IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE USE AND RETAIN IT FOR LATER REFERENCE!

WARNINGS

  1. Before the use of the product, please read this instructions manual and keep it for future reference.
The original document was prepared in the Hungarian language. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years or above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have been given instructions concerning the use of the appliance and understand the hazards involved. Children may not play with the appliance. Children may perform the cleaning or user maintenance of the appliance subject to supervision. After removal of the packaging, inspect the product for possible damage during shipment. Keep the packaging away from children if it contains plastic bags or other potentially hazardous items.

  2. Before using the appliance, consult a specialist, if necessary, to avoid damaging either the appliance or any connected devices.

  3. Check that the supplied DC voltage is indeed 12 Volts and whether the equipment to be operated requires 230 Volts AC.

  4. You can operate multiple mains powered devices at the same time by using a power strip connected to the inverter. To prevent overloading, do not exceed  the specified maximum load.
Check this on the factory plates of the devices.

  5. Make sure to connect the 12 V power supply observing the specified polarity. (Red: positive +, Black: negative -)

  6. The connections must be stable and free of short circuit.

  7. Avoid connecting or disconnecting cables during use.

  8. Prevent foreign objects from entering the device through its openings.

  9. Do not cover the appliance. When installing, ensure free air circulation around it.

  10. To ensure efficient cooling, leave a distance of about 20 cm behind the fan.

  11. It may cause the failure of the inverter if you turn it off while the connected equipment is operating.

  12. It may cause the failure of the inverter if you turn it on with the connected equipment already turned on.

  13. When out of use, turn off the appliance and disconnect it from the circuit. Do not leave the appliance connected to the vehicle (battery) circuit.

  14. Before use for extended periods of time and/or operation of any high-load equipment, it is recommended to let the vehicle engine run, in order to prevent the battery from running out. A battery with a lower rating (50-60Ah) can run out in as short as 20 to 25 minutes without charging if the inverter is operated at its rated capacity.

  15. If, for example, you want to operate a device with a power consumption of 100W, you have to provide 100/10=10A. You can supply the higher power requirement of a larger consumer by providing a battery of larger capacity or connecting several batteries in parallel. It is extremely important to use cables with sufficiently large cross-sections that are as short as possible.

  16. It is recommended to connect batteries (a battery pack) with a total capacity of at least 150Ah.

  17. Never connect the inverter input to a battery charger or any other power supply.

  18. Do not switch the inverter on and off frequently, as this may shorten its service life.

  19. In some cases, the appliance may interfere with the picture quality of televisions. Turn the inverter in another direction or place it further away from the antenna and antenna wire.

  20. It is forbidden to connect the output voltage with the mains voltage.

  21. Do not operate the appliance unattended and keep it out of the reach of children.

  22. When routing the connecting cables, make sure that their insulation is not damaged.

  23. In case of a malfunction, immediately disconnect the appliance and contact a specialist.

  24. Protect the device from dust, humidity, liquids, high temperatures, moisture, frost, and shocks, as well as from direct heat and sunlight.

  25. Do not disassemble or alter the device, as it may cause fire, accidents, or electric shock.

  26. With consideration to the presence of supply voltage, observe the general rules of contact protection. Do not touch the device or the connecting cable with wet hands.

  27. The output voltage of the appliance may cause electric shock, fire, or accidents.

  28. If the main cord is damaged, disconnect the appliance immediately.

  29. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as a glass on the appliance.

  30. Do not place sources of open flames, such as candles on the device.

  31. Warm environments may cause the automation to disconnect more frequently, even at lower loads.

  32. The appliance is intended for use in a dry environment.

  33. This product is for commercial use, it is not intended for industrial-professional applications.

  34. After the useful life of the product, it is to be considered hazardous waste. Dispose of the product according to local legislation.

  35. Incorrect installation or unprofessional use will void the product warranty.

  36. Due to continuous development, the technical specifications and design of this product may change without prior notice. The most recent instructions manual is available for download from www.somogyi.hu website.

  37. However, we regret such inconvenience, we do not take any responsibility for possible printing errors.

CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the unit or its accessories. In case any part is damaged, immediately power off the unit and seek the assistance of a  specialist.
