  • This kettle is not intended to be used by persons (including children under 8 years) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction regarding the use of the kettle by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Close supervision is required when this kettle is used by or near children. Ensure they do not play with the appliance.

  • This kettle is intended to be used in households and similar applications such as:
  • Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments.

  • Do not fill above the ‘MAX’ indicator otherwise water may overflow when heating.
  • Do not operate the kettle if the amount of water is below the minimum level.
  • To prevent damage to the appliance, do not use alkaline cleaning agents. A soft cloth and mild detergent should be used when cleaning.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
  • Electrical appliances are not to be disposed of with domestic household waste. Consumers should take electrical appliances to waste disposal points for the correct disposal.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Fill the kettle to the ‘MAX’ indicator with fresh water and boil the water before discarding it to remove any impurities or dust. Repeat this process twice.
Do not drink this water.

OPERATION

  1. Pull up the handle on the lid to open. Remove the kettle from the base.
  2. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water, ensuring that it is no lower than the minimum level and no higher than the ‘MAX’ indicator. Secure the lid and place the kettle onto the base.
  3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet and turn on the switch. The temperature display should light up. Press the power button on the LED display once to put the kettle into heating mode. The kettle will begin boiling the water.
    • If you press the power button on the LED display again, the kettle will enter the keep warm mode.
    • Pressing the power button a third time will turn the kettle off. The temperature display will also disappear.

Brewing tea

  1. Heat the water to the desired temperature then open the lid.
  2. Pour the tea leaves into the tea infuser then close and lid.
  3. When the appropriate steeping time has passed, turn the kettle off and turn off the power at the wall outlet. The tea is now ready to drink.

Adjusting the temperature
This kettle can be adjusted to heat or keep water warm at temperatures between 50°C–95°C.
To adjust the temperature, press the increase or decrease buttons on the LED display. Each press will adjust the temperature by 5°C.

Heating mode
In this mode, water will heat up to the desired temperature. The temperature display will show the temperature of the water and the heating mode indicator will be illuminated.

Note:
The default temperature in this mode is 100°C.

Keep warm mode
In this mode, after heating, the kettle will keep water at the desired temperature and the keep warm indicator will be illuminated. The kettle will then automatically switch on/off to maintain the water’s temperature.
After 2 hours, the keep warm mode will automatically switch off.

Note:
The default temperature in this mode is 70°C.

CLEANING & CARE

The kettle should be cleaned regularly to remove any mineral deposits and to prolong its service life.
Ensure the kettle is unplugged and allowed to cool before cleaning.

Kettle

  1. Fill the kettle with 500ml of white vinegar and then fill it to the top with water. Allow to stand for at least 1 hour.
  2. Empty the kettle. Wipe off any remaining deposits with a damp cloth.
  3. Fill the kettle with fresh water. Bring to the boil, then discard the water. Repeat this process once more. The kettle will then be ready to use.

Note:
If necessary, repeat the cleaning process multiple times.

Tea infuser and exterior
Clean the tea infuser with a soft cloth and soapy water/mild detergent.
Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth and mild detergent, then wipe dry with a dry cloth.

Note

  • Do not use chemicals, steel wool, or other abrasive cleaners to clean the exterior as these will scratch the surface and cause the colour to fade.
  • Do not use alkaline cleaning agents when cleaning.

Scale filter
Grasp the top of the scale filter and pull upwards to remove it. Wash with water then dry thoroughly with a cloth before attaching it back on the kettle.
