OPERATION

  1. Screw the paint container and air hose firmly on the spray gun.
  2. Suitable air pressure depends on the viscosity of the paint and the type of work. 3 to 3.5 bar is suitable for most applications.
  3. A suitable distance between the spray gun and the workpiece is 15-20 cm. Inappropriate distance and spray patterns produce inferior results.
  4. Adjust the paint flow and air flow knobs.

MAINTENANCE

  1. Steep the paint gun body in clean solvent and brush it clean.
  2. Dismantle the air cap and paint nozzle, dip them in solvent and brush them clean.
  3. Be careful not to damage the holes in the nozzles.
  4. Spray some solvent through the spray gun to clean the paint ducts.
  5. Adjust the needle seal while you squeeze the trigger and check how the paint needle moves. Do not over-tighten.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Fault Possible cause Action

Uneven coating
| 1. A worn needle seal means that air is leaking into the paint duct.
2. The paint connection is loose or damaged.
3. The paint container’s nut is loose, allowing air to leak in.| 1. Replace the O-ring or tighten the seal screw.
2. Tighten or replace.
3. Tighten.
Thicker on the sides, thinner in the middle| 1. The air cap’s square holes are partially clogged.
2. Solid containments in the upper part of the paint nozzle.| 1. Clean the hole. Do not use metal wire or hard objects.
Pattern| 1. The air cap’s square holes are partially clogged.| 1. Clean the hole.
Thicker in the middle| 1. Too high air pressure by the air cap’s square holes.
2. Paint viscosity too low.| 1. Lower the air pressure.
2. Adjust the viscosity of the paint.
---|---|---
Thick coating| 1. The gap between the outside of the paint nozzle and the air cap is too big due to wear.
2. Too low air pressure by the air cap’s square holes.
3. Paint viscosity too high.| 1. Replace.
2. Increase the air pressure.
3. Adjust the viscosity of the paint.
