  • Do not install or use this unit if any part is damaged or missing.
  • WARNING! To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use it with any additional solid state fan speed control device, or any additional variable speed control.

NOTICE:

  1. This control is designed to operate only one ceiling fan and accessory light kit.
  2. This wall control is rated for a maximum (ceiling fan only) of 1.0 motor amp at 120 volts, and total lamp wattage equaling 80 Watt maximum.
  3. Make sure no bare wires are exposed outside of the connectors.
  4. All wiring must conform to National and Local Electrical Codes. If you feel  that you do not have enough electrical wiring knowledge or experience, have your fan control installed by a licensed electrician. Any electrical work not described in this manual should be performed by a licensed electrician.
  5. Use of this control with some ceiling fans could result in fire, shock, and serious personal injury. Use this fan control only with capacitor speed controlled ceiling fans only

MAKING THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS:

NOTE: Installation of this control requires that the three-conductor cable with ground wire be run between the control wall box and the ceiling fan outlet.

  1. If your ceiling fan is equipped with variable speed and light ON/OFF pull chain switch controls, make sure to set the speed control at the highest speed and the light to the ON position before installing the wall control. This will avoid erratic speeds and possible damage to your ceiling fan.
  2. Verify proper operation of the ceiling fan wall control before installation. Improper wiring can damage the control and will void the warranty.
  3. Disconnect power to the ceiling fan at the main electric panel. Remove the fuse or switch the circuit breaker to the OFF position.
  4. Remove the wallplate to expose the wiring and disconnect the existing switch. Install the control in a metal or plastic wall box.
  5. Make electrical connections as follows:
  • Connect the black wire marked with “TO MOTOR L” from the wall control to the BLACK wire from the fan.
  • Connect the BLUE wire from the wall control to the RED or BLUE wire from the fan.
  • Connect the black wire marked with “AC IN L” from the wall control to the 120v AC HOT wire.
  • Use the wire connectors provided to secure the connections.
  • Connect the GREEN/Ground wire from wall control to the grounding wire from wall box.

NOTE: Refer to the diagram on the back of the wall control.

  1. Secure the wall control to the wall box using the two 6-32” x 1-1/8” screws provided.
  2. Press the wallplate onto the wall control with an appropriate force.
