Safety instructions
Lifting and transporting a client always involves risks. It is therefore
important that you carefully read the user manual for both the lift and the
sling. Make sure that the lift you are using is suitable for the intended use.
As a caregiver, you are responsible for the client’s safety and you need to
know whether the client is able to
handle the lifting process. The sling must meet the client’s needs. If you are
in any doubt, we recommend that you contact the distributer.
· Visually inspect the sling each time before use.
· Check that the correct sling is used for the
client. The model, size and material must be appropriate to the client’s
needs.
· Plan the transfer and lifting process so that it can be carried out as
safely as possible.
· Before actually lifting the client, check that the sling is correctly
attached to the hanger bar at the time when the clips are under tension.
· It is important that the clips are correctly attached: Apply the clip
through the large hole (photo 1) and then pull it to the small hole. The dark
grey parts automatically secure the clip attachment (photos 2 and 3). You can
hear an audible click when the clip is secured.
· Check that the client is safely seated in the sling before you start
lifting.
· Check that the lift is balanced while moving and raising/lowering the
client.
· Never leave a client unattended while in the lift.
· Our slings are designed and tested for indoor use by one client at a time
and can only be used for lifting one person. The lift is not a swing.
· The sling must not come into contact with sharp objects.

General description/Intended use
The Human Care Full Body Sling E-clip has been designed for lifting people who
need full body support. The sling can also effectively be used when lifting a
person from the floor due to the integrated headrest. The sling positions the
client into a reclining position, reducing the pressure on the client’s legs.
The Full Body Sling
E-clip Soft has a padded head support. The Full Body Sling In-Situ E-clip has
removable stiffeners in case the sling stays behind the client. By
removing the stiffeners, the head support is flexible and can be folded away.
The stiffeners need to be in place in their pockets during a
transfer for an adequate head support.

bed for a short period of time. An additional advantage is that the sling is
very suitable for showering and bathing.
With its oval shape, the Columbus Sling provides comfortable support to the
head, torso, thighs and also the sitting area, allowing the client to feel
safe and secure. This sling is ideally suitable for clients with limited body
stability and/or different center of gravity due to, for example, an
amputation or wearing a corset. The sling has a sewn-in seat, which means that
the client sits on the sling and the leg straps are removed. This gives the
client an optimal feeling of being cocooned, which can promote safety
due to various factors.
The slings are designed for a four-point suspension from a 4-point hanger bar
and are available in 2 materials.
Polyester net flexible and airy A soft and thin material that breathes and
dries quickly. It has light elastic properties and shapes itself to the
client’s body. It is the most commonly used sling for short transfers. The

This material is a lightweight, cool, soft and breathable mesh fabric. It is
made of a moisture-wicking fabric, that pulls moisture away from the skin
through the fabric
where it can evaporate quickly. The material helps to control body
temperature. Another advantage of this material is that is it anti-bacterial,
which means that it is easier to maintain better hygiene. Furthermore, the
material doesn’t smell, even with intensive use.
The “two-way stretch” material hugs the body like a second skin. It is
therefore particularly suitable for clients with sensitive skin. The material
also absorbs involuntary movements, making it suitable for clients with muscle
spasms. A sling made of this material can stay in place behind the client in a
(modulated) chair or bed for a longer period of time.

Human Care is an ISO 13485:2016 certified Swedish medical device company. The
Quality Management System is in complaince with US 21 CFR part 820. The sling
has been tested in accordance with ISO 10535.
The sling has a CE marking in accordance with the Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC and/or Medical Device Regulation (EU) 2017/745). The CE mark label is at the sling mark label.

Attachment options
Our slings are designed in the knowledge
that people are all different, with a variety of requirements, needs and
wishes with regard to lifting.
The mechanism and design of a sling must be such that it prevents human
mistakes as much as possible. With this in mind, the universal safety clip has
been developed. It is shown that many of the accidents that involve lifts are
caused by incorrect attachment of the sling to the hanger bar or boom. The
safety clip is an important addition because it greatly reduces the likelihood
of errors.
The clip is placed around the snap hooks of the hanger bar and closes with an
audible ‘click’.
It is a signal to the caregiver that the clip is securely attached and cannot
unexpectedly become loose. The clip has a built-in lock to prevent this from
happening. Releasing the clip can be done very easily with one hand. The
safety clip is universal and can be used on all types of lifts fitted with
mushroom shaped hooks with a diameter ranging between 6.8 and 8.2 mm.
Slings with 4 safety clips can only be used with a 4-point hanger bar with snap hooks.

Compatibility
Human Care Group interchangeable slings are suitable for all Human Care lifts
and hanger bars. The products can also be used with products from other
suppliers, which are equipped with the same fastening method for attaching
slings to a hanger bar and lift. Due to the wide range of products available
worldwide, Human Care cannot be held responsible for any mistakes/defects that
may result from incorrect use or use of different combinations of slings,
hanger bars and lifts from other suppliers. The use of a combined system is at
the adviser’s own risk and liability.
In order to protect the safety of the client and caregiver, Human Care
recommends the following minimum instructions are followed:
1. When using slings with lifts and hanger bars made by manufacturers other
than Human Care, the combined system must be designed with the same sling
connection method for the hanger bar of mobile lifts and ceiling lifts, i.e.
strap loop slings are used with a strap loop style hanger bar, clip slings are
used with a clip style hanger bar.
2. The relevant patient lifts and slings must be CE marked in accordance with
the Medical Devices Directive, MDD 93/42/EEC and MDR 2017/745 and comply with
the standard requirements for patient lifts as set out in EN ISO 10535.
3. The caregiver must follow the instructions and recommendations set out in
the manufacturer’s manuals with regard to the use, care, client, caregiver,
cleaning and servicing of slings and lifts.
4. Different products on the assembled lift system: i.e. lift, sling, hanger
bar, scales, and other accessories, may have a different maximum safe working
load. The lowest maximum working load of all the individual products and the
system will always apply for the whole system. Always check the labels on all
individual products in the system.
5. Individual risk assessment, including practical testing of the system and
validation of the specific combination used, is required to confirm that the
size of the sling is correct for its intended use and compatible with the
width and design of the hanger bar. The combined system must be documented by
the competent prescriber.

Sling instructions
Lifting the client from a lying position, recommended for Columbus Sling
E-clip
1. Turn the client on his/her side. Position the sling so that the center of
the sling is aligned with the client’s back. Pay attention to the arrow symbol
on the product label (middle, top and outside of the sling). The lower part of
the sling must be positioned directly under the client’s coccyx. Turn the
client on his/her back and pass the sling underneath. Turn the client on
his/her back. If the bed is adjustable, it is a good idea to raise the head
end of the bed so that the client ends up in a half sitting position.
2. Pull the leg pieces of the sling between the client’s legs. Lower the
lift’s hanger bar to the client’s abdomen. Attach the clips to the hanger bar.
Attach the clips near the shoulders first, followed by the clips near the
thighs.
3. Take a moment in this position and check that all clips are securely
attached to the hanger bar. The dark grey parts are in the closed position so
that the clips are secured.
4. Continue to lift the client. It may be necessary to lower the bed
slightly. Lift the client’s legs slightly and turn him/her away from the bed.
It is possible to put your arm around the client as you move him/her to create
a greater sense of security.
When using the 4-point spreader bar, the client can be moved into any position
between a recumbent and sitting position. Using the electric 4-point spreader
bar, place the client in a sitting position when he/she is above the chair or
wheelchair or into a recumbent position if the client is above his/her bed.

5. Detaching the sling Only detach the clips when the client is fully placed
on a solid surface such as a bed or wheelchair. Make sure the hanger bar
cannot hit the client. Check that all connection points are loose before
removing the sling.
Lifting the client from a seated position 1. Pull the sling behind the
client’s back.
Pay attention to the arrow symbol on the product label (middle, top and
outside of the sling). The lower part of the sling must be positioned directly
behind the client’s coccyx.
2. Bring the leg support of the lifting strap forward. Pull up the leg
supports in between the client’s legs. Lower the hanger bar to the belly of
the client. Attach the clips to the hanger bar. Attach the clips near the
shoulders first, followed by the clips near the thighs.
3. Take a moment in this position and check that all clips are securely
attached to the hanger bar. The dark grey parts of the clips are in the closed
position so that the clips are secured.

4. Continue to lift the client. It is possible
to put your arm around the client as you
move him/her to create a greater sense of security.
When using the 4-point spreader bar, the client can be moved into any position

Troubleshooting
Description The client could slip out of the sling.
The client is not in balance when he/she is being lifted. The sling is too
small.
Action
· The sling is too large. · The lifting sling is not entirely suitable the
clips must be load
bearing at the same time. · The instructions in the individual logbook have
not been followed or a
new assessment/adjustment must be carried out. · This can be very
uncomfortable for the client. The sling could cut
into the client’s skin and/or his/her back may not be supported sufficiently.
Note: It is important that the correct sling is used for each client and that individual tests are carried out to ensure that the sling meets the client’s needs and the transfer situation.
Maintenance instructions
Wear and tear Check the sling for any signs of wear and tear. It is important
to check the fabric, outer edges, seams and E-clips before use. Damaged
lifting equipment must not be used.
Cleaning Human Care slings are intended for individual use. In order to
prevent infections or transmission of bacteria, it is important to clean the
slings properly. All lifting slings should be machine washed and dried as soon
as possible. Slings must always be cleaned after being exposed to moisture.
See the washing instructions on the sling’s label.
Periodic service A periodic service must be carried out at least every six
months. See Human Care’s periodic service checklist.
Product lifetime The product´s expected lifetime 3 years or 150-180 times
washing, if the product is used as intended and maintained according to the
manufacturer´s instructions, depending on the intensity of use and maximum
load applied during use. If the product label is no longer legible, the
product should be discarded.
Warranty and support If you need information or support, please contact your
Human Care office, www.humancaregroup.com, or distributor.
Recycling Once the product has reached the end of its life, it should be
disposed according to your country’s rules, especially for the separate
collection of electrical and electronic products.
Correct disposal helps prevent negative consequences for the environment and
human health.

Human Care slings are intended to be used by one client at a time. In order to
prevent possible transmission of infectious diseases, it is important to clean
the sling if it has become dirty or if it is used by another client.

during laundry. The stiffeners need to be
placed back in the sling before performing a transfer with a client.
Approved disinfectants
Chemical disinfection: 70% ethanol, 45% isopropanol or similar Thermal
disinfection: wash at 65°C (149°F) for at least 10 minutes1. Thermal
disinfection: Wash at 71°C (160°F) for at least 3 minutes1. Note: Add 8
minutes to both options of thermal disinfection to ensure that heat has
penetrated the fabric. Finish with a rinse cycle.1

Sicherheitshinweise
Das Anheben und Durchführen von Transfers mit Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen geht
mit gewissen Risiken einher. Daher ist es wichtig, dass Sie das Handbuch für
den Lifter und den Hebegurt sorgfältig durchlesen. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass
das zu verwendende Hebesystem innerhalb des zulässigen Nutzungsbereichs des
Lifters liegt. Als Pflegekraft sind Sie für die Sicherheit der
Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen verantwortlich und müssen entscheiden, ob diese
dem Hebevorgang gewachsen sind. Der Hebegurt muss auf die Bedürfnisse des
jeweiligen Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen abgestimmt sein. Im Zweifelsfall wird
empfohlen, sich an den Anbieter zu wenden.
· Führen Sie vor jedem Gebrauch des Hebegurts eine Sichtprüfung durch.
· Stellen Sie sicher, dass der richtige Hebegurt für den
Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen verwendet wird. Modell, Größe und Material sind
auf die Bedürfnisse des Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen abzustimmen.
· Planen Sie Transfer und Hebevorgang so, dass sie sich mit maximaler
Sicherheit durchführen lassen.
· Achten Sie vor dem Anheben des Patienten/ Pflegebedürftigen bei belasteten
Clips darauf, dass der Hebegurt korrekt am Hebebügel befestigt ist.
· Die Clips müssen unbedingt korrekt befestigt werden: Stecken Sie den Clip in
die große Öffnung (Abb. 1) und schieben Sie ihn anschließend in die kleine
Öffnung. Die dunkelgrauen Teile sichern automatisch die Clip-Befestigung (Abb.
2 und 3). Beim Einrasten ertönt ein hörbares Klickgeräusch.
· Stellen Sie vor dem Hebevorgang sicher, dass der Patient/Pflegebedürftige
sicher im Hebegurt sitzt.
· Stellen Sie auch sicher, dass der Lifter beim Anheben/Absenken des
Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen im Gleichgewicht ist.
· Lassen Sie einen Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen niemals unbeaufsichtigt im
Lifter.
· Unsere Hebegurte sind für Innenbereiche und für den Gebrauch mit jeweils
einem Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen konzipiert sowie geprüft. Dementsprechend
darf jeweils nicht mehr als eine Person angehoben werden. Das Produkt ist
keine Schaukel.
· Der Hebegurt darf nicht mit scharfen Gegenständen in Berührung kommen.

Hebegurt
Allgemeine Beschreibung/Verwendungszweck
Der Human Care Full Body Sling E-Clip wurde in erster Linie zum Anheben von
Personen konzipiert, bei denen eine vollständige Unterstützung des Körpers
erforderlich ist. Dank integrierter Kopfstütze ist mit dem Hebegurt auch ein
Anheben vom Boden möglich. Der Hebegurt bringt den Patienten/
Pflegebedürftigen in eine rückwärts geneigte Stellung, wodurch der Druck auf
die Beine des Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen abnimmt. Der Full Body Sling E-clip
Soft hat eine gepolsterte Kopfstütze. Der Ganzkörpergurt In-Situ E-Clip hat
abnehmbare Rippen für den Fall, dass der Gurt hinter dem Pflegebedürftigen
verbleibt. Durch das Entfernen der Rippen ist die Kopfstütze flexibel und kann
nach dem Transfer weggeklappt werden. Die Rippen müssen sich während des
Transfers an der vorgesehenen Stelle befinden, um eine angemessene
Kopfunterstützung zu gewährleisten.
Der Columbus Sling bietet dank seiner ovalen Form eine komfortable
Unterstützung für Kopf, Rumpf, Oberschenkel und auch für die Sitzfläche. Dem
Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen wird hiermit eine sichere Körperhaltung
ermöglicht. Dieser Hebegurt eignet sich ideal für Patienten/Pflegebedürftige
mit eingeschränkter Rumpfstabilität und/oder mit verändertem Körperschwerpunkt
durch z. B. amputierte Gliedmaßen oder das Tragen eines Korsetts. In den
Hebegurt ist eine Sitzfläche eingearbeitet, durch die der Patient/
Pflegebedürftige auf dem Hebegurt sitzen kann und Beinschlingen nicht
erforderlich sind. Der
Patient/Pflegebedürftige fühlt sich hierdurch
optimal geborgen, was sich anhand mehrerer Faktoren positiv auf die Sicherheit
auswirkt. Die Hebegurte sind für die
Vier-Punkt-Aufhängung an einem Sitz-Liegebügel konzipiert und in 2
Materialausführungen
erhältlich.
Polyesternetz flexibel und luftig
Weiches, dünnes und atmungsaktives Material, das schnell trocknet. Dank einer
gewissen Elastizität schmiegt es sich an den Körper des
Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen an. Dieser vielgenutzte Hebegurt eignet sich für
kurze Transfers. Er kann kurzzeitig in einem Stuhl oder Bett unter dem
Patienten/ Pflegebedürftigen verbleiben. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist, dass sich
der Hebegurt sehr gut zum Duschen und Baden eignet.
Soft Air Mesh
Dieses Material ist ein leichtes, kühles, weiches und atmungsaktives
Netzgewebe. Aufgrund seiner feuchtigkeitsregulierenden Eigenschaften sorgt der
Stoff dafür, dass Transpiration vom Körper durch das Gewebe nach außen
transportiert wird,
wo sie zügig verdunsten kann. Das Material hilft so dabei, die
Körpertemperatur niedrig zu halten. Ein weiterer Vorteil des Materials besteht
darin, dass es weniger anfällig für Bakterien und somit hygienischer ist.
Zudem ist es geruchsärmer, selbst bei intensiver Nutzung. Als ,,Two-Way
Stretch”-Material schmiegt es sich an wie eine zweite Haut. Hierdurch bietet
es eine gute Lösung für Patienten/Pflegebedürftige mit empfindlicher Haut. Das
Material fängt selbst ungewollte Bewegungen ab, wodurch es sich für
Patienten/Pflegebedürftige mit wechselnder Muskelspannung eignet. Hebegurte
aus diesem Gewebe können längere Zeit unter dem Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen
auf einem (angepassten Schalen-)Stuhl oder Bett verbleiben.

Befestigungsoptionen
Bei der Entwicklung unserer Hebegurte stand ein Gedanke im Mittelpunkt: Dass
alle Menschen einzigartig sind und daher beim Anheben unterschiedliche
Bedürfnisse, Anforderungen und Wünsche haben.
Ein Hebegurt muss so konzipiert und konstruiert sein, dass sich Fehler durch
falsches menschliches Handeln weitestgehend ausschließen lassen. Diese
Sichtweise war der Ausgangspunkt für die Entwicklung des Universal-
Sicherheitsclips. Nachweislich werden viele der Unfälle mit Liftern durch
fehlerhaftes Befestigen des Hebegurts am Bügel oder Ausleger verursacht. Der
Sicherheitsclip stellt somit eine wichtige Ergänzung dar, da er die
Wahrscheinlichkeit des Auftretens von Fehlern deutlich reduziert.
Der Clip wird um die Sicherheitsaufnahme des Hebebügels gelegt und rastet mit
einem hörbaren ,,Klick” ein. Die Pflegekraft weiß dann, dass der Clip sicher
eingerastet ist und ein versehentliches Lösen nunmehr ausgeschlossen ist.
Gewährleistet wird dies durch eine integrierte Sperre am Clip. Der Clip lässt
sich ganz einfach mit einer Hand lösen. Der Sicherheitsclip ist universell auf
alle Arten von Liftern anwendbar, die eine Sicherheitsaufnahme mit einem
Durchmesser zwischen 6,8 und 8,2 mm haben.
Hebegurte mit 4 Sicherheitsclips eignen sich ausschließlich für 4-Punkt- Sitz-/Liegebügel mit Sicherheitsaufnahme.

Kompatibilität
Die wechselbaren Hebegurte der Human Care Group sind für alle Lifter und
Hebebügel von Human Care geeignet. Die Produkte lassen sich auch mit Produkten
anderer Anbieten nutzen, die über dieselben Befestigungsoptionen zum Anbringen
von Hebegurten an Bügel und Lifter verfügen. Aufgrund der breiten
Produktauswahl auf dem weltweiten Markt haftet Human Care nicht für Fehler,
die durch unsachgemäße Verwendung bzw. Nutzung von Kombinationen aus
Hebegurten, Bügeln und Liftern anderer Anbieter entstehen können. Die Nutzung
der Systemkombination erfolgt auf eigenes Risiko; es haftet der verschreibende
Arzt.
Zur Gewährleistung der Sicherheit von Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen und
Pflegekraft empfiehlt Human Care die folgenden Mindestanforderungen:
1. Bei der Nutzung von Hebegurten mit Liftern und Bügeln anderer Hersteller
als Human Care müssen die zu kombinierenden Systeme über dieselbe Hebegurt-
Befestigungsmethode verfügen wie der Bügel des mobilen Lifters bzw.
Deckenlifters. Dies bedeutet, dass Schlaufen-Hebegurte sich mit einem
Schlaufen-Bügel kombinieren lassen und Clip-Hebegurte mit einem ClipBügel.
2. Die entsprechenden Patientenlifter und Hebegurte müssen eine CE-
Kennzeichnung gemäß der Richtlinie über Medizinprodukte MDD 93/42/EWG sowie
Richtlinie MDR 2017/745 haben und die Standardanforderungen für Lifter zum
Transfer von Menschen mit Behinderungen gemäß DIN EN ISO 10535 erfüllen.
3. Die Pflegekraft muss die Handbücher und Empfehlungen des Herstellers in
Bezug auf Gebrauch, Pflege, Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen, Pflegekraft,
Reinigung und Inspektion der Hebegurte und Lifter befolgen.
4. Für einige Produkte im montierten Liftersystem (dies umfasst Lifter,
Hebebügel, Hebegurt, Waage und sonstiges Zubehör) können unterschiedliche
Höchstlasten gelten. Von den auf den entsprechenden Produkten und Systemen
angegebenen Höchstlasten gilt immer der niedrigste Wert als zulässige
Belastung für das gesamte System. Prüfen Sie daher bei einem System immer die
Angaben sämtlicher dazugehöriger Produkte.
5. Es ist eine individuelle Risikobewertung erforderlich, die eine praktische
Prüfung des Systems und eine Validierung der exakten Kombination umfasst.
Diese Risikobewertung muss bestätigen, dass die Größe des Hebegurts für den
vorgesehenen Verwendungszweck korrekt gewählt und mit der Breite und der
Ausführung des Hebebügels vereinbar ist. Die für die Behandlung zuständige
Instanz hat die Systemkombination zu dokumentieren.

Hebegurt
Gurtnutzung
Für das Anheben des Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen aus liegender Position
empfehlen wir den Columbus Sling E-Clip 1. Drehen Sie den
Patienten/Pflegebedürf-
tigen auf seine Seite. Richten Sie den Hebegurt so aus, dass er mit der Mitte
eine Linie mit dem Rücken des Patienten bildet. Beachten Sie das Pfeilsymbol
auf dem Produktschild (Mitte, Ober- und Außenseite des Hebegurts). Der untere
Teil des Hebegurts muss direkt unter dem Steißbein des
Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen anliegen. Drehen Sie den
Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen so auf den Rücken, dass er auf dem Hebegurt liegt.
Bei höhenverstellbaren Betten empfiehlt es sich, das Kopfende hochzufahren,
sodass der Patient/Pflegebedürftige eine halb sitzende Stellung einnimmt.
2. Legen Sie die Beinteile des Hebegurts zwischen die Beine des
Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen. Senken Sie den Bügel des Lifters bis zum
Unterleib des Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen ab. Befestigen Sie die Clips am
Hebebügel. Befestigen Sie zunächst die Clips für die Schultern und dann die
für die Oberschenkel.
3. Halten Sie in dieser Position inne und stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Clips
ordnungsgemäß am Hebebügel befestigt sind. Die dunkelgrauen Teile müssen
geschlossen sein, sodass die Clips gesichert sind.
4. Fahren Sie mit dem Anheben des Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen fort.
Möglicherweise müssen Sie hierfür das Bett leicht absenken. Heben Sie die
Beine des Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen leicht an und drehen Sie ihn vom Bett
weg. Wenn Sie dabei Ihren Arm um den Patienten/Pflege-

bedürftigen legen, können Sie möglicherweise ein größeres Gefühl der
Sicherheit vermitteln.
Bei Verwendung des Sitz-/Liegebügels kann der Nutzer in die gewünschte
Stellung gebracht werden: Entweder liegend oder sitzend. Bringen Sie den
Nutzer je nach Bedarf mit Hilfe des (elektrischen) Sitz-/Liegebügels über
einem (Roll-)Stuhl in Sitzposition und z. B. über dem Bett in Liegeposition.
5. Hebegurt abnehmen Lösen Sie die Clips erst, wenn der Nutzer gänzlich auf
der Unterlage ruht, z. B. auf einem Bett oder Rollstuhl. Stellen Sie sicher,
dass der Hebebügel den Nutzer nicht berühren kann. Stellen Sie vor dem
Abnehmen des Hebegurts sicher, dass sämtliche Befestigungspunkte gelöst
wurden.
Sitzenden Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen anheben
1. Ziehen Sie den Hebegurt nach unten, hinter den Rücken des
Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen. Beachten Sie das Pfeilsymbol auf dem
Produktschild (Mitte, Ober- und Außenseite des Hebegurts). Die untere Kante
des Hebegurts muss hinter dem Steißbein des Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen sein.
2. Bringen Sie die Beinteile des Hebegurts nach vorne. Legen Sie die
Beinteile des Hebegurts nach oben zwischen die Beine des
Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen. Senken Sie den Bügel bis zum Unterleib des
Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen ab. Befestigen Sie die Clips am Hebebügel.
Befestigen Sie zunächst die Clips für die Schultern und dann die für die

Fehlerbehebung
Beschreibung Der Patient/Pflegebedürftige könnte aus dem Hebegurt rutschen.
Der Patient/Pflegebedürftige ist beim Anheben nicht im Gleichgewicht. Der
Hebegurt ist zu klein.
Behebungsmaßnahme
· Der Hebegurt ist zu groß. · Der Hebegurt ist nicht gänzlich geeignet die
Clips müssen gleich-
zeitig belastet werden. · Entweder wurden die Anweisungen im spezifischen
Protokoll nicht
befolgt oder es muss eine neue Bewertung/Anpassung erfolgen.
· Dies kann für den Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen unangenehm sein. Der Hebegurt
kann in die Haut des Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen einschneiden und/oder sein
Rücken wird nicht ausreichend gestützt.
Anmerkung: Es ist wichtig, dass für jeden Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen der richtige Hebegurt verwendet wird und dass bei einer separaten Kontrolle geprüft wird, ob der Hebegurt den Bedürfnissen des Patienten/ Pflegebedürftigen und der Transfersituation entspricht.
Wartungsanleitung
Auf Verschleiß prüfen Prüfen Sie den Hebegurt auf Verschleißerscheinungen. Es
ist wichtig, dass Gewebe, Außenkanten, Nähte und E-Clips vor jedem Gebraucht
überprüft werden. Hebegeräte und -zubehör mit Beschädigungen dürfen nicht
verwendet werden.
Reinigen Hebegurte von Human Care sind für den individuellen Gebrauch
vorgesehen. Um Infektionen oder die Übertragung von Bakterien zu verhindern,
ist sorgfältiges Reinigen des Hebegurts unerlässlich. Alle Hebegurte müssen so
schnell wie möglich in der Waschmaschine gewaschen und getrocknet werden. Nach
dem Gebrauch und nach dem Nasswerden müssen Hebegurte immer gesäubert werden.
Die Pflegesymbole für das Waschen entnehmen Sie dem Schild am Hebegurt.
Wiederkehrende Prüfung Mindestens alle sechs Monate muss eine wiederkehrende
Prüfung erfolgen. Siehe Formular von Human Care zur wiederkehrenden Prüfung.
Lebensdauer des Produktes Die erwartete Lebensdauer des Produkts beträgt 3
Jahre oder das 150-180-fache des Waschens, wenn das Produkt gemäß den
Herstellerhinweisen bestimmungsgemäß verwendet und gewartet wird, abhängig von
der Nutzungsintensität und der maximalen Belastung während des Gebrauchs. Wenn
das Produktlabel nicht mehr lesbar ist, sollte das Produkt entsorgt werden.

Recycling Sobald das Produkt das Ende seiner Lebensdauer erreicht hat, sollte

Desinfektionsverfahren Hebegurte von Human Care sind für den Gebrauch von jeweils einem Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen vorgesehen. Zur Vermeidung einer möglichen Übertragung von Infektionskrankheiten ist es wichtig, den Hebegurt zu reinigen, wenn er schmutzig geworden ist oder wenn er von einem anderen Patienten/Pflegebedürftigen verwendet werden soll.
25011C: Die Rippen müssen beim Waschen entfernt werden. Die Rippen müssen wieder in den Gurt eingesetzt werden, bevor ein Transfer mit einem Kunden durchgeführt wird.

Tilband
Veiligheidsinstructies
Het tillen en uitvoeren van een transfer met een cliënt gaat gepaard met
risico’s. Hierdoor is het van belang dat u de handleiding voor de lift en de
tilband zorgvuldig leest. Verzeker uzelf ervan dat het tilsysteem dat u
gebruikt binnen het bedoelde gebruik van de lift is. Als zorgverlener bent u
verantwoordelijk voor de cliënt’s veiligheid en u dient te weten of de cliënt
in staat is om het liftproces aan te kunnen. De tilband dient te passen bij de
cliënt’s behoeften. Indien u twijfelt, wordt aanbevolen contact op te nemen
met de leverancier.
· Inspecteer visueel de tilband iedere keer voordat u deze gebruikt.
· Controleer dat de juiste tilband wordt gebruikt voor de cliënt. Het model,
de maat en het materiaal dienen te passen bij de cliënt’s behoeften.
· Plan het transfer en liftproces zodat deze zo veilig mogelijk kan worden
uitgevoerd.
· Controleer voorafgaande aan het tillen van de cliënt, dat de tilband correct
is bevestigd aan het tiljuk, wanneer de clips belast zijn.
· Het is belangrijk dat de clips correct bevestigd zijn: Breng de clip aan
middels het grote gat (foto 1) en trek deze vervolgens naar het kleine gat. De
donkergrijze delen borgen automatisch de clipbevestiging (foto 2 en 3). U
hoort de clip vastklikken.
· Controleer of de cliënt veilig in de tilband zit, voorafgaande aan het
tillen van hem/haar.
· Controleer of de lift in balans is tijdens het verplaatsen en omhoog/omlaag
tillen van de cliënt.
· Laat een cliënt nooit zonder toezicht achter in de tillift.
· Onze tilbanden zijn ontworpen en getest voor gebruik binnenshuis door één
cliënt per keer en mag alleen gebruikt worden voor het tillen van een persoon.
Het product is geen schommel.
· De tilband mag niet in contact komen met scherpe voorwerpen.

Algemene beschrijving /Beoogd gebruik
De Human Care Full Body Sling E-clip is voornamelijk ontworpen voor het tillen
van personen die volledige ondersteuning van het lichaam behoeven. De tilband
voldoet zelfs bij het tillen van de vloer door de geïntegreerde hoofdsteun. De
tilband brengt de cliënt in een achterovergekantelde positie, waardoor de druk
op de cliënt’s benen vermindert. De Full Body Sling E-clip Soft heeft een
gewatteerde hoofdsteun. De Full Body Sling In-Situ E-clip heeft verwijderbare
baleinen voor het geval de tilband achter de cliënt blijft. Door de baleinen
te verwijderen is de hoofdsteun flexibel en weg te vouwen na de transfer. De
baleinen dienen in de hiervoor bestemde locatie te zijn tijdens de transfer
voor een adequate hoofdondersteuning.
De Columbus Sling biedt door zijn ovale vorm een comfortable ondersteuning aan
het hoofd, de romp, de bovenbenen en bovendien het zitvlak, waardoor de cliënt
een veilige houding ervaart. Deze tilband is uitermate geschikt voor cliënten
met een beperkte rompstabiliteit en/of ander lichaamszwaartepunt door
bijvoorbeeld een amputatie of het dragen van een corset. De tilband heeft een
ingenaaide zitting, waardoor de cliënt op de tilband zit en de beenslips zijn
vervallen. Hierdoor beleeft de cliënt een
optimaal cocoon gevoel, wat veiligheid door diverse factoren kan bevorderen.
De tilbanden zijn ontworpen voor vierpuntsbevestiging aan een kanteljuk en
zijn verkrijgbaar in 2 materialen.
Polyester net flexibel en luchtig
Zacht en dun materiaal dat ademt en snel droogt. Het heeft lichte elastische
eigenschappen om zich te vormen naar het lichaam van
de cliënt. Het is een veelgebruikte tilband voor korte transfers. De tilband
kan kortere tijd achter de cliënt blijven in een stoel of bed. Extra voordeel
is dat de tilband zeer geschikt is voor douchen en baden.
Soft air mesh
Dit materiaal is een lichtgewicht, koele, zachte en ademend net stof. Deze
stof heeft vochtbeheersende eigenschappen, die transpiratie van het lichaam
via het weefsel naar het oppervlak transporteert waar het snel kan verdampen.
Het materiaal helpt de lichaamstemperatuur laag te houden. Het materiaal heeft
tevens het voordeel dat het minder gevoelig is voor bacteriën, waardoor er is
sprake is van een betere hygiëne. Tevens ruikt het materiaal minder, ondanks
intensief gebruik. Het materiaal, dat “two-way stretch”eigenschappen heeft, is
in staat het lichaam te omhelzen als een tweede huid. Hierdoor is het geschikt
voor cliënten met een gevoelige huid. Tevens vangt het materiaal
onwillekeurige bewegingen op, waardoor het geschikt is voor gebruikers met een
wisselende spierspanning. Een tilband van dit materiaal kan langere tijd
achter de cliënt in een (gemoduleerde kuip) stoel of bed blijven.

Het is cruciaal om de juiste maat tilband voor de cliënt toe te passen. Ter
herkenning van onze maten, zijn er kleurcodes voor een snelle identificatie.
De kleurcode bevindt zich naast het label van de tilband in de vorm van een
lus. Deze lus kan tevens gebruikt worden om de tilband netjes op te
bergen/hangen.

Bevestigingsmogelijkheden
Onze tilbanden zijn ontworpen vanuit het idee dat alle mensen verschillend
zijn met een variatie van eisen, behoeften en wensen ten aanzien van het
tillen.
De constructie en uitvoering van een tilband moet zodanig zijn dat fouten,
gemaakt door verkeerd menselijk handelen, zoveel mogelijk uitgesloten worden.
Vanuit dit oogpunt is de
universele veilige clip ontwikkeld. Het blijkt dat veel van de ongelukken met
tilliften plaatsvinden door het onjuist bevestigen van de tilband aan het juk
of de hefarm. De veiligheidsclip is een belangrijke toevoeging, omdat het de
mogelijkheid tot fouten sterk vermindert.
De clip wordt om de paddenstoelbevestiging van het tiljuk gelegd en sluit zich
met een duidelijke `klik’. De verzorgende weet nu dat de clip goed vastzit en
niet meer onverwacht kan losschieten. De clip heeft een ingebouwde borging om
dit te voorkomen. Het losmaken van de clip kan heel gemakkelijk met één hand
gebeuren. De veilige clip is universeel inzetbaar op alle typen liften die
zijn uitgerust met paddenstoelbevestiging met een diameter tussen 6,8 en 8,2
mm.
Tilbanden met 4 veiligheidsclips zijn uitsluitend geschikt voor een 4-punts
kanteljuk met pad-
denstoelbevestiging.

Compatibel
Human Care Group uitwisselbaar tilbanden zijn ontworpen voor alle Human Care
liften en tiljukken. De producten zijn tevens te gebruiken met producten van
andere leveranciers, die voorzien zijn van dezelfde bevestigingsmethode voor
het bevestigen van tilbanden aan een juk en lift. Vanwege het brede scala van
producten wereldwijd, kan Human Care niet verantwoordelijk worden gesteld voor
fouten die kunnen voortvloeien uit onjuist gebruik of toepassing van
combinaties van tilbanden, jukken en liften van andere leveranciers. Het
gebruik van het gecombineerde systeem is op eigen risico en aansprakelijkheid
van de adviseur.
Om de veiligheid van de cliënt en zorgverlener te waarborgen, beveelt Human
Care de volgende minimumvereisten aan:
1. Bij gebruik van tilbanden met liften en jukken, gemaakt door andere
fabrikanten dan Human Care, moet het gecombineerde systeem zijn ontworpen met
dezelfde tilbandbevestigingsmethode voor het juk van verrijdbare liften en
plafondliften, dit betekent dat lusvormige tilbanden worden gecombineerd met
een lus-stijl juk, tilbanden met clips worden gecombineerd met een clip-stijl
juk.
2. De betrokken patiëntenliften en tilbanden moeten CE-gemarkeerd zijn in
overeenstemming met de richtlijn medische hulpmiddelen, MDD 93/42/EEC en MDR
2017/745 en voldoen aan de standaard-
vereisten voor patiëntenliften zoals vermeld in EN ISO 10535.
3. De zorgverlener moeten de handleidingen en aanbevelingen van de fabrikant
volgen met betrekking tot het gebruik, de zorg, cliënt, zorgverlener,
reiniging en inspectie van de tilbanden en liften.
4. Verschillende producten op het geassembleerde liftsysteem: d.w.z. lift,
tiljuk, tilband, weegschaal en andere accessoires, kunnen voor verschillende
maximale belastingen zijn. Het is altijd de laagste maximaal toegestane
belasting, die wordt aangegeven voor de respectievelijke producten en het
systeem, dat geldt voor het hele systeem. Controleer altijd de markeringen op
alle afzonderlijke producten in het systeem.
5. Individuele risicobeoordeling, met inbegrip van een praktische test van
het systeem en validatie van de specifiek gebruikte combinatie, is vereist om
te bevestigen dat de maat van de tilband correct is voor het beoogde gebruik
en compatibel is met de breedte en het ontwerp van het tiljuk. Het
gecombineerde systeem moet worden gedocumenteerd door de bevoegde behandelaar.
Neem bij vragen contact op met uw plaatselijk Human Care kantoor of
distributeur.

Sling Applicatie
De cliënt optillen vanuit een liggende positie, aanbevolen voor Columbus Sling
E-clip 1. Draai de cliënt op zijn/haar zijde. Plaats de
tilband zo dat het midden van de tilband op één lijn ligt met de rug van de
cliënt. Let op het pijl-symbool op het productlabel (midden, boven- en
buitenkant tilband). Het onderste deel van de tilband moet zich direct onder
het stuitbeen van de cliënt bevinden. Draai de cliënt op zijn/haar rug en
breng de tilband er onderdoor. Leg de cliënt op zijn/haar rug. Als het bed in
hoogte verstelbaar is, is het een goed idee om het hoofdeinde van het bed
omhoog te brengen, zodat de cliënt in een halfzittende positie komt.
2. Breng de beendelen van de tilband tussen de cliënt’s benen door. Laat het
juk van de lift zakken tot op de buik van de cliënt. Bevestig de clips aan het
tiljuk. Bevestig eerst de clips bij de schouders en daarna de clips bij de
bovenbenen.
3. Pauzeer in deze positie en controleer of alle clips goed aan het tiljuk
bevestigd zijn. De donkergrijze delen zijn in de gesloten positie, zodat de
clips geborgd zijn.
4. Ga door met het tillen van de cliënt. Het kan nodig zijn om het bed iets
te laten zakken. Til de benen van de cliënt iets op en draai hem/haar weg van
het bed. Het is mogelijk om uw arm om de cliënt te slaan terwijl u hem/haar
beweegt om een groter gevoel van veiligheid te creëren.

worden tussen een lig- en zitpositie. Breng de gebruiker door middel van het
(elektrische) kanteljuk in een zitpositie als deze zich boven de (rol)stoel
bevindt of in ligpositie als de gebruiker zich bijvoorbeeld boven het bed
bevindt.
5. Verwijderen tilband Maak de clips pas los als de gebruiker volledig rust
op een vaste ondergrond bijvoorbeeld bed of rolstoel. Controleer of het tiljuk
de gebruiker niet raakt. Controleer of alle bevestigingspunten los zijn
voordat u de tilband verwijdert.
De cliënt optillen vanuit een zittende positie 1. Trek de tilband naar beneden
achter de
rug van de cliënt. Let op het pijl-symbool op het productlabel (midden, boven-
en buitenkant tilband). De onderkant van de tilband moet zich achter het
stuitbeen van de cliënt bevinden.
2. Breng de beendelen van de tilband naar voren. Plaats de beendelen omhoog
tussen de benen van de cliënt. Laat het juk zakken tot op de buik van de
cliënt. Bevestig de clips aan het tiljuk. Bevestig eerst de clips bij de
schouders en daarna de clips bij de bovenbenen.
3. Pauzeer in deze positie en controleer of alle clips goed aan het tiljuk
bevestigd zijn. De donkergrijze delen van de clips zijn in de gesloten
positie, zodat de clips geborgd zijn.

4. Ga door met het tillen van de cliënt. Het is mogelijk om uw arm om de
cliënt te slaan terwijl u hem/haar beweegt om een groter gevoel van veiligheid
te creëren.
Bij gebruik van het kanteljuk kan de gebruiker in elke gewenste stand gebracht
worden tussen een lig- en zitpositie.

Problemen oplossen
Beschrijving De cliënt zou uit de tilband kunnen glijden.
De cliënt is uit balans wanneer deze wordt opgetild. De tilband is te klein.

belast te worden. · De instructies in het individuele logboek zijn niet
opgevolgd of er
moet een nieuwe beoordeling/passing worden uitgevoerd. · Dit kan ongemakkelijk
zijn voor de cliënt. De tilband kan in het
lichaamsvlees van de cliënt snijden en/of zijn/haar rug heeft mogelijk
onvoldoende ondersteuning.
Opmerking: Het is belangrijk dat voor elke cliënt de juiste tilband wordt gebruikt en dat deze afzonderlijk wordt getest om te controleren of deze voldoet aan de behoefte van de cliënt en de transfersituatie.
Onderhoudsinstructies
Controleer op slijtage Controleer de tilband op slijtage. Het is belangrijk om
de stof, de buitenranden, de naden en de e-clips voor gebruik te controleren.
Beschadigde liftapparatuur mag niet worden gebruikt.
Reinigen Human Care tilbanden zijn bedoeld voor individueel gebruik. Om
infecties of overdracht van bacteriën te voorkomen, is het belangrijk om de
tilbanden goed schoon te maken. Alle tilbanden moeten zo snel mogelijk in de
machine worden gewassen en gedroogd. Tilbanden moeten altijd worden
schoongemaakt na gebruik in een natte situatie.

Periodieke keuring Een periodieke keuring moet ten minste om de zes maanden
worden uitgevoerd. Zie het periodieke keuringsformulier van Human Care.
Levensduur product De verwachte levensduur van het product is 3 jaar of
150-180 keer wassen, als het product wordt gebruikt zoals bedoeld en
onderhouden volgens de instructies van de fabrikant, afhankelijk van de
intensiteit van het gebruik en de maximale belasting die tijdens het gebruik
wordt toegepast. Als het productlabel niet meer leesbaar is, moet het product
worden weggegooid.

Recyclen Volg de in uw land geldende regels voor de gescheiden inzameling
producten, in het bijzonder van elektrische en elektronische producten. Als u
oude producten correct verwijdert, voorkomt u negatieve gevolgen voor het
mileu en de volksgezondheid.

Desinfectie procedure Human Care tilbanden zijn bedoeld voor één cliënt per keer. Om mogelijke overdracht van infectieziekten te voorkomen, is het belangrijk om de tilband schoon te maken als deze vuil is geworden of als deze door een andere cliënt gebruikt wordt.
25011C: De baleinen dienen verwijderd te worden tijdens het wassen. De baleinen dienen teruggeplaatst te zijn in de tilband voordat een transfer met een clënt wordt uitgevoerd.

Chemische desinfectie: 70% ethanol, 45% isopropanol of vergelijkbaar
Thermische desinfectie: wassen op 65 ° C (149 ° F) gedurende minimaal 10
