Safety information

Warning

  • A professional doctor should always explain the measured value of your temperature.

  • The thermometer is intended for measuring body temperature only.

  • Do not use mobile phones around the thermometer.

  • Do not use equipment that generates electromagnetic fields near the thermometer.

  • Do not disassemble or repair the thermometer yourself. Do not bend or stretch the
    thermometer. Do not impact or drop the product.

  • Do not use the thermometer as a tool to diagnose disease. It cannot be used for emergency and continuous measurement in surgery.

  • Keep the thermometer away from children. Children under 12 years old should have their temperature taken with the help of an adult.

  • The user cannot diagnose a disease themselves and get treatment on the base of the measurement result. The user must always consult with a doctor.

  • Children under 12 years of age and persons who cannot express their thoughts are prohibited from using the thermometer.

  • Do not use the thermometer for people who suffer from otitis external, tympanitis or other ear diseases. It is possible that it can worsen the affected area.

  • A Use of this thermometer should not be considered as a substitute for consultation with your physician.

  • Do not touch the probe with your hands or blow on it. This may damage the sensor and result in faulty measuring.

  • Keep away from air condition when measuring body temperature.

  • Always clean the thermometer after each use (see “Cleaning and maintenance”). Do not use toilet paper or facial tissue to clean the infrared sensor. It might get scratched and result in incorrect measuring.

  • Keep the thermometer away from water. If it gets in contact with water, let it dry fully before next use.
    Caution

  • Do not use the thermometer after taking a bath or swimming if your ears are wet.

  • Stop using the thermometer if it causes an allergic reaction.

  • Take the batteries out of the thermometer if not using it for a long period of time. Always dispose the batteries according to local regulations.

Use

Insert battery
Press the battery cover to open it. The cover will bounce back. Insert 2x AAA batteries. Mind the polarity.
When the display shows LO, the battery should be replaced.

Ear temperature measuring

  1. Press the Power button to turn on the thermometer.
    The display shows the last measured value .

  2. Press the Temperature button and put the thermometer in the ear.

  3. The measurement result appears after about 1 second
    when the thermometer emits a beep.

  4. Press the Memory button if you want to save the measurement.

  5. Wait for 30 seconds or press the Power button to turn the thermometer off.

Forehead temperature measuring

  1. Place the forehead cover over the probe.

  2. Press the Power button to turn on the thermometer.
    The display shows the last measured value.

  3. Press the Temperature button and place the thermometer on the forehead. Keep a distance of 0-5 mm from the forehead.

  4. The measurement result appears after about 1 second
    when the thermometer emits a beep.

  5. Press the Memory button if you want to save the measurement.

  6. Wait for 30 seconds or press the Power button to turn the thermometer off.

Sound
Press the Memory button when the thermometer is turned on to turn the sound on or off. When the sound symbol appears on the display, the sound is on.

Change temperature unit
Press and hold the Memory button for 6 seconds when the thermometer is turned off. °C and °Fare flashing. Press the Memory button again to switch between the units. Wait for 8 seconds or press the Power button to save and turn off the thermometer again.

Memory storage
Press the Memory button when the thermometer is turned off to view your saved measurements. Press again to navigate through the memory storage.

The backlight changes colours after measurement to indicate the result:

Cleaning and maintenance

Clean the thermometer after each use. Dip a cotton swab in disinfectant with 75% alcohol and wipe the probe to remove dirt and residue. Clean it at least for 5 seconds. Clean the rest of the thermometer with a soft, dry cloth for at least 10 seconds.
Wait about 10 minutes before measuring again after cleaning.
