only. No naked flame source, such as candles, should be placed on the product.
  10. Do not submerge the speaker, mains cable or plug in water or any other liquid.
  11. Warning: Do not use this speaker in or around bathtubs, showers, sinks, or other sources of water.
  12. Caution: Do not use this speaker near water.
  13. This speaker is not intended to be used through an external timer.
  14. Do not cover the speaker.
  15. This speaker must be positioned on a flat surface for use. Do not turn over while in use. Do not expose the speaker to temperatures above 40 °C. Allow at least 30 cm clearance from the rear and the top of the speaker and 5 cm from each side.
  16. CAUTION: Keep all ventilation outlets around the speaker clear.
  17. WARNING: Improper use of this speaker could result in injury.
  18. Press the buttons of the speaker gently. Pressing them too hard can damage the speaker.
  19. Unplug the product during lightning, storms or when it will not be used for long periods of time.
  20. This speaker has no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to repair the speaker yourself. Only qualified service personnel should perform servicing. Take the product to the customer service of your choice for inspection and repair.
  21. The main cable should be regularly examined for damage or deterioration. Do not use the speaker if the main cable is found to be damaged.
  22. Do not leave the speaker unattended when in operation.
  23. NEVER let anyone, especially children, push anything into holes, slots or any other openings in the unit’s casing as this could result in a fatal electric shock.
  24. Do not mount this speaker on a wall or ceiling.
  25. Do not place the speaker near TVs, speakers and other objects that generate strong magnetic fields.
  26. The manufacturer declares that this product complies with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of the Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU and other applicable directives.
  27. The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of insulated ‘dangerous voltage’ within the speaker’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.
  28. Warning: To reduce the risk of electric shock do not remove cover (or back), no user serviceable parts inside refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
  29. The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the speaker.
  30. The device is only intended for use in temperate regions. Do not use the device in tropical or particularly humid climates.
  31. Do not dispose of in household waste, as the product contains batteries. Return used batteries to a battery recycling center.
  32. The batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
  33. Disposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a battery, that can result in an explosion; leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment that can result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas; and a battery subjected to extremely low air pressure that may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.

DESCRIPTION

  1. ON/OFF power button and volume adjustment knob

  3. EQ: Press briefly to switch between the 6 modes: NORMAL, POP, ROCK, JAZZ, CLASSIC, BASS

  12. Briefly press this button to switch mode. Press and hold this button to change and turn off the LED lighting modes.

Note: The USB port can only be used to play music from a USB format. It is not designed to charge other devices. Using it as a charging point may cause damage.

USE

Charging

  • Connect the charging cable into the speaker and then plug in the 9V 2A mains power adapter.
  • You’ll hear a beep a few minutes before the battery runs out. When you hear the first beep, plug your speaker in to recharge it.

Bluetooth connection

  • Turn the power/volume button to the ON position.
  • Search for “PARTYSOUNDBOX200” on your smartphone or another Bluetooth device and select it once detected. The speaker will emit a sound signal once paired.

Aux-in connection

  • Connect the audio via a smartphone / iPad / computer / Notebook / DVD player / etc.
  • Connect one end of the audio cable to the speaker and the other end to a smartphone or EN another audio device.

During playback

  1. Turn the volume adjustment button to adjust the volume to the desired level, or set the volume using the source device (in Bluetooth mode only).
  2. Press the Play/Pause button once to pause the music; Press it again to restart the music.
  3. Briefly press on the Previous button to go back to the previous track, press the Next button to skip to the next track.

Slot for USB/micro SD (TF) card

  • Turn on the device and insert a USB or micro SD (TF) card into the USB/micro SD (TF) card slot. The music will then play automatically.

During playback

  1. Turn the volume adjustment button to set the volume to the desired level.
  2. Press the Play/Pause button once to pause the music; Press it again to restart the music.
  3. Briefly press on the Previous button to go back to the previous track, press the Next button to skip to the next track.

Karaoke
Turn the device on, insert the microphone jack (not provided) into the MIC socket on the device. Turn the volume adjustment button to set the volume to the desired level.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Always unplug the device before cleaning it.
  • Clean the device with a soft cloth.
  • Never use aggressive cleaning products. Avoid acidic substances coming into contact with the device.
  • Store the device in an area free from dust and frost.

GUARANTEES

Guarantees and limitations of liability
Products are guaranteed for a period of 36 months from the date of purchase, or from the date of delivery to the customer’s home. Depending on the country, this guarantee consists of 24 to 36 months of validity for the legal compliance guarantee. For countries that only implement a 24-month legal compliance guarantee, a 12-month commercial guarantee is applied at the end of the first guarantee and supplements it.

For the commercial guarantee

  • Please go to the reception desk at your place of purchase with your proof of purchase (e.g. sales receipt), the
    product and the accessories it came with, and its original packaging, for all countries other than France.

  • It is important to have the date of purchase, the model and the serial number or IMEI number to hand (this information is usually indicated on the product, packaging, or on your proof of purchase). You’ll need to bring back the product with the accessories needed for its correct functioning (power supply, adapter, etc.). If your claim is covered by the guarantee, the after-sales service may, within the limits of local law, either:

  • Repair or replace faulty parts.

  • Exchange the returned product with a product that has, at the least, the same features and that offers equivalent performances.

  • Refund the product at the price stated on the proof of purchase.

  • Repaired or replaced products may include new and/or reconditioned hardware and components.

Commercial guarantee exclusions

  • Damages or problems caused by improper use, accident, tampering/modification or an unsuitable current or voltage connection.
  • Use or storage conditions that are detrimental to the good conservation of the appliance (oxidation, corrosion), use of energy, use or installation non-compliant with the manufacturer’s instructions, or negligence or use of peripherals, software or consumables that are unsuitable.
  • Professional or collective, industrial or commercial use of the product.
  • Products that have been modified, or which have damaged, altered, erased or oxidized guarantee seals or serial numbers.
  • Replaceable batteries and accessories are guaranteed for 6 months.
  • Battery failure is caused by overcharging or by failure to follow the safety instructions set out in the manual.
  • Cosmetic damage, including scratches, bumps or vandalism.
  • Damage caused by any servicing operations carried out by non-authorized persons.
  • Faults caused by normal wear and tear or the normal aging of the product: seals, filters, accessories, vacuum cleaner brush and hose, lamps, overhead projector lamps, washing machine paddles, etc.
  • Software updates as a consequence of changes to network settings.
  • Damage caused by elements external to the appliance (foreign bodies, insects, etc.).
  • The contents of the devices – freezer, washing machine, etc. (food, clothing, etc.)
  • Product failure is caused by the use of third-party software to modify, change, adapt or alter the product as is.
  • Product failure resulting from its use without the accessories supplied with the product or approved by the Manufacturer.
  • Parts for normal wear and tear or damage from use: tire, inner tube, brake, etc.

The customer is responsible for regularly backing up the data contained on their hard disk or in the internal memory of their device, and this is before any claim is submitted. Auchan cannot be held liable for the loss or destruction of stored data, nor may it be held liable for damage caused to software resulting from, in particular, a restoration or a breakdown. Similarly, Auchan is not required to check that SIM/SD cards have been removed from returned products. Under no circumstances shall the provisions set out above reduce or eliminate: the legal guarantee referred to above, and the manufacturer’s commercial guarantee, if applicable (see guarantee form).
