Product Usage Instructions
Safety:
The installation and operation of this luminaire must be done by national
safety regulations. Only a qualified electrician should carry out the
installation and commissioning. The manufacturer is not liable for any damage
caused by improper use or installation. If any modifications are made to the
luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications will be considered
the manufacturer.
Overvoltage Protection:
The electronic components installed in the luminaire are protected against
overvoltage according to DIN EN 61547. For additional protection against
transients and other issues, it is recommended to use separate overvoltage
protection components, which can be found on our website at
www.bega.com.
Luminaire with Trim Ring:
Before installing the luminaire onto the mounting surface, insert the
luminaire housing into the trim ring (accessory).
Installation:
LED components are high-quality electronic components. During installation
or relamping, avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly.
Synthetic Diffuser Removal:
To release the synthetic diffuser from the luminaire housing, turn it
counterclockwise.
Optional Accessories:
Metal trim rings in 3 enamel surfaces are available as optional accessories.
Trim rings must be ordered separately. The available colors are white,
palladium, and glossy silver.

Application
Ceiling and wall luminaire · indoor luminaire made of impact resistant
synthetic diffuser and metal housing, for all lighting tasks. They are ideal
for places where a soft and uniform lighting distribution is required.

Luminaire with trim ring:
Before installing onto the mounting surface the luminaire housing must be
inserted into the trim ring (accessory).
Installation
- LEDs are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during installation or relamping. Pass the main supply cable through the grommet into the luminaire housing.
- Fix luminaire housing with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
- It is imperative to use the enclosed gaskets. Dismantle the mains supply cable approx. 60 mm.
- Pull silicone sleeves over the wires and make earth and electrical connections to the terminals. Place the synthetic diffuser into the luminaire housing and observe that the cam pins fit into the notches of the synthetic diffuser.
- Screw in a synthetic diffuser by turning it clockwise. Thus, you reach a safe and vibration-resistant holding of the synthetic diffuser.
- To release the synthetic diffuser from the luminaire housing, turn it counterclockwise.
Replacement of the LED unit
The designation of the LED unit is noted on a label in the luminaire. The
light color and light output of BEGA replacement units correspond to those of
the LED units originally fitted. The LED unit can be replaced by qualified
persons using standard tools.
- Disconnect from the main supply.
- Unscrew the synthetic diffuser from the luminaire housing by turning it counter-clockwise.
- Disassemble the LED unit.
- Assemble the LED replacement unit.
- Note the installation instructions for the LED unit.
- Screw in a synthetic diffuser by turning it clockwise.
- A damaged synthetic diffuser must be replaced.
Accessory Trim rings
For this luminaire metal trim rings in 3 enamel surfaces are optionally
available. Trim rings are accessories and must be ordered separately.
