Battery installation/replacement

  1. Slide up the battery cover on of the motor module.
  2. Insert 4 new batteries.
  3. While inserting the batteries, please note the polarities mentioned on the battery holder.
  4. Now replace the back covering.

App And Lock setup or functionality

App setup and functionality

  • Follow the steps mentioned in the battery installation.
  • After inserting the batteries, the keypad LEDS will start to flash.
  • Open the Avia secure smart app and tap the + button in the right corner of the app to begin the process of adding a new accessory.
  • Then select ‘Add Avia Smart Deadbolt+’ (as shown in the image seen right).

Lock setup and functionality

Lock or unlock the lock by tapping the tile or press and hold to open the details screen.
In the details screen (seen left) you can do the following:

  • Edit the name of the lock.
  • Monitor the battery percentage.
  • In the rooms section, you can select the room where you have fitted the Avia Smart Deadbolt+.
  • Add NFC keyfob
  • Can add and manage custom PIN codes
  • Update the firmware.
  • You can view the activity log.
  • In the lock setting screen
  • Enable or disable auto-lock feature,
  • Set lock orientation.
  • Enable/disable audio feedback

Keypad setup and functionality

In the Keypad screen (seen left) you can do the following:

  • Enable/disable the keypad.
  • Set a pin for locking.
  • Enable/Disable a keypad wakeup keypress.
  • Enable keypad light
  • Enable Avia logo light
  • Set keypad backlight colour

Lock information

In the Lock information screen (seen left) you can view the following:

  • Firmware version
  • Model
  • Device serial number
  • Device reset instruction
  • Tap on Send diagnostic log to send the diagnostic log

Lock DFU | Updating the firmware

  • Open the Avia app and press and hold the lock tile to access lock details.
  • Scroll down to the DFU section and tap “Update Firmware” to start the firmware update process.

Resetting the lock

  • Remove the battery cover.
  • Using a long, thin object, press and hold the button ‘C’ for at least 10 seconds to reset the device.
