AFX MOTORSPORTS SKI102 Aluminum Skid Plate
Product Information
The product being discussed is an aluminum skid plate for aCanAm Maverick X3 2-seater model from 2017-2021. The skid plate is designed to protect the vehicle’s underside from damage caused byrocks, branches, and other obstacles encountered while driving off-road. The package includes one right belly, one left belly, one front piece, and one tail piece. Additionally, there are 52 1/4 x 1 self-drilling screws, 52 1/4 x 1 special washers, 10 1/4 x 1 screws with nut and washer, and one 5/16 x 3 screw with nut included in the package.
Product Usage Instructions
- Start by joining both bellies by placing the belly clamps in the middle of both and screwing them with the 1/4 x 1 screws with nut and washer provided. See Image 1 for reference.
- After joining both sides of the bellies, screw them to the underside of the vehicle with the 1/4 x 1 self-drilling screws and 1/4 x 1 special washers provided. See Image 2 for reference.
- Join the front piece to the bottom of the vehicle and the belly using the 1/4 x 1 self-drilling screws and the 1/4 x 1 special washers provided. Finally, use the 1/4 x 1 screws with nut and washer provided to secure it. See the product manual for a visual reference.
- Attach the tail piece to the bottom of the vehicle using the 1/4 x 1 self-drilling screws and the 1/4 x 1 special washers provided.
- Use a 7/32 Allen key and a 9/16 or 14mm combination wrench to install the bolts. It is recommended to install the bolts finger-tight at first until all hardware has been installed.

- (52x) 1/4” x 1“ Self drilling screws
- (52x) 1/4” x 1“ Special washers
- (10x) 1/4” x 1“ Screws with nut and washer.
- (1x) 5/16” x 3“ Screws wit h nut.
Tools needed (Not Included)
- 7/32” Allen Key
- 9/16” or 14mm Combination Wrench
TIP: Install the Bolts Finger tight at first until all hardware has been installed.
- Join both bellies by placing the belly clamps in the middle of both and screw them with the 1/4” x 1“ Screws with nut and washer (which come in the package) as shown in the image 1.
- After joining both sides of the bellies, screw them to the underside of the vehicle with the 1/4” x 1“ Self drilling screws and 1/4” x 1“ Special washers, as shown in image 2.
- Then join the front to the bottom of the vehicle and the belly with the 1/4″ x 1″ Self drilling screws and the 1/4″ x 1″ Special washers (which come in the package) and finally the 1/4 ” x 1“ Screws with nut and washer (also included in the package. As shown in the image
- Finally attach the tail to the bottom of the vehicle with the 1/4” x 1“ Self drilling screws and the 1/4” x 1“ Special washers (included in the package) as shown in the image.

road machine while, or after, consuming alcohol and/or drugs increases risk of
bodily harm or death. No warranty or representation is made as to this
product’s ability to protect user from severe injury or death. AF1 Motorsports
urges operators and occupants to wear a helmet and appropriate riding gear at
all times. By purchasing and installing AF1 Motorsports products, user agrees
that should damages occur, AF1 Motorsports will not be held responsible for
loss of time, use, labor fees, replacement parts, or freight charges. AF1
Motorsports, nor any 3rd party, will not be held responsible for any direct,
indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages that result from any
product purchased from AF1 Motorsports. The total liability of seller to user
for all damages, losses, and causes of action, if any, shall not exceed the
total purchase price paid for the product that gave rise to the claim. AF1
Motorsports will warranty only parts provided by AF1 Motorsports. Any damage
or problems with OEM housings, bearings, seals, or other manufacturers’
products will not be covered by AF1 Motorsports. AF1 Motorsports parts and
products are not warrantied if item was not installed properly, misused, or
modified.
