P30 Floor Mounted Column
Translation
This manual is part of the product and must be read and understood before
installation and initial use. The manual is to be kept safe for the entire
life of the product.
The aluminum floor-mounted column is used for the free-standing installation
of suitable charging stations in indoor or outdoor areas. Suitability must be
checked using the installation manual of the respective charging station. The
V1 floor-mounted column is designed for the installation of one charging
station and the V2 floormounted column for the installation of two charging
stations.
This manual describes the installation of the floor-mounted column and is a
supplement to the installation manual of the charging station used. The
instructions contained in this manual must be followed precisely. Failure to
do so could result in the creation of potential sources of danger or the
disabling of safety devices. Apart from the safety instructions given in this
manual, the safety precautions and accident prevention measures appropriate to
the situation in question must also be observed.
Target group: Qualified personnel (persons who, due to their special training,
expertise and experience as well as knowledge of current standards, are able
to assess the work performed and the possible hazards.)
Safety notes
WARNING!
Risk of death due to electric shock and fire hazard!
- All safety notes, instructions and location requirements from the installation manual of the respective charging station must be observed!
- The V2 floor-mounted column must always be fitted with two charging stations. The cable openings of the floor-mounted column must not remain open.
- Do not route the supply line under tension. Sufficient excess cable length must be ensured.
- Do not modify, mechanically process or damage the floor-mounted column. Damaged parts of the floormounted column must be replaced or repaired immediately.
- Do not use the floor-mounted column, charging station or plug holder as a climbing aid under any circumstances.
- When mounting the floor-mounted column in parking spaces or parking garages, appropriate anti-collision protection must be provided by the customer.
- To ensure that the charging station can be operated ergonomically, do not install the floor-mounted column on a raised pedestal.
- The floor-mounted column must be installed on a suitable concrete foundation (e.g. asphalt is not permitted)!
- Depending on the local conditions, the floor-mounted column should be integrated into a lightning protection concept; this lies in the scope of responsibility of the project developer.
Concrete foundation
The calculation, design and manufacture of the concrete foundation lies in the scope of responsibility of the project developer. A level and load-bearing subsurface is required for the installation. To ensure safe and permanent anchoring, we recommended executing the concrete foundation as follows:
- Length: 65 cm / Width: 50 cm
- Depth: At least frost line (frost-proof foundation); recommended > 40 cm
- Concrete: C30/37 LP for XC4, XD1, XF4 or C25/30 LP for XC4, XD1, XF2
- Reinforcing steel: BSt 500 S; BSt 500 M
- The subsurface must permit the running off of any water that has entered the pedestal.
- Do not glue the floor plate of the floor-mounted column using silicone or other waterproofing materials, as drainage through the concrete foundation must be ensured.
- All cables must be routed from the floor precisely in the center of the concrete foundation and have an excess length of approx. 1.5 m for the remaining installation activities.
- During the production of the concrete foundation, all cables must be protected against damage using appropriate measures (e.g. a protective tube). The protective tube must have an excess length of approx. 25 cm above the concrete foundation.
- The supply line and data lines must be routed separately from each other.
Installing the floor-mounted column
The respective national regulations must be observed with regard to the
installation of the floor-mounted column.
For anchoring the floor-mounted column to the concrete foundation, the
following materials are included in the delivery:
- 6 pcs. M8x25 hexagonal screws + M8 washers (stainless steel)
- 6 pcs. M8x30 compact dowels (stainless steel)
Specification of anchor points:
Recommended load tension N
(uncracked concrete): 4 kN
Required clearance: 10.5 cm
Drill-hole depth: 33 mm
Transverse distortion V per dowel
(uncracked concrete): 4.9 kN
Drill-hole diameter: 10 mm
Tightening torque: 8 Nm

► The V2 floor-mounted column must always be fitted with two charging
stations.| 1+2
► Mark the 6 holes on the concrete foundation using the floor plate of the
column. The connection cables must be centered in the opening of the floor
plate here.| 3
► Drill the 6 mounting holes.| 4
► Hammer in the 6 dowels so that they are flush with the floor.| 5
► Run the cables through the floor plate of the column.
Optional: Connect an equipotential bonding cable to the floor plate and route
an additional cable from the floor plate to the upper area of the column.| 6
► Run the connection cables to the required cable opening from the bottom
through the horizontal column. Optional: Connect the equipotential bonding
cable to the equipotential bonding point in the upper area of the column.| 7
► Fasten the floor plate to the column using 4 screws.| 8
► Set up the column and fasten it to the concrete foundation using the 6
screws.| 9
► Install the charging station to the corresponding mounting points on the
floor-mounted column using the included screws. Select mounting variant A or B
depending on the charging station.| 10
► Have the electrical connection and commissioning performed by a qualified
electrician in accordance with the installation manual of the charging
station. The supply line must be secured using the included cable gland or a
cable gland suitable for the cable diameter used (strain relief).| 11
► Mount the cover of the floor-mounted column using 4 screws.| 12
► For charging stations without an integrated plug holder, the supplied plug
holder must be installed on the side of the floor-mounted column using 2
screws. Join the cable hanger with the plug holder for this purpose.| 13+14
