GENERAL ABOUT YOUR CARGO BIKE

  • All our electric bicycles have been equipped with an electric motor to help the cyclist when the resistance increases,
    e. g. in headwind or uphill. The auxiliary force is only active when you pedal. As long as your feet pedal, you get electric help. The auxiliary motor closes automat-ically when you stop pedaling.

  • According to EU law, the maximum speed for electric motor assistance is 25 km/h and a motor power of a maximum of 250 watts. At higher speeds, the auxiliary motor stops driving.

  • The length of the mileage depends on the driver’s weight, temperature, the road surface, hills, air pressure in the tires, the degree of battery charge, weight and load in the box and how often you stop and start. Always take this into account before you go.

  • ery works better when it is not to cold. The capacity decreases by about 1/3 if the temperature drops below 0°C. As a result, the mileage is shorter than usual. The battery works best at an ambient temperature of about 20°C.

  • The bike can be used in rain and snow. However, be aware that if water enters the engine, the electrical system will be damaged and the internal circuit de-stroyed.

  • Be careful not to connect any electrical parts with wet hands as it may cause short circuits.

  • The person using the bicycle must have knowledge of how it is used.

  • Turn off the power supply if a fault occurs or if the electrical system does not work properly.

  • Never overload the bicycle as the motor and battery can be damaged.

The engine is located in the hub in the rear wheel. When the engine is switched on, it supplies your electric bike with power as soon as you start pedaling. Assistance is available in 5 different help levels.

  6. Chain
The chain should be lubricated and cleaned regularly to make the bike run as smoothly as possible. If your chain is too loose, you should go to an authorized workshop and get it tightened.

  7.  Sensor and Magnet Wheel
The rotation sensor sends a signal via the sensor to the motor which tells the motor to drive. The distance between sensor and magnet wheel should be about 1-2mm.

  8. Frame number
Frame number is located on the left side of the frame under the crank arm. The frame number can sometimes be difficult to see as the bicycle is painted after the number has been punched into the frame.

  9. Front Box

This knob can be activated when you have pulled the brake lever into the innermost position.
NOTE! If your bike is to stand still for a long time, the parking brake should not be activated as it reduces the oil pressure in the brake hoses and they can decrease in power.

QUALITY MARKINGS

SGS
SGS is a world-leading organization for inspections, verifications, tests and certifications.

The product complies with basic requirements for, for example, health, safety, function, environment
The prescribed control procedure has been followed

In general, it is important to keep in mind the following:

  • As a road user, you are obliged to know and follow current traffic rules.
  •  We recommend that you always wear a helmet when cycling. If you are under 15 years of age and travel on a Cargobike, you must by law use a bicycle helmet.
  • Never leave children unattended in your box bike.
  • Adjust the speed according to prevailing conditions.

WASTE DISPOSAL
Electrical waste
Consumed electrical and electronic products, including all types of batteries, must be returned to the designated collection point for recycling. (According to Directives 2012/19 / EU and 2006/66 / EC).
Cargobike of Sweden are registered and approved by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

These maintenance instructions are also a prerequisite for the Seller’s warranty terms to apply.
Neglected maintenance can be a traffic hazard and means that the bicycle’s construction is weakened or ages prematurely. If, on the other hand, you take good care of your bike, it will be a joy for many years.

  • Get in the habit of regularly checking and tightening all screws, spokes, nuts, pedals, and crank arms. Any backlash in the wheel, crank, steering bearings and between the box and frame (center bolt) must be rectified by a bicycle shop immediately.

  • Also make sure to have well-inflated tires as it provides lower friction and reduces the risk of punctures and protects the rims. Check side of the tire for recommended pressure.

  • If the spokes feel loose or if the wheels make a ticking sound, it is time to service the bike for spoke tension and/or balance the rim. This should always be done within a few weeks after you start using your new bike.

  • Bicycles should be stored in a dry space. If this is not possible, a rain cover is recommended. In event of paint damage to the frame or front box, it should be maintained and painted to prevent rust.

  • A clean bike is easier to maintain. In addition, the components on your bike work better and last longer if they are not covered with dirt, oil, road salt, mud, etc. Therefore, wash the bike regularly. After cleaning, it’s very important to lubricate all moving parts (such as chains, gears, wires, pedals). Clean and lubricate the chain when needed.

  • The condition of the chain and drive is
of great importance for the service life of the driveline. Therefore, remember to regularly lubricate each link on the chain with chain oil – a drop on each link is a good rule of thumb. Also note that chains and gears are wear components that need to be replaced from time to time.

  • During the winter, screw heads that can collect dirt, and water also needs regular lubrication. Remember that all steel can rust and wood can swell. Once again, we would like to remind you that winter storage should take place in a dry space or to use a protective cover.

  • If the effect of the parking brake decreases, it indicates that the brakes need to be bled and serviced or that the brake pads are worn.

  • At minus degrees, gears can freeze. To avoid this, wires should be lubricated and the bicycle should be stored in a frost-free space.

  • The battery for electric bicycles must not be exposed to extreme heat or water for a long period. When the bicycle is not in use, the battery must be stored in a dry and cool place. If the battery is not used for a longer period, charging should be made approximately 2 hours per month.

  • Make it a habit to check at regular intervals that the brakes and gears are correctly adjusted.

  • Never lubricate the discbrakes or brake pads.

NOTE!
Remember to ride with care. Heavy shocks such as curbs, bumps or uneven surfaces can be devastating if you drive recklessly. Repeatedly driving at high speeds over edg-es and bumps can weaken the frame and spokes. This also applies to overloading.
(Maximum load in box approx. 100 kg plus driver approx. 100 kg.)
The bike is made for normal city driving and is not an off-road vehicle.

CHECK BEFORE THE FIRST RIDE

The following is important to check before using the bicycle for the first time.

  • Many parts on the bike are factory-as-sembled. Check and, if necessary, retighten/adjust factory-fitted parts.
  • Check tire pressure. Maximum and recommended pressure is on the side of the tire.
  • Make sure the battery is fully charged and properly connected

Functionality

  • The battery has low voltage protection, which means that the power supply is stopped automatically when the voltage in the battery is low.
  • The power supply stops automatically when the speed exceeds 25 km/h.
  • The power supply stops automatically when you stop pedaling.

Maximizing the range

  •  Many factors affect the power of the battery and also affect the range.
  •  Recharge the battery completely before a long trip.
  • On uneven roads and hilly terrain, more energy is used.
  •  It takes more energy if you change speed often.
  • Higher weight or more load consumes more energy.
  • Always have the right tire pressure and always keep the bike clean and well-lubricated.
  • Check that all wheels roll freely. If the brake pads receive, more energy is used each year. Check your brakes regularly.
  • Pedaling harder saves the battery and increases the range of the battery.

CHARGE THE BATTERY

  •  The battery and charger must not be handled by children.
  •  Always use the supplied battery charger.
  •  The charger is intended for indoor use at normal room temperature.
  1.  Press the battery indicator to see the battery charge status.
