Channel Mounting
Product Information: Vision120 – 120V Flexible LED Tape
Vision120 is a 120V flexible LED tape designed for indoor and outdoor use. It provides a bright and flexible lighting solution that can be easily mounted on any surface. The tape comes with a channel mounting system and can be either plugged into a wall outlet or hardwired for permanent installation.
Specifications:
- Voltage: 120V
- Length: Available in various lengths
- Color Temperature: 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K
- Dimmable: Yes
- Water Resistance: IP65 (for outdoor use)
Product Usage Instructions:
- Determine the layout and placement of the LED tape. Clean the surface where you are applying the tape to make sure it is free of dust and any material that may impede adhesive or clean installation of mounting channel.
- Power Feed: Vision120 can be either plugged into a wall outlet or hardwired into a power feed. Always use the original inline 8 amp fuse for both plug-in and hardwire options. For hardwire applications, use a proper J-box by others. Connect V120-PCHW to leads coming out of the junction box.
- Installing V120 Channel: When using screws, mark where mounting holes are to be drilled every twelve inches and install channel, screwing counter-sunk screws (by others) into the mounting surface. When using 3M tape, apply it along the entire length of the channel. If you are using other channels, i.e., LED-CHL-XD, use 3M adhesive back to hold tape into this larger channel.
- Installing Tape without Mounting Channel: For tape installations indoors, where there is no moisture present, apply 3M double-stick tape (sold separately) to the entire length of LED tape and peel back to expose adhesive. Firmly press tape into position.
- Attaching Lens and End Caps: Press the lens down so that it is captured inside the rails of the mounting channel. Attach end caps – one cap for the end of the run, the other cap for the power connection end. Pry open the tab for the power connection end for the power connector cable. This end cap hides the connector.
Note: Vision120 tape is not field cuttable or joinable. Do not exceed cornering tolerances of tape. Tape cannot round a corner tighter than 2.5. For outdoor mounting, apply a bead of waterproof silicone around the base of the channel and seal lens to channel with caulk.
IMPORTANT: We recommend that you engage a qualified and licensed electrician for installation. Modifying or disassembling beyond instructions will void the warranty for this product.
