Use
Battery
Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the device and insert the
battery. Mind the polarity, with the plus side facing up. Remove the battery
from the hearing aid if it’s not going to be used for long periods of time.
Note! It is recommended to use zinc air batteries with the hearing aid.
Inserting the hearing aid
Make sure the power switch is set to “0” (off) and the volume wheel is set to
“1” before inserting the hearing aid into your ear. Rotate the earpiece to
make it fit the ear you want the hearing aid to amplify. Place the ear hook
behind and around your ear and push the earpiece getly into your ear canal.
Make sure the earpiece is inserted securely into your ear. If it isn’t
inserted properly you may experience a feedback loop with a whistling sound.
You can change the size of the ear piece if you need to, three sizes are
included in the package.
Power on/off
Set the power switch to “N” (on) to turn on the hearing aid. Raise the volume
by turning the volume wheel slowly until the sounds around you can be heard
more clearly. The volume wheel has 4 setting where 1 is the lowest and 4 is
the loudest.
Maintenance
Cleaning
It is recommended to clean the hearing aid daily. Gently clean the inside
of the earpiece using a cotton stick or toothpick to clear it from wax. Clean
the outside of the hearing aid using a soft cloth or tissue.
Safety information
Warning! This device should not be used by children younger than 3 years
old. Do not use the hearing aid if you are suffering of tympaniítis or ear
pyogenesis, chronic Suppurative otitis media or congenital ear atresia. Do not
use the hearing aid at high volume for long periods of time as there is a high
risk of ear injuries. Stop using the hearing aid immediately if you feel
discomfort in your ear. Exhausted and depleted batteries are to be removed and
replaced by correct type of batteries. Dispose of used batteries according to
the local regulations. Never attempt to disassemble the product. Repairs
should only be performed by a qualified technician. By repairing it yourself
there is a risk of short circuit. Keep the device away from moisture, water,
high temperatures, direct and strong sunlight. Keep the device away from
strong magnets. Do not use the hearing aid whilst talking in a mobile phone.
The device fulfils the provisions of the EC directive 93/42/EEC (Medical
Device Directive) and the Harmonize Standard as IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-2-66,
EC 60118-7, IEC 60118-13, EN ISO 10993-1/-5/-10 and EN ISO 14971
