APPLICATION

This product requires installation by a professional. Due to their special design, speakers require careful handling. All speakers should be run in before normal use. During the first 15 to 20 hours of operation, the sound system should be used at maximum 50% capacity. It is then that the factory rated characteristics and sound quality can be achieved.

CROSSOVER
Connect only such a frequency band to the speaker that it can play. It is your responsibility to provide for the incorporation of an appropriate cross-over. When selecting it,  make sure to take into account the speaker and amplifier specifications.

AMPLIFIER

Use only an amplifier of the appropriate quality and power! When the volume is increased, amplifiers of lower power may produce significant distortion, which may damage the speaker. Excessive power can also overload and cause damage to the speaker. This is a typical sign of unprofessional and improper use! Make sure that the impedance and power specifications of the amplifier and the speaker are appropriate for their connection. The peak power of the speaker should be at least 50% higher than the peak output power of the amplifier. Note that the output power indicated on the amplifier is always meant with the equalizers turned off. Depending on the equalizer setting, the speaker load may be several times higher at a certain frequency, which may damage the speaker. For this reason, it is recommended to oversize the capacity of the speaker.

PUTTING INTO USE

Take utmost care of the correct +/- polarity, and connect the speaker cord. (The connector with (+) polarity is marked.) During this time, make sure that the amplifier is turned off. The recommended cross-sectional dimensions of the cable should be at least 2 x 0.5… 0.75 mm². Before switching on for the first time, check the entire sound system for proper connection and that the volume control is in the minimum position. In order to avoid knocking of the speakers, do not make any cable connections during operation. Never switch on the system at high volume settings. The sudden noise possibly occurring may immediately damage your speakers. Should any indicative sign (strange smell, distorted sound, …) arise, immediately switch off the amplifier! By doing so, you can often prevent damages to the speakers. Malfunction due to overload attributable to the improper or unprofessional use of the speaker will not be covered by warranty or guarantee.

CLEANING
Before cleaning, disconnect the amplifier. Use a soft, dry cleaning cloth. Avoid the use of any aggressive detergents and liquids.

MAINTENANCE

From time to time, check if the sound is free of distortion and that the wires are connected firmly, free of short circuit.
In case of a malfunction, stop using the appliance and contact a specialist.
