Product Information

The WaveLinx Wireless is a lighting control system offered by Cooper Lighting Solutions. The system consists of Wireless Area Controllers (WACs) that are installed at specific locations to manage the lighting in those areas. The system can be used in both networked and standalone configurations. The WACs are identified by their MAC IDs, which are required for programming the system.

Network Information

If the control system is to reside on a building network, the following information is required:

  • Site Default IP Address
  • Subnet Mask
  • Default Gateway
  • DNS IP
  • Wireless Area Controller Name/ID
  • Network Username
  • Network Password
  • MAC Address (complete)
  • WAC Location (Floor and Location Installed)
  • IP Address (for each WAC)

If there are additional network devices, a range of IP addresses should be provided.

Product Usage Instructions

To use the WaveLinx Wireless lighting control system, follow these steps:

  1. Install the Wireless Area Controllers (WACs) at the desired locations.
  2. Identify the last four digits of the MAC ID for each WAC. This information can be found on the WAC device.
  3. If the control system is to reside on a building network, provide the required network information as listed above.
  4. Program the system using the MAC IDs of the WACs.
  5. Manage the lighting in each area using the WACs and the programming software.

On the layout, indicate the following:

  1. Location of where the WAC(s) are installed.
  2. The last four digits of the WAC’s MAC ID for each location

Note: Last 4 digits can be found on the WAC device.
