Product Information
The Westinghouse Outdoor Lighting Fixture comes with a warranty of five years from the purchase date and is designed to provide beauty and service for years. The fixture is not covered under acts of nature such as lightning damage, corrosion, and discoloration of components, damages caused through abuse, improper installation, surges in electric current, or acts of third parties. The product does not cover the costs of removing and reinstalling the lighting fixture. For any product failure covered under warranty, please contact Westinghouse Lighting through their website.
Product Usage Instructions
- Unpack the fixture and parts carefully, making sure all parts are included before discarding any packing materials (see figure 1).
- Read and follow the instructions carefully to avoid electrical shock, which can result in serious injury. If the instructions are unclear, do not proceed and contact a qualified electrician.
- Proper wiring is essential for the safe operation of this fixture. When cutting or drilling into walls or ceilings, do not damage electrical wiring, gas lines, or water lines. If any of the fixture or wiring components are damaged, do not install the fixture and return it to the place of purchase.
- For fixtures labeled for outdoor and wet location use, provide a water-tight seal between the fixture and the mounting surface by using silicone or similar caulking.
- Turn off power at the circuit box to avoid possible electric shock.
- Thread mounting screws (A) into crossbar (B) with mounting screws protruding away from outlet box (C) (see figure 1).
- Secure crossbar (B) to outlet box (C) with outlet box screws (D) (if applicable).
- Identify the color coding of fixture wires (see Figure 2).
- Connect the black wire from the fixture with the black wire (live wire) from the outlet box (C) by wire connector (E), and wrap the wire connector (E) with electrical tape for a more secure connection.
- Connect the white wire from the fixture with the white wire (neutral wire) from the outlet box (C) by wire connector (E), and wrap the wire connector (E) with electrical tape for a more secure connection.
- Partially thread green grounding screw (F) into side hole (G) of the crossbar (B) (see figure 1).
- Wrap grounding wire from fixture around green grounding screw stem (F) leaving enough excess.
- Tighten the green grounding screw (F).
- Attach backplate (H) to the crossbar (B) using cap nuts (I).
- Place the rubber washer (K) between the fixture and backplate (H).
- Secure fixture to backplate using cap nuts (I).
FIXTURE WARRANTY
- This Westinghouse lighting fixture is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of five years from the purchase date. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied.
- This warranty does not cover acts of nature such as lightening damage, or corrosion and discoloration of components, nor does it cover damages caused through abuse, improper installation, surges in electric current, or acts of third parties.
- This warranty does not cover the costs of removing and re-installing the lighting fixture.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR OUTDOOR LIGHTING FIXTURE
Congratulations on your Westinghouse purchase. This fixture has been designed
to give you many years of beauty and service. For questions and comments,

NOTE : Carefully unpack fixtures and parts. Make sure all parts are
included before discarding any pack-ing materials (see figure 1).
WARNING: ELECTRICAL SHOCK CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY.
Read and follow instructions exactly as shown. If instructions are unclear, do
not proceed. Contact a qualified electrician. Read all instructions before
beginning. Proper wiring is essential for the safe operation of this fixture.
When cutting or drilling into walls or ceilings, do not damage electrical
wiring, gas lines, or water lines. If any of the fixture or wiring components
are damaged, do not install the fixture. Return to the place of purchase.
For fixtures provided with 75° C or 90° C supply wire warning only. (These
warnings are provided on the U.L. label and on the fixture carton.) Risk of
fire. Most dwellings built before 1985 have supply wires rated 60° C. Consult
a qualified electrician before installing.
MOUNTING AND WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE : Underwriters Laboratories (UL) does not require all fixtures to
have ground wires. These fixtures meet all UL specifications.
CAUTION : For fixtures labeled for outdoor and wet location use, provide
a water-tight seal between the fixture and the mounting surface by using
silicone or similar caulking.
- Turn off the power at the circuit box to avoid possible electric shock.
- Thread mounting screws (A) into a crossbar (B) with mounting screws protruding away from outlet box (C) (see figure 1).
- Secure cross bar (B) to outlet box (C) with outlet box screws (D) (if applicable).
- Identify color coding of fixture wires (see Figure 2).
- Connect the black wire from the fixture with the black wire (live wire) from the outlet box (C) by wire connector (E), and wrap the wire connector (E) with electrical tape for a more secure connection.
- Connect the white wire from the fixture with the white wire (neutral wire) from the outlet box (C) by wire connector (E), and wrap the wire connector (E) with electrical tape for a more secure connection.
- Partially thread green grounding screw (F) into side hole (G) of the crossbar (B) (see figure 1).
- Wrap the grounding wire from the fixture around the green grounding screw stem (F) leaving enough excess wire, then connect the excess grounding wire from the fixture with the grounding wire from outlet box (C) by wire connector (E) (if applicable), then wrap the wire connector (E) with electrical tape for a more secure connection.
- Tighten grounding screw (F). Do not over-tighten.
- Tuck wires inside outlet box (C).
FIXTURE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
- Place back plate (H) over mounting screws (A).
- Secure into place with cap nuts (I) and rubber washer (K).
- Install lamp(s). Do not exceed the recommended wattage.
- Turn on the power at the circuit box.
MOTION SENSOR OPERATION
- There are 2 switches to set up the fixture: Sensitivity and Timer.
- Sensitivity: Three sensitivity distance range settings (H, M,L). The highest setting is 30FT/9M. Medium is 20FT/6M and the lowest at 10FT/3M.
- Sensing angle 220 degrees +0/-20 degrees.
- Timer: In the Dusk to Dawn mode: the fixture will turn on after the sun has set and switch off when the sun rises.
- Timer Switch positions: 2 minutes and 6 minutes. During nighttime, any movement within the coverage area, will cause the light to turn on. After movement has stopped, the light will remain on for the preset time limit (2 or 6 minutes).
- Test mode will allow you to select the preferred sensitivity level. After selecting the desired level. Walk through the coverage area. When the light turns on, note your distance from the fixture. Try different approaches toward the fixture from various angles. Try pathways where you expect high traffic, such as walkways and driveways. Wait 5 seconds before changing to the next level for testing
WARNING
Turn off the electricity to the mounting site before beginning installation. Mounting instructions must be followed exactly as shown for the fixture to be safely supported.
CLEANING AND CARE
To clean, wipe the fixture with a soft cloth. Clean glass with mild soap. Spraying from chemical cleaners can discolor the finish of the fixture. Do not use scouring pads, powders, steel wool or abrasive paper to clean this fixture.

Keep this manual for future reference, and in case replacement parts are
needed. Available parts can be ordered from the place of purchase. Use exact
wording from diagrams when ordering parts.
