WEN 9500-Watt Dual Fuel Portable Generator

WARNING: This Quick Start Guide is not a substitute for reading the operator’s manual. To reduce the risk of injury or death, user must read and understand operator’s manual before using this product.
TOOLS YOU WILL NEED

| Fresh clean unleaded gasoline (not included)

| Funnel (included)
| 4-stroke engine oil (included)

BEFORE STARTING

1. Install feet and wheels.

2. Add engine oil.
   a. Remove oil dipstick. b. Using the supplied 4-cycle engine oil and funnel, slowly add engine oil to the engine until full. c. Do not overfill. If oil level is too high, oil will drain out through the fill plug.

3. Add unleaded gasoline to gas tank.
   a. Unscrew gas cap on top of tank
   b. Slowly add gasoline into the fuel tank. The gasoline level should NOT be higher than the red maximum fill ring.
   c. Secure gas cap

4. Hook up LPG tank.
   a. Connect included LPG hose to standard LPG tank and hand tighten.
   b. Connect other end of LPG hose to generator and hand tighten.
   c. Test connections with soapy water to make sure there are no leaks.

DANGER

Using a generator indoors
CAN KILL YOU IN MINUTES.
Generator exhaust contains carbon monoxide.
This is a poison you cannot see or smell.
NEVER use inside a home or garage,
EVEN IF doors and windows are open.| Only use OUTSIDE and far away from
windows, doors, and vents.
Avoid other generator hazards.
READ MANUAL BEFORE USE.

STARTING PROCEDURE

1. Make sure all loads are disconnected from the generator.

2. Select the fuel source.

3. Put the engine run/stop switch in the RUN (I) position.
   4a. Remote Start: Push and hold the START button on the remote start key fob for one second.
   4b. Push-button Start: Push and hold the engine START/STOP button for two seconds.
   4c. Firmly grasp and pull the recoil handle slowly until you feel increased resistance. At this point, apply a rapid pull while pulling out from the inverter.

4. Connect loads to the control panel receptacles.

SHUTDOWN PROCEDURE

1. Make sure all loads are disconnected from the generator
2. Put the engine run/stop switch in the OFF position (O)

NOTE: This unit has a GASOLINE OFF setting that can be used before storing the unit for long periods of time. Refer to the user manual for details.

MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

Following the maintenance schedule is important to keep the inverter in good operating condition. The following is a summary of maintenance items by periodic maintenance intervals. Refer to the Maintenance section in the Owners Manual to find out how to properly perform maintenance.

1. Change oil every month when operating under heavy load or in high temperatures.
2. Clean more often under dirty or dusty conditions.
3. Recommended service by authorized Westinghouse dealer.

OIL
Only use 4-stroke/cycle engine oil. NEVER USE 2-STROKE/CYCLE OIL. Synthetic oil is an acceptable substitute for conventional oil. SPARK PLUG REPLACEMENT
