SAFETY & WARNINGS
Ensure to read all instructions in this user guide prior to first use. Retain this user guide for future reference. Misuse may cause injuries to people and damage property.
- Install the equipment correctly to ensure the required space size, including the minimum allowable distance to adjacent structures.
- Do not install the air conditioner where flammable gases leak (for example, propane, and acetylene.
- Keep at least a one metre clearance between any electronic devices (for example, televisions and radios) and the air conditioner.
- Do not place anything near the air outlet as this will reduce performance and increase noise.
- If you hear abnormal sounds while using the air conditioner, stop use and contact help.Kogan.com for assistance.
- Do not install in commercial areas. This bracket is designed for domestic use. Installing it elsewhere may cause malfunctions.
- Do not use any extension cords.
- Do not connect the power cord of the air conditioner to other electrical equipment as this may cause danger.
- If there are two power sockets, use them separately and check if the outlet is 220V, and 16A or higher.
- If the electrical capacity of the indoor wiring exceeds the allowable capacity, this may cause fire, electric shock or overheating of the power plug of the air conditioner.

BEFORE INSTALLATION
Location
- Choose a location that can withstand the weight of the air conditioner without increasing noise and vibration.
- Install it near the entrance and exit where there is no obstruction to airflow and the entire room can be cooled.
- Keep at least a one metre clearance between any electronic devices (for example, televisions and radios) and the air conditioner.
- Be sure that the hot/cold air and noise will not disturb your neighbours.
- Do not place anything near the air outlet of the air conditioner as this will reduce performance and increase noise.
- Ensure there are no heat sources near the location where the air conditioner will be installed.
- Ensure windows are strong and do not vibrate during windy conditions.
- Do not install the air conditioner in a location that will result in the hot air blowing from the back of the unit to blow into windows of adjacent housing/buildings.
- Do not install in an area where flammable gases are present.
Electrical safety

Installation of earth and earth leakage circuit breakers
- Grounding work and earth leakage breakers are required to prevent electric shock.
Do not connect the ground wire in the following places
- Gas pipes
- Water pipes
- Lightning rods, ground wires, and telephone lines
Window size requirements
To use the 90cm extension bracket, it must be attached to the standard frame provided with the Kogan 2.6kW Vertical Window Air Conditioner.
- The opening width of the window should be wider than 46cm.
- The height of the window opening must be between 180–235cm.
Window type
- Window frames should have grooves.
- If there are no grooves, or the location is difficult to install, contact help.Kogan.com for support.
INSTALLATION
- Using a Phillips head screwdriver (not supplied), remove the two plate fixing screws (1) and nuts (2) from the fixing plate at the bottom of the standard frame. Remove the fixing plate.
- Align the holes on the fixing plate onto those on the bottom of the extension bracket. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, secure the plate fixing screws and nuts to attach the fixing plate to the extension bracket.
- Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the four bottom plate fixing screws (3) on the standard frame. This will detach the bottom of the standard mounting bracket.
- Align the holes on the side of the extension bracket with those on the side of the standard frame. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to secure the four fixing screws (3) through the holes, connecting the extension bracket to the standard frame.
- Note: If the screws are broken, use the included 10mm ST5 screws.
- Using two 10mm ST4 screws (4), connect the top plate of the extension bracket to the bottom plate of the standard frame.
- Once attached, follow the installation method found in the user guide for the Kogan 2.6kW Vertical Window Air Conditioner. Note that as opposed to attaching the bottom of the standard frame to the window, the bottom of the extension bracket is attached instead.
