Setup
Follow the steps below to set up your ZP506 Desktop Printer:
- Remove the packing materials.
- Load media into the printer.
- Adjust the sensor to ensure smooth rotation of the roll.
- Close the printer.
- Connect the power and USB cables.
- Power on the printer.
Configuration
Scan the code to download and install the printer driver
Remove Packing
To remove the packing materials, follow the instructions provided in the
manual. This step is essential to prepare the printer for use.
Slide the release latches to the front to unlock the cover.
Open the printer and remove the packing.
Load Media
To load media into the printer, follow these steps:
- Open the media compartment.
- Place the media roll correctly as per the instructions.
- Close the media compartment securely.
Unroll and discard the outer layer of the media roll.
Spread the roll holders open and place the roll into the printer.
Verify the roll spins easily on the holder.
Pull the end of the roll past the front edge of the printer.
Press the media under the guides.
Adjust Sensor
Ensure that the roll spins easily on the holder by adjusting the sensor. This
step is crucial for proper printing alignment.
Align the sensor to the edge of the roll for marked labels.
Align the sensor to the center of the roll for regular labels.
Close Printer
Press down on the front edge of the printer until it locks.
Connect Power
- Plug the power supply into the printer.
- Plug the power cable into the power supply.
- C. Plug the power cord into an appropriate receptacle.
- D. The power supply lights green.
Connect USB
Connect a USB cable to the printer, connect the other end to your computer.
Precs down on the front edae of the nrinter until it locks
Power On
Press the power button.
When the the printer is ready, the printer status light will turn green.
Smart Calibration
Press and hold the Pause and Cancel buttons for two seconds to line up the labels.
Print Configuration Report
Press and hold the Feed and Cancel buttons for two seconds to print a configuration report..
Media Out
When the ribbon runs out, the printer and ribbon status lights will turn red
Open the printer and discard the empty cartridge.
Cleaning
Clean printhead with a cleaning pen. Clean from the middle to the outside. Do not use a cleaning pen on the platen.
