Product Information

Aluminum Roof Installation Manual

The Aluminum Roof Installation Manual provides step-by-step instructions for installing an aluminum roof for a Can Am Maverick Comander 4 Seater vehicle. The product SKU is TEC 004 and it is available for purchase at AFX Motorsports. The roof is designed to fit specifically on a CanAm Maverick X3 with a frontal rack.

Hardware

  • (6x) Tube Clamps #1
  • (14x) 1/4 x 3/4 Bolts with flat washers and nuts
  • (1x) 1/2 Anti-rattling Strip
  • T30 Torx Screwdriver
  • 5/32 Allen Key
  • 7/16 or 14 mm Combination Wrench

It is recommended to install the bolts finger tight at first until all hardware has been installed.

Liability Statement

If the vehicle has an OEM plastic roof, uninstall the original plastic roof by removing the screws located on the rear and front part of the roof. Follow the below steps for installation.

  1. Place the aluminum roof and align the holes from the aluminum roof with the original holes on the roll cage.
  2. Fasten the front part with two 1/4 x 3/4 screws with washers and 1 nut. (Do not tighten yet).
  3. Use the three clamps #1 (included) to adjust the rear part of the roof with washers and nuts (included) and tighten them.
  4. Use the three clamps #1 (included) to adjust the central part of the roof with washers and nuts (included) and tighten them.

Finally, install the 1/2 Anti-rattling Strip to prevent any rattling noise.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that the OEM plastic roof of the vehicle is uninstalled (if applicable).
  2. Place the aluminum roof and align the holes from the aluminum roof with the original holes on the roll cage.
  3. Fasten the front part with two 1/4 x 3/4 screws with washers and 1 nut. (Do not tighten yet).
  4. Use the three clamps #1 (included) to adjust the rear part of the roof with washers and nuts (included) and tighten them.
  5. Use the three clamps #1 (included) to adjust the central part of the roof with washers and nuts (included) and tighten them.
  6. Install the 1/2 Anti-rattling Strip to prevent any rattling noise.
